An overnight stop in the absolute middle of no where. Easy access from US-93, in the heart of Alamo, NV. Check-in was friendly and easy, guided to our site. When we arrived there was one other RV in the CG. By dinner time there were there were four others and, even with many empty sites we were stacked into our sites, side by side, pairs, and very, very close. Our site backed up to the creek. Not particularly inconvenient but unusual. Utilities are at the back of the back-in sites, not an easy reach. There isn't much to do here, good stop over on the way north. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly folks running the park. Supper easy pull thrus with what amounts to a vacant normal space on each side of us with this back to back layout. Cross a street and up the stairs and your at the town market. Three doors down a side street and a family Mexican American restaurant will fill you up from 8:00am to 8:00 pm. This is a small park with folks who want your visit to be fun and it was. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice people run this park. Looks like they are in the middle of upgrading. Front pull through safe spacious. Easy enough to get into, nice gas station/store in front, easy to get in and out of even hooked up to trailer. Quiet at night, even with 93 running nearby. Great stop on the way to Idaho. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything worked, park is simply a large dirt parking lot with no ambience or aesthetically redeeming qualities. Check-in was efficient, lady in the office was pleasant and helpful. Located on a busy street. It was okay for an overnight stop only. Easy in and out due to wide open parking lot style. There aren't many choices in the area. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Back to back pull through sites quite narrow. Hostess kept wanting me to get too close to utilities for my slides. I do not believe there is room for another big rig next to me now with my slides out. Good TV. Good 50A power. Do not plan to eat out on Monday night as the only restaurant (Mexican) is closed that night. I guess there is a grocery store in town. As others have reported, the staff is very nice and helpful. Otherwise I would have rated the park lower. The gravel sites are very close together, cable TV was fuzzy and the surroundings less than pleasing. OK for overnight and that's pretty much the extent of their business. They offer propane. Verizon signal 3G only. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We pulled in to Picketts very early one day to avoid the high winds. Welcoming greeting at the gate and guidance to park; friendly, efficient check-in with lots of information about next door restaurant, local groceries, etc. All gravel park with some shade, pull-through and back-in sites, all with full hook-ups.

We backed in at the back of the park; sites would be VERY close if the park had been full. As it was, it felt spacious and we had beautiful, large, rustling trees, a babbling creek and a peaceful view out the back window.

The Internet is strong, cable good. Laundry is immaculate as are restrooms --- complete with BATHTUBS!! There is a small book exchange available, too.

All in all, a lovely haven from the wind, friendly, helpful managers. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

On the way south we just needed a place for the night, and that is what this RV Park is for. Friendly staff in the office and out in the park which is basically a level gravel parking lot with hookups, all working. Each site is long and wide enough for big rigs with slideouts and awning, standard hookups with 50 amp power, water with enough pressure, sewer and WiFi which worked fine and cable TV. I didn't try satellite but it might work on most of the sites as the trees are only on one side of the park. Washrooms and office are in a trailer, clean and functional. We would stay again at this park when driving through. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Motorhome.

New owners and new management at this park. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. There are several long pull-throughs if you don't want to unhitch. There are also about 10 back-in sites next to the trees and creek. There is some noise from the store next door, but it is not disruptive. The new manager is building up a small book exchange near the laundry room. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Came in after dark and they still welcomed us! Long pullthru site with full hookups and 70 psi water pressure.

Sites gravel, clean and level. A night light on the water post to help you when you hook up.

If you are a geocacher, then this is the place to be! There are thousands of geocaches close by on the Extraterrestrial Hwy and surrounding area. This is a clean, well run park. The managers are new so old complaints are no longer relevant. Very nice, helpful people. Sites are gravel and level. Be aware of possible electrical problems, as we found no ground at our site but were quickly moved to another with good 50 amp service. The surrounding mountains and green valley are beautiful. This is definitely a spot to return to. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Motorhome.
