A nice park with a mix of back-in and pull-through sites, many of which are long enough for big rigs. Sites are gravel with grass between. Lot of trees; we couldn't get satellite but there is good selection of cable channels. Friendly staff, provided escort to site. Wi fi worked pretty well. Downtown Lincoln and University of Nebraska are only 15 minutes away. Convenient to I-80, which did result in some road noise. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Nice park overall. Entrance/exit are good, but a little tight to maneuver through park. Sites are long and wide enough. Space between sites is grassy, nice and shady (but ok for sat dish), and dog run is fantastic! However, there is no walkway from the back rows to the restrooms, laundry, or pool, so sites B3, B4, and B5 become public walkways, with people walking through your site at all hours of day and night. Office staff is nice, and check-in was fast. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Lincoln is a great place to shop and eat.

Very nice. Friendly, flexible owners/staff. Clean shower facilities and a sizable laundry facility. Well stocked store.

They serve all you can eat pancakes, sausage, etc. on Saturday a.m 's for $5 and have some other meals and events throughout the week in summer.

Tons of amenities. Well kept pool and an indoor hot tub. A jumping pad and several playgrounds for kids. They give barrel train rides for the kids as well. Looked like fun. Sites and roads are gravel. Ours had a picnic table and fire ring. There were premium sites that had larger patios, swings and some may have had grills.

Lots of trees so satellite reception could be an issue in some sites. WiFi was quite good. I worked remotely most of the time we were there so I used it quite a bit. The sites near the highway had some road noise but it was not that bad. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed here for 10 days during the College World Series. It was about a 50 minute drive to get to the stadium in Omaha, but much less crowded and they were flexible w/ our schedule.

Google & Apple map directions are accurate. Park was easy in/out. Park is quite large, with a mix of short & long term campers, which was not an issue. For an overnight stay they put us in the back, closer to the freeway, which had some road noise, but no more than the ciccadas! It was very hot so our windows were closed and we didn't hear any noise. Our site was pull thru, long and wide enough for our 43' MH & TV and 4 slides. Had picnic table & firepit, which were both too close to coach to use. We had full hook ups, which all worked well, including running 3 ACs. Site was gravel & level, I didn't see anyone on blocks. We had a good amount of shade, but they asked when we checked in if we use sattelite and we were able to get good reception on Directv. Had several wifi antennas around campground and worked very well, enen in the evening. Amenities were good, camp store with small kitchen & ice cream, small pool, laundry facility, play ground for kids, had a designated pet area, but campers in front of us just used their grassy area, which probably accounted for some odors in grassy areas (maybe should be a little stricter). Good stop which I would use again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend. 50A, FHU, cable, wifi, picnic table. Rather expensive ..... not a resort although they have a lot of amenities. Gravel interior roads and sites. Roomy pull thru sites. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All things Lincoln, U of N, close access to Seward, NE "America's Official Fourth of July City" (24 miles)

This is our first stay here. The park is very close to I-80 but the traffic noise was negligible. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our site was fairly level and big enough to allow us to remain hitched. It was easy to get into and out of. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Our daily rate for a "premium" site of $33 was for a week stay, however that does not include the taxes of $38./week, which made the daily rate $38. There is nothing they can do about the high city taxes, however their rates are not reasonable. There is a Good Sam discount, however it only applies to the daily rate, which runs about $45 with taxes. Clearly the old adage "whatever the market will bear" applies here. Since this is unbelievably the only place with full hookups in Lincoln, they charge accordingly. At best, $25/night would be realistic for this place. Even though this has nice older trees, it is located close to the interstate and traffic noise may be a problem for some. They take advantage of every inch of space and when the place is full in the summer, it is cram packed. It has a very commercial feel, with close spaces. The sites are rock and even the premium sites are very basic. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean, but that doesn't make up for the high cost for what you get. Unfortunately, when you want or need to stay in Lincoln there is no other choice. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is easy to find off the highway. The staff is friendly at the office and you can receive mail or send a fax. The sites are semi level in row "D" and are gravel. We found nothing wrong with the larger sized gravel rock used on the sites. There is a small patch of grass in between the sites and old trees are in various parts in the park. The larger rigs are in or near row "D" and seem to have the same elements. Cable, Wi-Fi, satellite and cell phone work very well. The freeway is noisy in the daytime , but the park is quiet at night. The grounds are kept up very nicely and we would stay here again. They have a deluxe patio site that comes with a swing and grille. This will give you a wider site and the flowers are just now blooming. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

We reserved an Ultra Patio site because we had a small unofficial family reunion while we were there. The site was perfect. The help is more than willing to make any part of your stay a pleasant one. If you are in Lincoln, Nebraska and need a place to stay stop here. You will not regret it. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Pretty park with hills, large trees and large fenced dog park that dogs loved. Long gravel pull thrus. Water was still on in early November. Easy access. Wonderful that campground provides alternate address for some gps on their website. Ours was one that recognized the alternate address. Warm, clean restrooms with hot showers. Good cable TV, wifi, electric. Good water pressure. Had an indoor hot tub which looked inviting but didn't have time to try. Security light in front of site was either burned out or turned off. Base rate was $36 with a 20% off season discount but outlandish hotel/motel/lodging/sales tax increased it to $44 We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty park, in fact the only RV park in Lincoln. So, they can charge whatever they want! The place is not a dump. Get a site towards the back, you'll enjoy yourself more than the sites next to the office. Lovely shade trees, all campers kept up nice, friendly service. We stayed during the off season, so although the pool is closed, there is a small indoor hot tub they don't even tell you about at check-in. That was the highlight for us. Just a few minutes drive from downtown Lincoln. (Don't miss the capital tour.) The wi-fi is excellent; many antennas throughout the park, as well as cable tv. Overall, a comfortable stop, so we will be back. You can even order a crappy frozen pizza from the office for $10 and they'll deliver it to your site. Beware, during the college football games the price goes UP. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

This campground is overpriced. Our rate reflects taxes and Good Sam Discount. Most sites are unlevel and spread with rock. Grass is sparse. Some sites are shady, some are in sun. Picnic tables and fire pits at each site. All hookups worked as expected. It would be a good $30 camping experience, but a terrible $47 one. We wouldn't return. This is a nice park. The sites are level despite being located on a very steep hill! The interior roads and the sites are mostly large gravel rocks. They are hard to drive on and very hard to walk on. The leveled sites on the rocks are fine, once you get there. It is a fairly quiet park even though it's located between 2 freeways. The staff was very friendly and even accepted a package for us at the office. It is located 3 miles from downtown and is very handy for all activities. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

The rate is the full cost, with taxes, and a Good Sam discount. It's a bit costly considering our site was near the office where the spaces are gravel and narrow. They are more spacious with grass towards the back but they are also closer to I-80. We were far enough away that we heard no road noise. They have a great Wi-Fi process where you login for two free hours at a time to allow for e-mail and normal web browsing. This prevents people from using it for high usage applications like watching online movies, playing online games, etc. It is a great policy and other campgrounds should do the same. Cable TV worked well and the laundry facilities were excellent. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.
