Great place to pull in. Close to freeway but quiet. Large spaces. Grassy areas for pets. Extremely friendly staff. We camped at Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night, and from the first phone conversation we felt the campground really cared about people who stay there. We had a nice level site, picnic table, and lot of room for our towed vehicle. They have a cable system that requires you to put your TV on channel 3 and use their remote to change stations. Signal and quality really good pointing the remote at the box outside was a bit challenging, but worked. We camped at Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Absolutely loved this RV park! Lovely country setting, nice and quiet. Family run park who cares about its customers. The staff are so very, very nice! Utilities worked well. Sat friendly. Pull thru site was long with grass between sites. Nice quiet smallish RV park with a big heart! We camped at Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Nicely laid out park, level gravel sites, mostly all drive thru's. Good power, great hospitality. When you exit I-80 and head south, DO NOT take the first left turn, that is a service road. Take a left at the 2nd stop light onto County Road East 80. I would like to return and stay longer at this campground, as we found the drive north through the sand hills a most interesting geological phenomena, with very few towns and villages. We camped at Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This site is right off I-80. Good signage on freeway and once heading south. Go south past a couple of stoplights and there is a big sign pointing you into the park. Ogalalla has some nice restaurants and services very close by.

Sites are very mostly all pull-through, narrow though long, level. Interior roads are wide, gravel and easy to navigate. Sites have a strip of mostly green weeds (about 8' wide), and are prohibited to put a breathable RV map out over the weeds. Pool was refreshing and clean, which the only amenity for this park has to offer.

Restroom facility is very old, concrete floors, no tile, cinderblock walls, dank/smelly. Only one toilet on the mens side (does have urinals). WiFi was pretty much non-existent. Check-in service while efficient, wasn't over friendly. We stayed here two nights, while most others are using this as a stopover and quickly move out the next morning. We camped at Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here over July 4th and also once earlier in June. Very nice campground with very long pullthrus. No reason to unhook even for the longest combinations I would think. They have a pool, library, washer and dryers, kids playground. They escort you to your site which is helpful. There were a number of sites that had shade from trees. It was a very quite park well away from road noises. The staff was very good and around if you needed anything.

The internet was pretty average and we used hotspots for better service. We camped at Country View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Petrified Wood and Art Gallery was interesting. Front Street for tourist stuff. Lake McConaughy, go down by the outlet if they are letting water out it is impressive. Boot Hill Cemetary was a nice historical stop. The Mansion on the Hill looked good also.

We had a full hook-up spot. The campsites are pull through and are of sufficient length to permit easy parking for tow vehicle or dingy. Staff is extremely friendly, campground is well groomed. It tends to fill up late in the afternoon, so I would advise making a reservation. Highway noise is minimal. Campground is close to a Wal Mart store, and is easy access to the downtown area. Plenty of places to go and to see including parts of the Oregon Trail. We camped at Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice, convenient park, located near (but not too near!) I-80, and not too far from Lake McC. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the pool is clean and refreshing on a hot summer day. I took points off for poor wi-fi. We will stop here again when passing through. This park is just off I-80 to the south about 1/4 mile. Very easy to find but for my rig with a tow was very tight to navigate in the park. Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. My site was just long enough to accommodate my rig with tow. Site is gravel and no concrete patio. Good place for an overnight stop and would stay here again. We camped at Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Contrary to a previous review, we observed this park to be clean and well layed out. There are a few long term residents, but they are located out of the way on the southeastern side of the park. The front of the park are all VERY long pull throughs, some of the longest we've seen in our travels. We would say that these pull throughs would benefit from a few inches build up of course gravel, but they were not overly wet during our stay even though it had rained all day prior to our arrival. No over the air TV, but campground provides cable TV via Charter Cable and provides each site with a remote to control the TV channels, with you setting your TV to channel 3. Just don't forget to return the remote upon your departure. WiFi was good throughout stay even though park was full, see it can be done. We camped at Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Our visit was in early May to attend a high school graduation. Campground is located near the I-80 Ogallala exchange. Highway noise was unnoticeable. Walmart and Shopko stores are close by for easy shopping, as well as most major gas stations. Ogallala also offers a Safeway grocery. We have family in the area, so choose this campground over others because of closeness to family and the easy access. Hosts are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. We always have a positive experience. We camped at Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We picked this camp ground because of reviews. However the only good thing we can say is, it was quite. The bath and showers are substandard!! The area around the office which includes a run down motor home detracts from the park. Can not recommend this park. Do not understand the good reviews of this park since its present conditions have been this way for some time. We camped at Country View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great RV park, located about 1/2 mile off I-80 at exit 177. We were going to stay one night, but it was such a nice experience that we decided to stay three nights. The sites are long and level with gravel/dirt and shade trees. The staff is very helpful and attentive to the needs of the guests. We would stay ay this peaceful property again.
