The campground is on the far northeast of the State Fairgrounds. It is fenced, and gates are opened during events. It's about a half mile walk to the livestock buildings. The campground is basically a gravel lot with one-lane asphalt streets, 40' poured concrete pads on narrow sites. Parking a 40' motorhome would be very difficult for me if there weren't an empty space next to me or across the street. Our neighbor's awning was less than 4" from our slide out. With slides out on the MH, there was not enough room to park a car on the site. Bathrooms/showers are new and clean and double as a storm shelter. There is Wi-Fi in the park, but it was not turned on the week we were there. The weeds needed mowing or spraying and were 6-18" tall on our site. For a State Fairground, it's pretty nice. Too bad they crammed everything so close together and don't tend to the weeds. Trains roll through town about every 20 minutes day and night, horns blaring. There is an outdoor waterpark a half mile away. We camped at State Fair Campgrounds at Fonner Park in a Motorhome.Undo
