This is not a 5 star resort with an olympic pool. What it is is a very neat, clean rv park with really nice people. There are good restaurants nearby, and the Petrified Wood museum is great. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Yes, it's close to the interstate so there is some noise but that doesn't bother us. Cute little park with very clean bathrooms and nice showers. Excellent laundry facilities ($1.50 each for wash and dry). We really loved the guest lounge as the weather was cold and rainy while here. To correct a previous review, you must pay cash if you only stay one night. For multiple night stays they accept credit cards. We were offered a FHU pull through site but opted for a back in as we don't need sewer. Would stay here again. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

The amenities that were available worked well but there was no cable tv. The road changes names after getting off of the freeway o it can be a little confusing. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the nicest RV Parks we have encountered in a long time. Owners are so nice. They escort you to your lot. Everything about the campground is super clean and nice. We hated to leave because we not only enjoyed the campground but the area. I give Sleepy Sunflower and excellent rating - please try it. I know you will love it. Front Street was a nice thing to see. We went to the Crystal Palace Saloon on a Saturday Evening for Dinner and a show. It was spectacular! Petrified Wood Gallery is a must, and much more.

Simple basic overnight park that would work for extended stays. Good wifi, utilities, restroom/showers. Rec room with exercise stuff and book exchange and TV. Convenient to I-80 (some noise). We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

While it didn't really live up our expectations based on other reviews, it was OK.Maybe the ownership is new, because they parked a 45-foot Entegra right next to us, so close we couldn't even open our patio awning more than a few feet. . There were plenty of open sites, so this made no sense at all. This is no cable TV, and OTA is limited to 6 channels, most of which are PBS types. However, the WI-FI bandwidth was sufficient to support streaming, so we kept ourselves entertained at night with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a dog park of sorts, measuring about 12 x 50, so it's more of a dog WALK. I-80 and access to diesel fuel were both handy, so this is a convenient little park. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Motorhome.

Just an overnight stop. Very glad they offer a Passport America discount. I would not have been thrilled to pay $30+. If you do the PA discount, you have to pay in cash. Person in office was polite and check-in was quick. The host parked all of the RVs there for the night next to each other. Most of the middle row of sites was empty. I think the middle row isn't wide enough for bigger rigs so that could be why. Or we all just paid the Passport America price so they put us all together. Sites are very close, and they do the alternating thing so the few feet of "outdoor space" you have you share with your neighbor. If our neighbor had slides on his rig too, our slides might have been 2-3 feet apart. We leveled easily. No picnic table, no fire pit. Site was dirt/gravel. The hookups were in a convenient location in the site and were in a landscaped area with gravel and a log frame. Hookups worked as desired. We could have fit our 40' fifth wheel and 22' truck on the site if we did not disconnect. Staff graciously allowed us to park our truck and additional vehicle on the site next to us for no extra charge; that was very nice. No grass around the sites but there was some on the sides of the campground. Fields surrounding the campground except on the north side where the interstate is. We could hear the interstate noise all the time and inside our RV. Trains also in the morning, and the noise from the travel center next door also got louder in the morning. This is not a quiet campground because of what's around it. WiFi worked well for surfing websites. Had a few bars of AT&T 3 or 4G. Appears that the owners live on-site which is nice security. Looks like they care about their business; had cute decor and they were out and about working on things. Be cautious when leaving the campground. The grass/bushes along the road are too tall and you can't see if there's any oncoming traffic to the left without pulling into the road. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very well maintained and managed. Attendant takes you to your site and assists in parking you. Sites are close but everything is top notch. It is near the interstate for convenience. Highway noise was not a problem for me. It does quiet down later. This park is located near a Walmart, restaurants and service stations. A good stop for overnight or longer if visiting the area. Gave me the military discount for "former" military. Sites were large enough, slightly bigger than some KOA's I've been in. Freeway noise was not an issue. Kids had great fun with the karaoke machine in the game room. Even had exercise equipment! Nice and easy on and off from the freeway, I would stay here again. Very nice park...clean and level sites...although PA states the rate is only good for 3 nights they made an exception so we could sit out a storm. Laundry facility was clean and all machines worked well. Most all sites are pull thru and can accommodate 60ft. Will definitely stay again if in the area. This was a nice spot to spend a couple nights on our way to our destination north of Denver. The owners were very friendly, and the park was neat and tidy. Restrooms and showers were clean. We weren't bothered by the freeway or train noise, we've stayed in places with BOTH of those - and a lot closer than they were here. The spaces are fairly close, but it's really an overnight RV park with convenient access to and from the freeway, so it's much nicer than many others we've stayed at with the same function. We don't expect parks near the freeway to be like state parks or RV resorts in more remote locations, and it's not the place you'd take your family "camping", so for us it was perfect. They have put up a couple of teepees too, and those were cute and looked like a comfortable tent alternative. We'd definitely stay here again when traveling through on I-80. As many people have mentioned before, the owners of this rv park are extremely friendly and helpful. We have stayed here several times and they always made us feel welcome. Sites are level gravel. Spacious enough to open slides on both sides. Water pressure was good. Bathrooms clean. Rv park is close to the interstate but the road noise never bothered us. Owners are always out and about making the park looks nice and secure. There is a little playground for the kids. Small dog park on the north end. Typical Nebraska rv park. All gravel sites, during busy season the sites would be very close. At the time we visited they were placing campers in every other site which was very nice. All of the owners were very friendly and accommodating. They are in the process of planting a lot of sunflowers. We will definitely stay here again.
