Nice full hook-up pull-thru with cable tv. Cable required a separate remote returned to the office upon departure. (Drop box for early departures). Passport America rate included an extra $4 for 50 Amp. WiFi was reasonably good. Manager placed rvs on every other site for more spaciousness. Pool and hot tub were closed for the season. Site had a picnic table. No fenced dog park but plenty of space to walk dogs. Excellent value with Passport America. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

We decided on this campground (instead of one that was adjacent to the highway) since it was some distance away and in the middle of a cornfield. They have a heated pool (open Memorial-Labor Day) that looked like it would be nice. The roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Our site was quite long and level. There are smaller trees and grass between sites, but not much else in the way of landscaping. Our Dish satellite & Verizon Mifi worked fine. They offer free cable which also worked fine, but their free Wifi was real slow. We heard some highway noise (.6 miles away) & there were occasional train whistles, but nothing that ear plugs didn't take care of. Other reviews mention noise from Fed-Ex that is next door. We only noticed a little noise in the mornings if you're on row 12-23 or 24-36 (on the far side of the park). Any closer than that any it may be louder. We'll stay here again. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp hosts were very nice. Lovely treed property, surrounded by a corn field. Good location, easy on and off Interstate. Laundry was small, but very clean and inexpensive. Would certainly stay here again. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Country View Campground is very convenient to I-80 and the town of Ogallala. The interior roads are gravel and wide enough for easy navigation. Our site was very long and easily held our 45' DP and Toad. The utilities worked well but the WiFi was limited. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return when in this area again. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week, and very much enjoyed everything about this park! The hosts were personable and very willing to help. Much thought went into them assigning our site, we got a very special site with generous afternoon shade because we were staying the week. Sites were fairly level, fine gravel surface with grass on either side. We were personally led to our site by one of the hosts on his golf cart. This was a popular site for big rigs as the pull throughs were very long and plenty of room between. The only reason I didn't rate this park a 10 is that there was a Fed Ex truck site right next to the park where trucks came and went all night and day, but they weren't extremely loud and I didn't hear them at night, it just ruined the country atmosphere a bit. The park is only a half mile off the interstate so easy off and on, and WalMart is only about 2 miles away! We were surrounded on 2 sides by miles of corn fields! The laundry had fairly new machines and only cost $1 to wash and $1.50 to dry, the dryers ran almost an hour! We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ogallala has Nebraska's largest lake which is a reservoir. The dam produces much of Nebraska's electricity and is gorgeous with fine white sand beaches. Boot Hill is an old pioneer cemetery from Ogallala's wilder days. Also the petrified wood museum is not to be missed! We toured "The Mansion on the Hill" built in 1887 and still mostly original. Ogallala claims to be Nebraska's Cowboy Capital.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here in late May and again June 22, 2017. In May there had been quite a bit of rain and the roads were pretty muddy. In June there was new gravel and it was dry. Sites are long with well placed utilities and interior roads are easy to navigate. WiFi is ok even with a lot of users, and cable TV is good. Staff is nice and efficient and we were escorted to our site. The campground is convenient to Walmart and a number of restaurants including a nice Italian restaurant that delivers. The pool was closed in May but open in June. The park is dog friendly, but doesn't have a dog run. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Longest pull through sites. Not overly wide, but 2 of me could fit end to end on pull through. Wide roads for easy access. Verry nice people & great care is taken to keep campground clean & running smoothly. Cable TV. You're TV must be on channel 3 & use campground remote to change cable channels. We loved this quaint little campground. The office/antique store is adorable. The people working there are awesome. Wide, long level spaces with grass in between. Country, quaint feel. The closer you get to the office, the less road noise you hear, which really isn't much at all. Having been to 83 RV parks, in our coach 8 months out of the year, this was one of my favorites!! We camped here in a 40' Class A Motorhome with tow. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Cannot comment on the restrooms or showers, as they have been just renovated and owner has not arrived to approve the work. Laundry room is clean looking. Dirt/gravel road, corn fields on 3 sides of campground. Little pine trees between sites, no real shade. Pool closed for season. Very nice owners, the host actually walked to our site to show us where it was located! WIFI GREAT!!!!!! So happy to have great WIFI = Best after being in many states and camp grounds!!! Cable is free = its good too! We are here off season, so its not geared up yet. The list of rules is 1-9 most begin or end with "please". Nice place, pool, playground, and wagon wheel themed. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Off season meant fee perks. However bathroom facilities were no available due to remodeling, disappointing but understandable. The town of Ogallala does have some nice dining establishments, many fast food options, gas stations, and a WalMart and Safeway.

Looking at some of the other reviews, I had to wonder if we stayed in the same park. The two ladies at the desk were mostly indifferent. One escorted us to our site... when I pointed out the leaking water connection, she shrugged her shoulders. The "grassy" area between sites is mostly weeds; on the bright side, they were trimmed. The cable TV required their remote - they didn't tell us you had to point it at the utility box to get it to work. The sites are long and reasonably level - not much gravel left, so mostly dirt; fortunately it did not rain the night we were there. The sites are close together; another motorhome pulled in next to us - the guy put out a chair to watch his exterior TV and was right under our dinette window... smoking a nasty smelling cigar. Now, I understand that a less than considerate neighbor isn't the campground's fault - just pointing out that the sites are close together. It was OK for an overnight, but not worth the price. If you happen to be here during the time they take Passport America (we were one day early), it would be more acceptable. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night, and from the first phone conversation we felt the campground really cared about people who stay there. We had a nice level site, picnic table, and lot of room for our towed vehicle. They have a cable system that requires you to put your TV on channel 3 and use their remote to change stations. Signal and quality really good pointing the remote at the box outside was a bit challenging, but worked. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.
