Convenient location & reasonable price. Bad layout, interior roads tight & folks still park halfway into the roads. The dump station is tucked in a bit tight. They water the sites 2x per day a couple days a week, which makes you pack up each time or get all your chairs/tables/bbq's/etc. soaked. Your rig gets sprayed too, water quality leaves spots all over. Men's bath/shower had paper all over floor, stained shower curtains, not cleaned the 4 days we were there. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is a glorified parking lot. Site was level with grass and picnic table between each site. Sites are so close you can't put out your awning. Restrooms are clean with hot water. To use the pool, you must go to the other side of the complex and use the hotel pool. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful (we had an electrical issue) but the check-in staff was not. To get a physical receipt, you must go to the front desk to ckeck out. They also all a $50 hold to your credit card for incidentals (what incidentals will I have at this RV park??) We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Prime rib dinner for $9.99 at hotel diner. Walmart one exit north. DJ 's RV Center about 1 mile away had the electrical socket we needed to replace before we could connect to electricity.

This park is convenient to town Carson City, Virginia City and surrounding areas. The food is reasonably priced and not bad for casino food. But the campground is very tight if you have a big rig over 38 feet. You could have problems leaving when you want to leave. We had to zigzag through the dump station area and I don't think I would've made it out without clipping the guy next to me's pick up truck for his fifth wheel. Another thing that gripes me about these parks is their sprinklers are set so that the water sprays your motorhome and is so hard it will permanently stain your motorhome if you don't get on it real quick and get it taken care of. Overall I will probably stay here again if the weather is hot. If the weather is cool in the fall or early winter I will probably boondock somewhere in passing through. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient park for visiting Carson City. Good wi-fi and satellite access. There is a pool available but we didn't use. The main negative is the width of sites, you are very close to your neighbor! I was worried about noise but it was very quiet. If you want a receipt you have to physically check-out at the hotel on departure. We would stay here again. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Gold Dust Casino's tag line says it all, "In the middle of everywhere!" This is a great casino park. There's nothing fancy but it has everything one needs for a few days or weeks in the Carson City area.

The bathrooms, showers and laundry were immaculate. Also, the casino hotel spa and pool is available to RVers although we didn't use them.

Rigs longer than 35' may find it tight but the biggest tip is to unhook and hookup outside the park. There's a huge casino parking lot just outside the park but we still watched a number of clueless people block the interior drive to unhook/hookup and then struggle to make the corners.

As always my biggest gripe was inconsiderate dog walkers who ignore the provided dog run and let their dogs do their business anywhere but that's not the casino's fault. The casino seems to clean up any messes very quickly. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

All sites are paved, with grass and a tree between sites, but they are very tight. Roads are easy to get through, except that the tight sites mean that tow vehicles may be in the way getting out. Cable was good, but so is antenna TV. WiFi is weak at times. Check-in (and out) is at the hotel registration, a ways from the RV Park. Also, they hold a $50 deposit until you check out, in the event of damage at your site. But all in all, a great place to stay. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was easy to find on Hwy 50 just off Hwy 395. Parking for check-in is next to laundry/shower building; check in at hotel. Spaces in park are narrow, as are roads; use caution when turning from rows to exit; might need a 'spotter' to make sure you clear garbage area if not in back row (with a 32 ft 5-er was tight from an inside row). Wi-Fi adequate in space near pet walk. Would suggest taking a flashlight if coming back from casino area after dark as lighting walking to RV area very limited. The Mexican café in casino was adequate with limited menu but margarita was good. Husband found slot machines were 98% penny ones.

I like this park but, I am a little disappointed on the fact that they let all the landscaping turn to weeds and dandy lions that they were putting in two years ago waking me up at 6 AM in the morning. The park is very tight getting in and out with big rigs I saved a guy from Florida probably $20,000 had I not started banging on his motorhome before he clipped the restroom about midway prior to leaving the park. Be careful on your departure swing out keep them wheels straight until you are clear to cut in if you have room otherwise get a couple of spotters a lot of vehicles get damaged in this park. I think the value of this park is a little high considering they are part of the casino. I probably will try to look for other options but can't guarantee it just seems like everything's a little bit run down, used and abused. Paved level full hookup sites. Some road noise from I-580 but not bad. Nice, reasonably priced laundry, 8 each commercial but household size washers & dryers. We would stay here again if in area. Staff very friendly and helpful. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a Small RV Park (45 sites) behind the Gold Dust Casino - near Highway 580 - but not too bad for noise. If you are sensitive to traffic noise bring ear plugs. Check-in was a little confusing as we weren't sure where to go to check in. It turns out you should pull up to the hotel check-in area and go inside. Or if they give you a site number when you make a reservation - park and walk over to check in.

Wifi and TV were good. Bathrooms were clean & required a code. The sites were a good size. We chose a back in. The pull-through sites are bigger. All sites have some grass by them and a picnic table. The sites are all paved and spaced well.

We chose a site as far away from the highway as possible - just because of the possibility of traffic noise.

Originally we were going to stay at the RV Park that is near Costco which was recommended by a fellow camper when we were in Bishop, CA. But our gut told us to try this smaller one at this Casino (never stayed at a casino before.) We were really glad once we saw the other place because the other one is sandwiched between 2 busy highways and the sites look really small and appear to be dirt.

We would stay here at the Gold Dust again. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Return trip here. Hookups, Wi-Fi, space, location all great. Cable TV is now a box to hookup. It doesn't work. Noticed several campers with the same problem. Staff, friendly, said they are going back to regular cable. They told us that 7 months ago. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pictures on the web site do not show how "tight" this park is. It is more a parking lot than an RV park. Our unit is 39' and we barely fit into a space. Couldn't put our awning out because the neighboring rig is too close. The dog park is little more than a 30 by 6 feet. sand pit. Would not return to this park, ever! Very clean campground. The only problem I had was they were landscaping the park and the landscaping company started at 6 am in the morning. I thought this was a little bit inconvenience for the people camping there - I did not complain I just went with the flow. They also were watering the new turf and the sprinklers were not set just right so several motorhomes got soaked during the night. The campground was very quiet. The casino food was reasonably priced and pretty good. I would stay here again if need be. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the second time we've stayed at this park and it probably will be our last. First, the good: Wi-Fi and water pressure are excellent; the location is convenient to the rest of Carson City and, 13 miles away, historic Virginia City; and the casino restaurant has passable food at inexpensive prices. Next, the bad: the spaces, although landscaped, are short and narrow, too short for a full sized motorhome plus tow; registration is at the hotel front desk and of the desk clerks I spoke with during our three day stay, two were noticeably curt, and the third was downright rude; although there is a small pet area, it is too small for exercise (there is an adjacent paved overflow parking lot); and the noise from the adjacent freeway, while not overwhelming, can be distracting. Finally, because this park operates as a hotel, it stores your credit card information and posts charges as they accrue, all well and good, except that, without telling you, the park will post a $100 “authentication” charge at check-in, which, with luck, it will credit back when you check-out, and, in our case, the park charged us for four nights when we had stayed only three, requiring a follow-up phone call and bit of an argument to get the extra night’s charge removed. Daily and monthly rates only, no weekly discount. We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.
