The rate reflects $18 camping fee for a 30 amp electric site plus $5 for the daily use fee. This is a pretty amazing state park. There are all types of camping available, including backpacking. There are hiking trails. There are exhibits. Not too far away in Brownville, there is a great biking trail. You will not lack for things to do. The roads in the park are paved, but the paved roads in the camping area are in very bad shape. The camping spaces are gravel/dirt and many are very unlevel. It is heavily treed, but we did get a site with satellite reception. In late October we expected to be almost alone at this campground, but that did not turn out to be the case. For three weekends they have special Halloween weekends. It was pretty amazing; there were many, many RV’s in spaces or permits on posts but very few people. The park management lets people rent spaces even though they are not going to camp. It doesn’t seem fair but it probably brings in lots of money for the park. We were presented with about 10 spaces, most of which did not work because they were so unlevel. However, we did find a nice site. Unlike an earlier reviewer, our 30 amp service was good. We have a monitor for low power and it never indicated a problem. I do not think that big rigs would fare well in this park with the short, unlevel spaces and sharp turns. We had a very, very weak signal on our Verizon phone, enough to get text but not voice and no data. We would certainly stay at this park again, but probably not during Halloween time. We camped at Indian Cave State Park in a Motorhome.

A group of five units stayed at Indian Cave SP for three nights and found it quite pleasant. There is lots of shade and the grounds are very well kept. You need to chose your site carefully as many are not level and the size of the rig is important. There are 22 50 amp sites w/3 that can be reserved. A previous poster had problems with the power but we did not--a steady 120--and it was hot and humid. The park is worth exploring and the Cave is interesting. The interior roads are pretty good except in the campgrounds where washouts and erosion has created a real mess. The showers were clean and flush toilets are in the building. There are a lot of pit toilets throughout the park and are ok as pit toilets go, but they could use some lime. All in all, we had a good experience here and would return if they fix the roads. We camped at Indian Cave State Park in a Motorhome.

What a WRETCHED place to go! Their website doesn't really give you a clear idea of what to expect. We reserved 2 sites to spend Memorial Day Weekend with family. The $25 rate shown is $18 for the site $5 a day entry fee and $2.30 for the reservation. While it's true they have 50 amp sites, I think their are only 6 and only 3 of those are reserve-able. The sites are horribly out of level. We spent over an hour in the first site using every board we had and couldn't get level. After another 45 minutes in the other site using every board we had, we were close to level. As we found out later, apparently not close enough. Things should have settled down from here, right? Not likely. The power was very low (99 to 100 volts) at the post. It was completely off for a while Saturday afternoon. An attendant called someone who spoke very briefly we me about the low voltage. He was indifferent to my problem and left. The TRC surge/voltage protector won't engage at that low a voltage, so I couldn't get power to the coach. It was HOT both Saturday and Sunday. By Sunday all of us were fed up with the heat and power issues. The fridge was up to almost 50 degrees because we couldn't get level enough. The constant power issues finally broke the TRC surge/voltage protector and there was no way I would connect my coach to their extremely poor power. It's so sad that the state would subject so many RV's to low power. How much damage have they caused? We all left! SAVE YOUR A/C's and ELECTRONICS! STAY AWAY FROM INDIAN CAVE! We will never go here again. We camped at Indian Cave State Park in a Motorhome.

Be aware that the State of NE requires a $20 per year camping sticker to stay at their parks, which can be bought on site. The road Hwy 67 from the south into the park is a gravel road for 8 miles. It was in good shape. The park is beautiful, with many hiking trails (fairly steep on the easiest of them). The cave area was closed due to flooding when we were there. Many miles of paved roads for biking or walking. Many spectacular overlooks of the MO River. We spent 3 nights there and would definitely go again. We camped at Indian Cave State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice state park campground. Although they don't have full hookups they do
have a convenient dump station just prior to entering the campground. We camped at Indian Cave State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
