1 Park near South Sioux City, Nebraska
Aug 2015 - $30.00
This is a city owned/maintained park right on the Missouri River. Some of the spaces face the river and others are away from the river.
Ours was a Pull-Thru site that was partially shaded. Utilities however were not placed close to each other; sewer was at one end and electrical/water was about 15' away. Our particular site had a leaky water faucet.
Grass has been mowed, gravel lots, metal picnic tables. Many permanent residents in several different types of units.
Noise is a problem ranging from construction noise on the nearby I-29 highway to the freight train horn at 9:15 pm.
We were using this park as an "overnight" stop. We would NOT stay here again. - Maddog11

This is a fairly busy park with a number of long term RVs that are well kept. My pull through site had power/water near the front and sewer near the back. I was just able to stretch the power 34' and the waste water 15' to their max and reach both. Fire ring was full of trash when I arrived late in the day but it was cleaned out the next day. Gravel is uneven and needs refreshed. WIFI was useless as the signal strength was OK, but the speed was very slow when it responded. Lots of train whistles throughout the night. Ok park, but I probably wouldn't stay here again. - alanp41779

Wide level gravel pads. Wi-Fi and cable worked. Many sites are on the river. It's a pleasant and popular campground and is heavily used even during the week and when school is in session. The shower house(s) are older buildings that are clean enough but not great. Wonderful walking trails along the river. Fire pits. I called a week ahead of time to make a reservation. Left a voice mail that wasn't returned until 4 days later. I missed that call and they didn't bother to leave a message, so had to arrive without a reservation and got one of the last spaces available. Signage is a little confusing. The GPS struggled as well. Lots of construction at this time, too. It is such a hassle to get to the park if you don't know the area. I would not have stopped without a reservation had it not been for a business appointment I had in Sioux City. - bluesnugs
