We have stayed here twice in the past 9 years. It is fairly handy off I-80. The sites are very close together and roads are tight. We were able to get needed turns made with our motorhome and tow car. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.
West Omaha is within 10 miles. Shopping strip mall is at the exit for the KOA.

First Impression: Hairpin turn getting in. Access road has serious ruts and holes. Okay curbside appeal. CG is moderately wooded. Safety: no concerns - peaceful. Access: I-80, exit 432, north less than a mile, follow signs. GPS took us right in. Office: Friendly reception, nice store with snacks, souvenirs, RV equipment items. Homemade pizza (very good), "Mega S'mores" (addicting). Sodas, beer, and wine. Facilities: Pool, no spa, volleyball, mini-golf, horseshoes, etc. No fitness center. Small, clean laundry room. Restrooms/showers modern and very clean (score "A"). Propane for sale at $3.30/gallon. Big playground. Fenced dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. Roads are narrow, dirt/gravel with "ok" turns; no overhead obstacles. Big rig sites at the rear of the CG. Sites for transients are slide-to-slide, cramped, marginally level, pull-through, sparse gravel and dirt. Grass in between. Electric/water at rear of site with FHU-20/30; no meters. Low water pressure with "ok" taste. Sewer pipe is mid-rig, threaded, ranging from ground level to about 4" above ground level. Premier sites have wooden patios, longer with more space. Nice, plastic picnic tables. Open fires permitted in fire rings. Challenging satellite views. Free cable TV (36 channels) but reception "stutters". Free Tengonet Wi-Fi with excellent coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone at 5-bars. No railroad, aircraft, or traffic noise. Limited recycle bins. Tent area and KOA cabins. Bug Report: small black ants but not around sites (late May). Runners: CG roads marginal for running, no fitness room so no treadmills. Yoga: no place to put your mat unless you get a patio. Conclusion: Acceptable for an overnight or two. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Highway 6, north into Gretna found various fast food restaurants, an outlet mall, and a few local restaurants. Wal-Mart. Groceries. Diesel at Shell for $2.359. O'Reillys auto parts.

We had a nice concrete pad with a very nice patio with a swing and chairs. WIFI is tengonet that you have to pay for, I would think for this amount WIFI should be included. The best thing about this park is the fresh Hunt Brothers Pizza delivered to your site. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Just an overnight, so didn't use any amenities. Hookups good, cable included, WiFi actually reaches my site (about 6 spaces from office) and they say it will reach all the sites. Not far off the Interstate, so cell reception is good. These little things matter when traveling. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed during the off-season on our way back to Chicago from out west. We've stayed here a few times before in cabins but this was our first time in a regular RV site. No staff around when we were there so can't say anything really about service. It had rained earlier that day and our site was quite muddy. Proximity of this park is very close to I-80 and we were one of the closest sites to the highway but, even with the corn down, I didn't hear much traffic noise at all even though I could see it. A new outlet mall has sprung up at this exit since our last visit and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Gas is also convenient. There were a few other through-travelers like us and some seasonal folks around the night we were there. We didn't see any though-travelers but the seasonal folks were very friendly. Bathrooms are decent and decorated in wood--nice touch. Lots of hot water which is wonderful on a cold, rainy, muddy March day. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.
If you need to gas up do it at this exit as you come off of I-80 and not when you're getting back on. When getting back on there a no-left-turn from the station so you'd need to go down to the light where they allow u-turns. It's tight there. After executing the u-turn and entering the highway I realized that the due to the tight turn, our electric cord came loose. Had to pull off the next exit and reconnect the cord.

