The last two reviews pretty well sum it up. A good desert park with all the amenities but cable TV. No on air TV either. Good WiFi and Verizon cell service The Park entrance is just to the west of the Chevron station building. A little hard to see. If you need fuel, I'd suggest the fuel station directly across from the Chevron station. Much easier to maneuver a trailer or motor home. If we are back this way, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Longstreet Casino is 16 miles south on Highway 373 toward Death Valley. It has slots, bar, and full service restaurant. There is also an RV Park there. Similar to this one.

A good place to stop for the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry and shower room were clean and laundry was a good price. Cell tower nearby so you should get very good cell service. Free WiFi was available. Propane at the gas station in front. Will be stopping back here again on my return trip. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

$25.00 cash only. If you want sewer at your site it's $10 more but they do have a dump as well. Since we were only there one night we didn't hook up to the sewer. Nice wide, level gravel spaces with some trees and flowering shrubs on the grounds to add some color. Fuel and convenience store in front of RV Park which is on the south side of the road. Small RV park sign can be easily missed. Bigger fuel/truck stop across the road along with another convenience store and a brothel. Perfect for a one night stop on our way to Lake Tahoe. Not much to choose from between Vegas and Tahoe but the vie,w along the route was stunning! Make sure to fuel up here because there's very few opportunities for hundreds of miles for big rigs. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

We last stayed here in July 2014 instead of going to Beatty, same thing this time. We made the mistake of picking our spot towards the back & facing the 273......hook ups were not well maintained and there was some traffic noise from the highway. We were NOT charged extra for the use of the dump at the site, the $10 extra is for non-site dump use. If you stay there, select a section more towards the middle (red area), this looked cleaner....don't go towards the back like we did, there is a lot of junk around. The Chevron gas station is open, higher priced than across the street, the little store doesn't have much of anything. You drop your money in a box where the "office" is & then pick your spot.....no need to register your rig or spot, the manager/owner will come check in with you later, it's a very simple process. My hubby was upset with the dump/water on site because everything was "on the ground" it was not an easy process on his back. Oh well.....$25.00!! On our way back we will stay in Beatty at that $25 stop.....it's ok too. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have to echo the comments of AV-Ed (Apt 2017). This is an oasis in the midst of nothing. If you've read the reviews of parks in Beatty or Pahrump, you might be tempted to take a chance on this one. Good decision. Lots of room, trees at each site, no reservations needed. There were 20-30 spaces occupied out of the 90+ available. Owner says the busy months are April & November. NOTE: cash only. Potential downside; they sell fireworks across the street and your pets may object. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Middle Of Nowhere Nice I stayed for one night while traveling from northern Nevada to So Cal. After not liking what I saw in Beatty (cramped locations) but was too tired to make Pahrump, this RV Park turned out quite nice. It was quiet, the sites are level, the hook ups are easy & the man running the park is very helpful. All the sites appear to be pull thru. I had plenty of room for my 25' trailer & Ram 3500 truck. The sites are gravel with small trees and are adequately spacious. There's showers & a laundry but I didn't use them or visit them. In front there's a gas station & store. There's a very large space between the park & the road to walk pets. Traffic noise is not too noticeable either. Sci-fi fans will beam across the street to the "Area 51 Space Alien Travel Plaza" fuel & restaurant stop. Good luck trying not to buy any alien suvioneers! Like the tequila or vodka in alien head shape bottles. In back is the maybe world famous Bunny Ranch but I don't know what kinda "bunnies" are there. (Yes Dear- Honest!). I enjoyed my stay at the RV Park more than I thought & would stay again. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A great overnight place. Them manager is always friendly and helpful. Gravel sites are clean and level. Bathrooms are clean. Wi-fi works pretty good for being in the back-of-beyond for technology. Water and power are very good. There is a new Chevron service station right in front of the park, and the old Fort Amargosa store has re-opened. Of course, the Area 51 Travel Center (with cafe and brothel museum) is open right across the highway. We love stopping at this RV park on trips through the area. We stayed here passing through to Vegas back in August 2011 and there were barely any trees, now they have grown pretty nicely.

The manager lived in the back of the RV park in a 5er, the new one lives in front in a Class C.

We arrived around 8pm and there is minimal lighting in the park so he walks around with you with a flashlight and lets you pick your space.

All are packed gravel and fairly level with water and electric. Dump is available in back. Was pretty empty so we had choice space basically. All spaces are pull through and can accommodate our 40' Motorhome and attached Ford Taurus toad. Quiet.....shop has minimal goods. Brothel across the street that seems respectful as respectful a Brothel can be! No WiFi, no internet but a nice place to stay over for a day or two. We now head to North toward Reno. Would stay here again and probably will on my way back to vegas in 2 weeks. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much around that we saw. We had a destination on a time frame for Oregon so not much time to look around.

I will say that the RV grounds are very hard to see. They are behind a convenience store...there are two across the street from each other. The RV park is on the south bound side, the north bound side is the brothel.

Alien gift shop across the road was interesting. Very busy place, since it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. We did discover Ash Meadows, about 20 miles to the south on Hwy 373. There is Devils Hole with quite an interesting story.

This is a little oasis, the last opportunity to end your travels on the way to or through Las Vegas. Not much here, except it is a safe place with some shade, many open sites, and GREAT electricity. I plugged in my 50 amp cord and with both A/Cs running, the voltage was still in the 120s. Perfect. I just wanted to stop and not face the LV traffic until morning and this is perfect. Closer than the Beatty parks. We don't use showers outside of the RV and it is 107, so I did not investigate the amenities. Find a site, then go pay in the dropbox. Easy. Stayed here last year when passing thru and now again. Nothing has changed. Great place to spend the night and you can't beat the price.

Fuel across the hwy 95 with an Area 51 store and a brothel next door.

Got some more tshirts again this year. Electric and water are fine. The free WiFi didn't work for us and had to use our strong Verizon MiFi.

Will stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

A basic overnight stop. Kind of a funky park but what do you want for the price. Good internet and level sites. Easy check in. Although it is close to the highway, the noise isn't bad. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

First time we've camped here. The sites are level and gravel. All pull-through and long. Medium width. The place was pretty empty when we pulled in, and we could have our choice of spots. Some shade. Clean as a whistle. Garbage cans near every site. Moderate lighting. Great internet. Some highway noise. Gas and store across the street. 50 amp. No complaints. I'd stay here again. Nice park to use as a base for Death Valley. Can't beat the price and the hookups are well placed except for the sewer. It is towards the front.
