This campground is located on US 50 at the NV/UT border. Very little traffic so noise is not an issue. Check in was easy, pay at the store and pick a spot. It's basically a large open lot with hookups. The utilities worked fine. There was a picnic table in our site but it was too weathered to use it. However we did see staff making repairs to other tables nearby. It's about a 15-20 min drive to GBNP. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was good. The staff was friendly and we'd stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large (good) gravel lot with some landscaping separating large pull thru transient sites. Paid inside and was told to pick my own site, great! Level. Had a burger and beer in the restaurant, was good. Lots of slot machines in bar. Satellite friendly. I'd stay here again. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

While the Great Basin National Park area provides many camping options, they diminish quickly when one is in a large RV. Consequently, the Border Inn provided a good option for me. While it is basically a large gravel area out in the open, my site was level and had great hookups. Another bonus was plenty of open maneuvering room for my motorhome and tow car. Not much else in the way of amenities, but I spent most of my time in the beautiful national park. I did not eat at the adjoining restaurant or entertain myself at the small casino. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grand Basin National Park is a real gem. It is a quiet park with plenty of varied scenery, great hiking trails and the beautiful drive up to Mt. Wheeler. The rangers are very helpful and enthusiastic about the park. The evening astronomy programs were incredibly interesting and well-presented. The small, nearby town of Baker is quite quaint and home to Kerouac's Restaurant, which has great food and an impressive full bar.

Level pull through sites. Utilities well placed. Good stop if visiting Great Basin NP. No amenities. No tv, OTA or cable. Sat tv probably ok but I don't have it. Verizon signal strong but shows as extended network, 3G. Restrooms looked adequate only, didn't use though. Laundry shares space with storage room. Two washers and dryers plus two commercial dryers, again didn't use. Restaurant, small casino and gas station out front. Was told to pick any open site. As other reviewer commented, sites have complementary dog droppings which I had to clean up before I would let my dogs walk outside out site. Pretty old and warped picnic table.although close to highway it seemed to be reasonably quiet. No dog run. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We paid $25 plus 11% tax for a large level pull-through with 50 amp full hookups. Most sites came with a pile or two of dog crap at no extra charge. If you look up 'the middle of nowhere', this is it. The review about 47 over-the-air stations was that poster's idea of a joke. No OTA TV reception here at all. Verizon cell and broadband both on extended 3G networks. The broadband varied with the time of day, OK early (very) AM and not usable at all in the PM. This is a 24 hour establishment with a lot of very early traffic. There are several mobile home style trailers here and the people who live in them just drive through any empty site. So we had traffic passing through the empty site next to us. A Sysco food delivery truck towing tandem came in before 6 AM with his delivery in the rear trailer. Lots of shuffling around for that. There really are no other options around if you have a decent RV. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basic gravel parking lot with mostly level full hookup sites, laundry room, bathroom and showers looked average (I didn't use). No WiFi at sites, extremely slow WiFi inside the café - it was satellite based and weather dependent. Verizon had phone signal, but no web or data. In fairness, this is an extremely remote area, and you have to plan on being out of touch with the outside world. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a gravel parking lot in the middle of nowhere on the "lonliest road in America". We wanted to visit Great Basin National Park and there wasn't much to choose from. They had full hook-ups which worked well. We were able to get satellite and Verizon service. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great Basin National Park was terrific. Take time to acclimate to the elevation before hiking Wheeler Peak. I didn't and unfortunately I got sick. This national park is really nice and very remote. The Lehman Caves tour was wonderful!!

If you intend to visit Great Basin National Park, and are unable to squeeze into one of the nine (dry) sites in the NP, then this is the place for you. Full hook ups on a large gravel lot. No shade, no frills, no problem. I took a peek at the men's bathroom. It was tired and worn, with no tp on the roll. Other than that, staff was friendly and restaurant breakfast abundant. This park was perfect for us on our way to Great Basin and westward on "America's Loneliest Highway" (US 50). We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are visiting Great Basin NP and want hook ups there are two choices and this is the better of the two. Basically a gravel parking lot with full hookups behind a gas station and a small casino. Has WiFi but is so slow that it is basically useless. Office folks were pleasant and the rate is pretty low. The food in the cafe inside the casino is okay. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Parking lot behind small casino, all gravel sites with hookups. Sites wide, level, no trees, all pull-through sites. Not very good but reasonable place to stop for a night and close to Grand Basin Nat'l Park. Small casino, nice restaurant, small store and gas station. Would stay again only if in the area. No membership or discounts. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A quirky little place in the middle of nowhere, but perfectly placed for spending time in Great Basin National Park. This is a no-nonsense campground! Gravel parking lot, but good electric, water and sewer hookups. The bar inside is cheap and worth going to have a drink. Breakfast in the cafe is good and quick, too. Alright, this place is out in the middle of nowhere. But a very welcome site for a overnight stop. It is on the border of Utah and Nevada. You could stand with one foot in each state. We used this location to go to the Great Basin National Park and also the Lehlman Cave. If you are going on tour of the Cave, be sure to reserve the day before or very early the next day, as it sells out. Which we highly recommend that you do. This is really bare bones park, they do have a restroom and laundry facility in a separate building, but we did not need. Also a small motel located on other side of Casino. Very quiet. Yes, we come again. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good for an overnight stay but not much else. The RV park is a large open, flat gravel area; a few trees and little shade. There are full hook ups and the adjoining restaurant is OK. The bathrooms are strange: there is only one toilet per men's and women's and neither have a door on it. You basically have to lock the entire bathroom, which includes the showers, for privacy. While we were there it was very windy. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were traveling west from the Town of Delta, NV and this the first and only place to get gas for 83 miles. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
