This is a very clean park. You must self register at this park. We stayed in the electric loop. There is water & dump available. I believe all Nebraska Parks charge daily use fee so we bought the annual pass $46 at 1st park because we will be staying a total 24 days in Nebraska and don't worry about daily fees which are $8 for non state residents. Dirt roads and grassy sites that are fairly level, roads were muddy as it was raining when we arrived. There are picnic tables and a fire ring, which again are on the wrong side of camper; there are several parks in Nebraska with table & ring on wrong side. They have flush toilets, but do charge for showers which is very petty on their part. Only 4 campers including host in park, this park is for those who want quiet & solitude. We would stay here again if in the area. We only stayed overnight. - JR and The Boys

This is a pretty location with spacious sites. That's where my compliments end. The restrooms and showers were clean but they do charge for the shower so bring a bunch of quarters with you. At $20 for camping with only electric and water, I feel that's a bit of a rip off. But the main thing that irked me is the $5 "park permit fee" added to the camping fee. There are signs all over the park saying you must have this permit and this IS ENFORCED!! And then it says you need to obtain one at "area concessions". What area? What concessions? What are you talking about? We drove all over the park looking for a "concession" or even a host or ranger to ask. Nothing. The nearest town with "concessions" was 15 miles away! We finally decided to just get the envelope and pay the camping fee and then pay a ranger that might come to collect their rip off fee. And that's when I discovered that you can pay the stupid fee right along with your camp fee and that there's a little tag on the envelope for the permit fee. Thanks for wasting our time, Nebraska state park! I also disagree with the prior reviewer about the sites being level. We tried three before we could even come close and still had to use blocks. Lots of flies too. If I came through this way again (which I probably won't) I would give the city park in the nearby town a try instead. - Pdxjoanne

Beautiful spot near the reservoir. Spaces were level, grassy, nicely spaces and well kept. - momonbass

Nice campground for an overnight stay. Electric sites only - 50 amp. There is water & dump station just outside entrance to RV Park. Bathrooms available in McKinley Park if one is not self-contained. Camping cost: donation. Pros: right off of highway. Cons: some traffic & train noise. Would definitely stay here again & recommend. Gem of a city park. - Tinisu
