$26 fee includes $6/ day entrance fee into the park. Nice spacious campsites, 30 amp service, multiple water connections but they are not intended to be used exclusively by one camper. No Wi-Fi and marginal Verizon wireless connection. Park roads are confusing, be sure to get a map. Playground and boat ramp inside the park. No boat rental. Dump site on the way out of my campsite. Nice 9 hole gold course at Park entrance. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The navigation of this park was kind of difficult. The visitor's center wasn't exactly easy to find (although it is very close to the front, perhaps we were tired after a long drive), it's the opposite direction at the fork from the campground signs. Navigating the campground is pretty straight forward, the signs are labeled to point to "campground" and "electric sites" but the actual name of the campground isn't as easy to see. There are a lot of turns in the park to get to the camping areas. There is a lot of nature trails and hiking that can be done on the park. We hiked and saw the Old Oak Tree, and we went to the lookout where you can view Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. If you're not up for hiking, you can drive to these points as well. Our site was pretty good. The "yard" was almost right next to some wooded area, so we didn't have a lot of room, but the pad was large enough for the picnic table to sit beside our camper. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for a quiet, cozy out of the way place to watch the world go by, then you'll want to drop by Ponca! Located right on the river, this is one of the best places I've ever camped. Besides having the most amazing tree cover, the main lodge is outstanding and they offer something fun and educational almost every weekend. Want to get out an explore? There are great restaurants less than 10 and 20 minutes away and great shopping is just up the road. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Tent Trailer.

We enjoyed this park. It was easy to get in and out of. We camped in front of the Missouri River, where we could see fish jumping. There were only two other motor homes, which surprised us. We had a river front view and in the back of us a Forrest view. Great surroundings and relaxing. Would come again if we are in the area. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Motorhome.

Lovely tree shaded grounds up the hill in the upper park campsites. Each area had a playground. Lots of soft grass surrounding sites. Spacious and quiet park. Not very full in the Oak Bluffs sites the night we stayed. We had a pull through site with power and spigot very close by. Restroom and showers a three minute walk away. No views of the river from campground. Bring bug repellant. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Visitors Center is combined with a state outdoor and environmental education center that has informative and interactive displays good for all ages, hiking trails, and an overlook of the Missouri River. Bicycle paths. Have your out of state park permit with you if you printed it out at home or pay again if it's not in your possession.

$20 nightly fee includes day use fee.....Water was still turned off in park so I stayed in the riverfront section of the park (pit toilet), basically a large field (riverbank) with picnic tables and fire rings. (the $20 charge for an overnight without flush toilets/showers reflects my feelings about the "value") Very quiet location, no one anywhere in the camp. Sites were not clearly marked, I think each had electricity. Multiple water spigots in campground (didn't use, they may have still been turned off too?). If I'm ever back in the neighborhood in a warmer month, I may consider the other campground at this park....... We camped at Ponca State Park in a Travel Trailer.

What a treasure! Beautiful, well maintained electric/water only sites in a forested area……in Nebraska!? This park was so enjoyable to stay in! Make sure to stop in the visitor's center. Kids will love the museum displays that talk about the natural area & history. Convenient dump station on the way out. Lots of hiking and outdoors activities including programs for kids. Whether you're just passing through or want to stay a while, Keep up the good work, NE! We camped at Ponca State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This Nebraska State Park is located next to the Missouri River near Ponca, Nebraska. All entries to the park require a $4 daily permit or a $20 annual permit. There are three camping areas and most (92) have electrical including the natural area right next to the river. This area also has a pit toilet. Turkey Ridge campground is first come, first serve and Oak Bluff campground accepts reservations and have newly installed water spigots and a toilet/shower facility. There is a dump station near this campground. There are also cabins available. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Tent Trailer.

You have to pay an entry of $4 per vehicle per night to get into the park then $17 per night for the camping. We had to pay $8 to get both vehicles into the park then one night's camping. We only stayed one night but we definitely would come back again because there is a whole lot to do there. The park has beautiful trees and paved pads for most rigs. You must fill your water tank at one of the faucets nearby. They were adding more water faucets to the park and plan to have a faucet for each two sites I believe. There is a dump station that looked OK. We got a peek of the DirecTV sattellite through the trees so everyone was happy. Has a wonderful interpretive center that we didn't have time to get to. We camped at Ponca State Park in a Motorhome.
