This is a clean parking area with some train and traffic noise. Truck drivers sometimes use it as a rest area, so there are sometimes idling diesels. It's near level dirt and fine gravel. After a heavy rain, there can be large areas of standing water. Roads are wide concrete in excellent condition. The dump is free. Two potable water spigots are located by the tree line along Avenue N. Staff are friendly and helpful. Verizon data service download speed (kB/s): max 266, typical 120. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

If rated against all electric only facilities, rating would be a "10". This is an easy in and out of the fairground parking lot and any size rig can easily fit with no obstructions to enter or depart. The area is a large, level gravel parking lot that is immediately on your right as you turn east off Ave N through the Fairground's gate. CAUTION if you are following a GPS with the address -- DO NOT turn off Ave N until you get to the main gate which is directly into the parking lot. The gate is very wide with a bordering white wood fence with houses along west side of the street. There are eight light poles, spaced well apart in the parking lot and electrical hookups are mounted on the poles. Most of the poles had multiple 20, 30, and 50 amp receptacles. There are also two sites with 30 amp power and a water hookup on the grass alongside the fence and trees parallel to Ave N. There is a free dump station. Power was good, and it was very quiet here. There are no assigned spaces; it's just a large, well groomed gravel lot that can easily hold 50 rigs for dry camping if the power sites are taken. You just park wherever you want and then go into the Fair Office and pay or use the drop box next to the office door. Dry camping is free. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

No bells and whistles: just an open area next to the power poles. One 50amp and three 30 amps at each of 6 poles in the west parking lot. Easy to get to, and close to everything. The nice town of Kearney is growing. There is a dump station along the white fence. Nice place to stop for a couple of nights while you see the sites. Archway was nice, and the people are very friendly. Great place to let the dogs run, but watch out for the construction workers driving in and out of the lot. The station where you come in, is at the beginning of Ave N. Campground has a fair price and a good price for propane. We would stay here again. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

There is a 50 Amp and three 30 Amp hookups each, on a number of poles in a large parking lot spot within the fairgrounds, just inside the entrance on N Street. There is a dump station. There are no water hookups in the camping area. It is a good place to stop for a couple of nights. We would use these facilities again. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

After driving about a mile and a half through town: it's an easy in and out of the fairground campground and any size rig can easily fit here. The camping area is a large, level gravel parking lot that is immediately on your right as you come through the Fairground's gate. There are eight light poles, spaced well apart in the parking lot and electrical hookups are mounted on the poles. Most of the poles had multiple 50 amp receptacles in addition to multiple 20 amp receptacles. There were a few 30 amp receptacles. There are also two sites with 30 amp power and a water hookup on the grass under some big trees. There is a free dump station. Power was good and it was very quiet here. There are no assigned spaces here; it's just an enormous, well groomed gravel lot that can easily hold 50 rigs. You just park wherever you want and then go into the Fair Office and pay. Dry camping is free and there is no stay limit. This campground is a good base for exploring Kearney's many interesting attractions including the Great Platte River Road Archway Museum, The Trails and Rails Museum, the Nebraska Firefighters Museum and Education Center, and Fort Kearney. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a big mostly level gravel parking lot with electric hookups attached to the light poles. They are mostly 20 amp, but we did find a 30 amp against the tree line. There are water fauscets for filling your tanks and also a dump station. There are no restrooms or showers. It was adequate for our one night stay. See their web site for telephone number and directions. We camped at Buffalo County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
