We could not find an RV spot anywhere in town. We came in for the College World Series. We hesitated to even call Riverwest Park because of some bad reviews on this website. The owner got us in and he, his staff and park are absolutely wonderful. It is not a modern RV park. But it is beautiful. Like camping on a golf course. They had entertainment and the crowd was a young fun crowd. Older folks might not like this park. But I wish there where more Campgrounds like this around. They have outdoor movies, stages for music, Bachelorette parties going on everywhere and tubing and rafting down the river. My wife and I are in our 50's and this atmosphere made us feel young again. Riverwest please don't change a thing at this park. It is an original gem in the Midwest. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Motorhome.

Make sure you reserve in advance. They are sold out most of the time. We were very lucky to get into this popular place for locals.

This place is a dump. I hardly consider this place an RV Park of any kind. Junk is stored/stacked up throughout the grounds. The RV Spots are a complete afterthought, no dumps locations at all. No sewer dumps, $10 fee and they will use a portable trailer to remove black water. You are instructed to dump grey water on the ground! Never in my years of camping have I seen something this low class. At best, this place is for tent camping, RV'ers beware and don't waste your time here. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was rude. The park was loud with no apparent noise limit. Lots of intoxicated people. The sites had way too many trees making it feel crowded. The atmosphere was not family friendly. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of drama with the employees fighting getting drunk and yelling right in front of us and everyone else. We will never step foot in this campground again. If you like smelling and watching kids smoke pot, drink alcohol this place is for you. The place is set up for tents mostly and about 10 spots for RVs; there is no WiFi, shower or bathrooms, just portables. The campground was at least kept clean. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is primarily a weekend, tent camping location. On many weekends they have entertainment. The weekend we were there it was very quiet. We were one of six RVs. 30 amp power was fine, and shared water supply worked. A hole in the ground provided dump for grey water. To dump black water you had to arrange a removal service which required $10 fee. The owner, a very nice guy, is still learning about RVers. If you are looking for services, facilities, WiFi, etc this is not for you. We choose it because of location, and it was fine for three nights. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here because only park with availability that night. Not suited to big rigs really. And not easy to get to. We had to go on to another city because we had difficulty getting to this park and then didn't find it could really accommodate our motorhome and tow car. Several tenters were here so maybe more suited to the "camping" crowd. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

RiverWest is an event/entertainment campground (music, movies) for tenting that recently added RV sites. It is a beautiful location on the Elkhorn River trees and grass. For RVers it is still under development. Toilet facilities are porta-potties, and the shower is an outdoor screened area with a tankless propane heater, which we really enjoyed. There are no sewer hookups, but they have a sewer service. Water hookups is by multiple hoses. They show movies every weekend, and they blared on until 1 A.M. The music area is at the other end, and we did not hear it. The biggest problem was power. After we began to have low voltage problems, we discovered that we were hooked via five daisy-chained 30A extension cords to a breaker box 150' away. Our voltage monitor sounded several times (set at 102V), and we had to turn off the A/C to run the microwave. Most of the sites had small hookup boxes (not standard RV boxes with breakers), but it was unclear what size wire served them. We hooked to one for several days, and the voltage was higher and acceptable but still fluctuated when A/C and microwave were on, which leads me to believe that the wiring was too small. I talked to the owner about the voltage, but he did not seem to understand the risk to RV systems. In fact, he wanted to move us back to the extension cord to accommodate new campers in the other slot. Ticks were also a problem. We are still finding them in our rig at the next campground. I really wanted to like RiverWest (Omaha desperately needs another campground), but it is not ready for prime time even if you do not mind not having sewer. I suspect that the owner does not understand the needs of RVs. The owner says he plans to build a new RV area, but he does not plan to install sewer. Too bad. This could be a wonderful and much needed new campground, but as it stands you have to like primitive, noise and be willing to endure low voltage. I really hope that changes in the future. We camped at RiverWest Park in a Motorhome.
