First of all, you need to know this is a boater/watercraft/fishing place and is VERY remote. The resort bills itself as Searchlight NV, but it's actually 15 miles east of Searchlight off of SR95 down in the Colorado River canyon on Lake Mojave. Long fairly narrow grade going in and coming out with no level cooling off spots, NO places to pull over, OR TURN AROUND. If you have a big rig like our 40' fiver, once you start down, you have to go the entire 15 miles to the resort to turn around. The paved road is good, though. This resort is way over priced for what you get. When you get to the resort it's confusing as to where to turn into the RV portion or find the office due to lack of directing signs. The RV park is listed as gravel but it's dirt/sand and very dusty. Sites are not level. No shade. Some trash on the ground. There are both pull-through and back-in sites, but all are narrow and tight. Metal picnic tables were dirty and stained. Many of the concrete "patios" are cracked and broken. Water and power was OK. Full hook-ups 50 amp service. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. You are on your own finding the office, your site, and parking your rig. Bathroom/showers were clean but very hot and stuffy. Small motel is way overpriced. Beach and marina are nice, lake water good and clear and safe for swimming. Good fishing for big striper if you have a boat. Boat rentals and slips are very expensive. The small store/gift shop has some basic clothing, groceries, boating and RV repair supplies but there is NO shopping for many miles, NO RV repair services and NO FUEL, except for boats at the marina. The resort is on NPS property so lots of NPS rules. Pets are OK with NPS restrictions. Due to it being overpriced for what you get, and the grade in and out, we would NOT return again. We camped at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very old and unkept campground at Lake Mojave. The RV spots are tight and some are un-level. My slide was just short of my neighbor's concrete patio. The park is gravel roads, gravel sites and hardly any shade. Forget about Internet or cell phones since there is zero signal. It is a desert setting, short "downhill" walk to the lake with a hotel, boat launch, store and marina. Management appears to cater to the boaters while ignoring the RV'ers. Lots of vehicle traffic during all hours since many come to party at the Lake. We camped at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

This is an old campground located within the Lake Mead National Park at Lake Mojave. The park has all the RV spots together with the park model part of the park located above. The park is gravel roads, gravel sites and few trees which makes it big rig friendly and satellite friendly. It is a desert setting. It is a short walk to the river with a hotel, boat launch, store and marina. The sites are narrow, but accommodated my 45' coach and room to park tow vehicle (they advertise no coaches over 40'). My slide was just short of my neighbor's concrete patio, each site has with a table. All utilities worked and were modern. The campground served our purpose and we would return. We camped at Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.