Very pretty flowers and grounds-well cared for.
Nice clean kids play area with jumping pillow, swings, zip line, mini golf and sandbox.
Clean bathrooms and showers and laundry next to office.
Your trash is picked up daily-just put trash bag it in front of campsite.
Nice treed sites with hookups.
Some sites have a concrete pad or wooden deck and some have patio furniture.
All had picnic tables and an outdoor light.
Quiet time from 10pm to 8 am which is appreciated.
Everyone was helpful.
We spent 4 days there to visit friends in Omaha. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice KOA. Sites are very close together, but most are "big rig" accessible. Even with completely full CG, power was a full 120v. Tenengo wifi, usual campground speeds (good during off hours, almost unusable during peak periods). Friendly, very helpful staff. Sites reasonably level. Enhanced playground for kids. On site pizza delivery! We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pleasant place to stay while visiting Omaha for relative's wedding. I've stayed here many times in the past and have always been pleased with the facility and staff. I highly recommend this campground to my friends and family. My grand kids loved the KOA campground. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice park: Flat, level gravel pull through site that was just long enough so I did not have to unhook my truck from my trailer. Site had wooden deck with a nice wooden picnic table. There was also a BBQ and fire pit on the site. Spots are close together, we were led to our spot by a KOA staff member which made maneuvering into the site very easy. It feels if you are in the country, but you can definitely hear the freeway. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant. We ordered a pizza from the office, that was delivered to our site. The pizza was excellent and the price was reasonable. The campground is full of mature trees. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet and out in the country. Sites are a little close together; meaning your neighbors' dump hose runs 2 feet from your picnic table. There was one issue where a visitor parked his car in the entry lane, and campground staff went to great lengths to track down the owner and get the car moved. Park has a nice playground for the kids with one of those inflatable bounce pillows. Camp store is well stocked. There is a breakfast buffet, but we needed to be on the road early and didn't look into this. Dinner & snacks are available at the camp store, there is some delivery options that will bring it right to your site. Some fast food options and a Pilot/Flying J at the nearest I-80 exit. Walmart is about a mile east on I-80. Very isolated, and very quiet. We were there for one night, most of the others seem to be spending a week there for vacation. It is Nebraska, and can be windy at times. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.
There is a large outlet mall at the Gretna I-80 exit. This looked crowded and difficult to get into with a trailer, so we didn't bother, but if outlets are your thing, you won't want to miss it.

We stayed one night at this KOA, arriving after dark. The park entrance is very poorly lit and somewhat deceptive. The driveway is not at the KOA sign, you have to go past the sign and find the driveway entrance in the dark with oncoming traffic that is going 60 mph. The entrance involves a sharp, almost U-turn into the driveway and back-tracking to the office.
You can pull up to either side of the office building to check in...it's easier to get into the interior with roads if you pull up on the right side, especially with a larger vehicle.
This is an older campground, the interior roads are very narrow and the sites are very close and unlevel. There are concrete or wood patios/decks at many sites. You are really on top of your neighbors. There is little or no lighting on the roads or signs -- check the campground map very carefully before trying to find your site.
The campground has a nice pet walk area. Hookups worked fine and television reception was good.
Several other reviewers have mentioned the muddy conditions after rainfall. In dry weather, this campground is extremely dusty. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

When we made our reservation, we asked for a SAT TV friendly site. When we checked in, the lady at the desk (who was very nice) had no idea about tree cover or SAT TV suitability. You guessed it...the site, though nice, was not SAT TV friendly. The advertised "free wifi" was unusable most of the time. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice KOA. But I think if you advertise an amenity, you should deliver. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

Our site was an electric and water site but we paid the regular price. The site was about 10' from the dusty entrance road and another 30' from the highway. Needless to say it was noisy. Other than that it's a typical KOA with too many kid things. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

Came in tired, so was good to have an easy check-in, and to also be able to order Hot Breadsticks/Marinara snack from Pizza corner of Office, and due to the fact that we had made reservations in March, we received the standard rate, not the higher rate for special event times. Overall a very nice place to stay with guidance to our site and easy hookup as did not unhook our tow vehicle for overnighter. Overall a very nice place to stay and would definitely stay here again - but will check on "special events" going on in the area as this does have a tendency to rain prices for all places. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.
Can't really speak for places to see & do as we were there for an overnight stay. But was fairly quiet even with lots of activity going on with 'bike' rentals, etc. and families spending Father's Day together. There is a coffee in the office for those wishing a cup of coffee, snacks available to buy, etc.

ONLY stayed 3 nights due to the high cost and the only real RV park around Omaha (even though its 20-ish miles from Omaha). When we arrived the owners were yelling at each other across the office calling each other all kinds of names. We had an escort to our deluxe site (as we require full hookups and 50 amps, can't run on 1 a/c when it's this hot), roads are dusty , WiFi is weak and you can hear the freeway (I-80) all day and night long. (just over the fence). The dog park is nice but up near the entrance road. Facilities are clean, grounds are clean, unfortunately the owner's issue in the office really ruined the experience. I expect A LOT more from KOA-branded park. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

If you don't want to be on a junk mail list, you are not required to provide a street address to a KOA. Just provide a zip code.DXSMac • April 2015
