Easy access off hwy 80 and plenty of sites to choose from however office was closed and there were no registration papers to fill out. This is Cabellas headquarters. We visited the store and found we could register and pay there. Plenty of food options close by. Drove into Sidney and found a Safeway grocery store. Laundry room was a mess and there were quite a few full time residents. Also water had been shut off for the season. Other than that it was quiet and a nice place to stay for the night. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart across the street is convenient. Dinner at the pub and grill by the hotels served a delicious meal.

We stayed free but this review requires at least $1 so we added that. By signing up as a Cabela's Club member at the store we were given the night gratis. Gravel roads more amenable to smaller campers, smaller coaches than our 40+ft coach + towed truck. Gravel sites. Walked up to the store to pay as the office was closed, it is all self service this off season time of year. Stayed only overnight while traveling; it was easy off and back onto I 80. No service at the office and no wifi. Water and 50 amp hookups. Could not beat the free night, but the posted prices seemed high for no personal service, appx. $48 as I recall. Many were staying in the free lot of the store. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are nearby fast foods and gas stations, but not convenient to walk to along the busy highway.

The office number that we were trying to call and change our reservation does not work anymore. The store number is not what 411 tells you it is. The service was terrible at best. The person in charge at the store had a careless attitude. The internet did not work and had not worked for a very long time and they do not seem to care. There is plenty of room to walk you dogs....but no one picks up their own dog crap, it is all over the place. Be careful where you walk. The sprinkler have been run over and there are deep holes where the should be. Someone is going to break an ankle. The cable does not work well, all snowy. We stayed for 2 nights in a motorhome. Close to the interstate with not a lot of noise. Good for an overnight only. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

It took me five days to make reservations at this RV Park. If you google RV Parks at Sidney NE, and call the number listed, a recording will tell you it has been disconnected. If you call the second number given, you will be prompted to stay on the line to talk with the operator. A recording will tell you the operator is not available. I finally got to speak with a real person on the fifth day of attempts. One person told me there are no reservation, the voice recording on my phone, told me we had Site # 1 reserved. When we arrived at the RV Park, our reserved site was occupied. The park begins to fill up from Interstate traffic about 3 PM. If you intend on staying at this park, you had better plan on arriving NLT 4 PM to ensure you get a camping space. There is no management at this park, and it doesn't appear that anyone at Cabelas cares. The restrooms are not secured. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are three flea markets in Sidney. Museums if you can catch them open. We've been there four times, and have yet to catch the Commander's House open.

We did not have a reservation, but had no problem getting a site. Office was closed, but a sign was posted on door that showed which sites were available. We chose one that was full hook-up and pull thru. It was very pleasant, gravel with lots of trees and grass. Nice area to walk the dog, although sprinklers went on it got very messy. Located right next door to the Cabela's store, the traffic didn't seem to present a problem. We would return if in the area. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Located adjacent to the Cabelas flagship store, the RV park has gravel roads and sites. The sites are fairly close together, and a bit short. A 43 ft RV towing would have a hard time getting into a site while leaving the access road open. Electric, W/S were good. The cable seems to not work anywhere in the campground. No one ever in the office, but we did make a reservation thru the store switchboard. Just a few small shade trees. Picnic tables looked pretty new. Lots of places to walk the dog. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Cabelas store is next door and open 7 days a week. There is a Pizza Hut and a DQ across the (busy) road. Walmart and a truck stop are on US 385 at the turn into Cabela Land. The Buffalo Point (Cabelas) restaurant is pricy, service is not very good, and food was so-so. Eat at Perkins next door instead.

I rated the park low for the service we received, not the park. I called at 11:30am to make a reservation, based on the 'loosey-goosey' review. The reservation girl told me (and I found out several others) that her manager told her she couldn't accept reservations anymore. At that time there were 5 full hookups available and 7 electric only. Being the RVers that we are, we pushed to get in by 1:30 expecting that we'd be at the front of the pack. When we got in we were told that all full hookups were taken, 'reserved'. Obviously we pitched a bit of a fit, but the girl looked at us like her hands were tied. They did have 7 50amp electric only, which we took. My husband got in the phone and called the store manager, who said all full hookups were reservable just nit the last row of electric only. Needless to say we were pretty frustrated watching RVs come in the next couple of hours and go to the full hookups. With that being said, the full hookups sites looked fine for a 40' with slides and room for a tow vehicle. Power worked well, ran 3 ACs. The back row we were in was not level, everyone was on some kind of jack/block. Park was easy in/out, no road noise even with interstate within eye sight. I definitely would not plan to stay here without a reservation. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

RV Park Reviews has the park telephone number incorrect, it's

308-255-8443. Cabelas needs to think of their park in the same manner as their stores. We drove a lot of hours/miles thinking we were going to do some shopping when we got there, but were so frustrated that we couldn't spend money with that brand.

This is an excellent park. Sites are large and maneuvering in and out very easy due to wide roads. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Great areas to walk my pups. A small restaurant within walking distance to the Cabelas or a transport is available. Several nice restaurants in the area. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We reserved 1 night and when we arrived about noon, there was a list on the door showing the CG was full and no one was present in the office. I parked in the site I was told was reserved for me because it was empty. It is a nicely laid out campground, very convenient to I-80. We decided to stay an extra day and I filled out the registration form that is in a box on the office door and paid for the two days. The next day the office was open briefly in the morning but closed after a short time and another list was posted showing that the site I was in was available for drive-ups that day. I tried to call the reservation number but no answer. I finally went to the Cabella store and spoke to someone who said the office should be open and don't worry about the list. The Wi-Fi was not working so I inquired and was told it had been broke for some time but it had been reported to the cable company. I really like this campground, but it seems to be run a little loosey, goosey and is a little pricey. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fast food and some restaurants very close and a Walmart. There is a self service RV wash right across the street. My Sprint MiFi was not able to receive even a hint of a signal and park Wi-Fi did not work. The park seems to fill up about 4 or 5 p.m., so if you don't have reservation, arrive early. Even with a reservation, I'd arrive early.

There's nothing special about Cabela's RV Park except it is easy to get to, lots of food choices within walking distance, it is clean, has WIFI and cable, and level sites. The check in was easy and since we had a reservation we didn't have a problem with getting a site. I would recommend this place for a quick overnight to anyone. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Wal-Mart across the major street for any last minute purchases.

This park is fine if you just want to pull in, sleep and leave. It is clean, sites are well spaced, and it is convenient to the highway. Although there was a wi-if signal, we had no internet access, and there were no attendants on duty. There is no shade to be found and highway noise can be a problem. Showers are quite small with no shelving to keep clothes dry. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This is your only good option for miles around.

We've stayed here before in the spring and it's always the same. No attendant and no forms to complete in the self-service kiosk. We opted for the electric-only rate, made up our own form, and deposited the form and a check in the lock box. We picked a site with full hookups and used electric only due to the short length of the available electric-only sites, but with no one present, it's likely some folks didn't pay at all which is Cabela's fault. Otherwise the park is nice - level gravel sites and a grassy area with table and small tree. Quiet at night, with easy access to the Interstate and local restaurants. No WiFi or cable, but satellite TV and Verizon cell/data worked well. A popular place, the park was 3/4 full by sunset. Good for an overnight stay but there's not much here otherwise. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is the corporate headquarters for Cabela's, but don't expect a mega-store or bargains. There's a super Wal-Mart down the road, and plenty of restaurant choices nearby.
