Staff unfriendly, sites too close, big gravel surface, no picnic tables, no fire pit, no trees, no swimming pool, just very basic, unfriendly site. Not worth it. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

I am puzzled about some of the critical comments regarding this park. Granted, the management is still learning the ropes, but, for the price, it's fine. Yes, the sites are a bit cramped, but our 38-ft A and Jeep towed fine in the site just fine. While the new gravel hasn't really packed solid yet, we have zero trouble leveling our 36,000 pounds of rig and towed. WI-FI was quite good, and OTA channels were strong, clear, and numerous enough to keep us happy. The location of the pedestal, sewer, and water were way back farther in our site than we would have liked, but shouldn't every experienced RVer have extra hoses and cables for these situations ?? Highway noise ? Buy a $20 white noise/fan machine on Amazon and you'll hear nothing from nearby I-80. As with pretty much EVERY RV park we have stayed during this four-month trip have the same problem: THEY ARE TOO LAZY AND INCONSIDERATE TO PICK UP THEIR DOGS' DROPPINGS. This is not the park's responsibility. Act like an adult. The only problem we have with this park is the lack of signage. We followed our Rand-McNally GPS, which is usually very good, and ended up on a dead-end by the Wal-Mart. The only sign we could see was right at the end of the gravel road leading into the park and one right by the office. So...get off on exit 353. Turn left on to US 81. At the Wal-Mart turn, make a HARD RIGHT onto the frontage road, drive down to the Wendy's, and turn Left. You'll see the campground road right in front of you. When you arrive, there will likely be nobody in the office, so just pick a site to your liking and they'll catch up to you eventually. It's nice park, so don't be discouraged by a bunch of unwarranted griping. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty basic park right off the I-80. We got two discounts for AAA and Good Sam. There are no trees, just gravel pull-throughs. Site was level and had full hookups. The laundry room was clean and reasonably priced. Good spot to stop for the night. WiFi works great in the laundry room. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

YorkKampground is located right off the I-80 freeway behind a Comfort Inn hotel. Be on the lookout for the first right turn after the off ramp signal light. The roads into and through the campground are gravel as well as the RV site. The water and electric are well placed although the space between sites was minimal in the area without sewer hookups. Although located very close to I-80, we found the traffic noise to be tolerable especially when inside the RV. The wifi was not usable even with a booster. We camped at York KAMPground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a utilitarian park, not meant for a "camping experience." Reservation not necessary. Stayed for one week. Rate reflects a 15% discount for "Liking" their Facebook page. When we arrived at 3pm on a Saturday, no staff on property. Called the phone number on the office door, no answer and got voicemail; wasn't even sure it was for campground. 5 minutes later, received a call back. Told to pick a site and pay over the phone or wait till someone came in next day. No staff/owners living on site; no gate...no security or watchful eyes. We did see staff there a few days for a few hours at a time. Beware with your pets - weed-killer sprayed on areas between sites. For being a new park, I'm surprised they put in so many sites and so close together. There's a 5-foot wide patch of crabgrass/weeds/dirt between each site. If you do happen to have a neighbor and you both have slides, you will be very close. Their hookups are in your "outdoor space." No landscaping, no trees, no shade. Just a big lot, so less worries about the RV hitting something. No cable. No picnic table. No firepit. Sites/road are newer gravel. Wasn't dusty, but harder to walk in since it's not beat down yet. Hookups functioned as desired. Sewer is in middle of site, and electric/water in back of site. All sites are pull thrus set diagonally. Was told sites are 70' long. The site we were in, which looked as long as the others to us, was not 70'. Our 40' fifth wheel fit fine, but we would have had to park our truck (22') at an angle to fit it in the site too. Graciously, the staff allowed us to use a second site to park our truck and extra vehicle and did not charge us extra. That was very nice of them. Constant road noise from the interstate. Can get very windy! No storm shelter on-site. WiFi worked okay sometimes for email/surfing. Few bars AT&T LTE sometimes, but it also fluctuated to 3G often. If map program can't find campground, use Holiday Inn Express on Noami Rd. We camped at York KAMPground in a Fifth Wheel.

It's a fairly large, new park with no shade. It seems that all the sites are close together. The showers were open with no privacy what so ever. There was no place to put your clothes without getting them wet. Interstate 80 was fairly close with a lot of road noise from the trucks. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

Brand new campground w/major problems. I will start by saying that the staff we dealt with were great, however they are only employees. The campground is "not" Class A RV friendly! The gravel is not compacted and with our 40' coach we were sinking 2-3" into both the roadway and the 3 sites we tried. The turns are sharp for larger rigs and the sites are not long enough if you are towing (we are 62' overall) even though all sites are pull-through. All sites have a slope to the side and we were unable to use our jacks to level as they simply sank into the ground. As far as water, sewer, and power they are at the back of the sites so we did not connect to water or sewer, as both req. 2 lines. The campground is all gravel and reminded us of an outdoor theater from the 50's by how close everyone is, how all the sites are lined up in rows one after the other and if there were a movie screen "all" would have a great view. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

This is a new campground, young trees have been planted, as well as grass. It is within walking distance to Walmart, and restaurants. It was easy in and Out to the Interstate. We stopped here on our way down south in March, and on our way back in mid April. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

This is a brand new park. New office and bath house. All of the roads and sites are fresh gravel. Grass has been seeded at all the sites but have not came up yet. Should be alot better next year. All of the sites are pull-thru. WiFi is only around the office at this time. The attendant advised that it is planned to cover the whole campground eventually. Verizon is 4g with full bars. With the TV antennae turned towards the east we are getting 13 channels. Super Walmart and several restaurants are within a block of the campground. We stayed only one night with a PA discount. The only down side is a noticeable amount of road noise from the Interstate 80. We camped at York KAMPground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a brand new park. In fact, we were told we were the 11th customer. The park is not completed yet, but they are open for business. All sites are graveled pull-thru. The utilities are near the back which could be a problem for some motorhomes. The sites are fairly close together and the turns might be tight when the park is full. There were only 3 campers there during our stay. Heavy equipment was still working on the back of the park. They just completed the bath house but we didn't use it. The roads aren't really packed down yet, so you could have a problem getting stuck if you are not careful. They do honor Passport America and Good Sam. It is right off I80 and Highway 81. It has a lot of potential to be a nice park when it is completed. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.

Just opened and maybe they should have finished off a few things. Gravel sites were too loose. Our motorhome almost got stuck; we had to attempt a few sites for firmer ground. The bathrooms are still under construction. Clean but in construction and felt like I was sneaking into a building site. They are charging full prices and yes, staff are great but would have been the same at the Walmart parking lot; at least the ground would have been firmer. Next year with better firmness and maybe some landscaping and finished buildings. Also the services are in a odd spot to the point we never hooked up sewer. We camped at York KAMPground in a Motorhome.
