Nice pull through for the night with a good location. Staff was very nice and you can use the Hilton Garden Inns amenities if you like. Also 20% off coupon for eating at the HG inn. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice/clean rv park. It is located in town. The laundry has many washers/dryers and is very clean! The clubhouse has a pool table, large screen tv/sitting area, and some sundries. There are hot tub pools, and a children's play area. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a comfortable and quiet park. You do hear an occasional train whistle, but this did not bother us at all! You are down below the freeway, so you do not hear any freeway noise. The spaces are gravel, with a concrete pad and picnic table. Our site had grass and trees on the perimeter. We did have to put more levelers under the front jacks due to it being quite a bit lower in front to get level. Site also had room for our visitors to park their auto. We rested and enjoyed this rv park for 4 nights while visiting relatives. We will definitely return to Iron Horse RV Resort when in Elko, NV. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Elko has a Walmart and several fast food and other restaurants. Wendy's had a great burger. Albertsons is close by. The Star Basque restaurant is expensive, and the food is not good for the money! The Ruby Mountains are nearby and were stunning!

We stayed one night when passing through the area. This park has a lot of full timers. Front office staff was helpful in responding to my request to change sites after our initial site was a few feet from the dreaded "chained up, barking dog". The park is neat and clean overall, the sites are level, and utilities well placed. We found Elko to be a nice looking town (certainly the cleanest looking town across I-80 in northern NV), and we would return to Iron Horse again without question if passing through the area. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I appreciated the 20% off coupon for the restaurant at the Hilton that sits up above the RV park. I walked up the hill and put the coupon to use for a tasty dinner.

This campground was a total surprise. We were not expecting such lush grass in the high desert. Ironhorse was clean and a great place to camp. We were there for an over nighter but could have easily stayed for a week. WI-FI was good, so we're the doggie areas. The entire property was very clean. Seemed to be a lot of full-timers, but their spaces were clean and tidy.

If you are coming from the west, the entrance is just past the Hilton Inn. The sign is small and easily missed. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The check in person was polite, not particularly friendly. The grounds were very neat and well mantainec, with wide paved roads and gravel spaces. All utilities functioned well and were logically located. The off leash pet area was very nice. We have stayed here before when heading east and will certainly stay here again. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a great stop over spot. There were quite a few long term residents there but their rigs and their spaces were immaculate.

You must try the Star Hotel for dinner. It is Basque food served family style. I left full and with two meals worth of leftovers.

Our back-in site was a narrow spot for our 40' motorhome with a tree on the passenger's side at the front and a sharp rock on the driver's side at the front. When I plugged in the electric the entire post fell over - it was not attached at the ground. Otherwise, though, not bad. Utilities worked well, including WIFI and cable TV, and hookups were in the center. Easy in, around, and out. Clean and well kept park. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very classy RV Park with really nice sites in a nice environment. Easy in and out for all pull throughs and though some really long 5th wheels might have difficulty in a few back in sites most sites are right for just about everybody. They do have a 72-hour cancellation policy but if you don't cancel and only delay your arrival, there is no fee. That's reasonable for a 5-star rv park. There is a train some distance away but, heck, that's to be expected in rural areas. No big deal. We were only here one night but were happy we stayed here.

I give it a high rating and would definitely return here. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean, fancy RV resort. Only stayed 1 night. Called the day of our arrival to reserve, was a $5 charge to c.c. (deducted from cost). Site was level side-to-side, but not fore-to aft. After leveling, was not able to back truck under 5th wheel. Carry blocks. They have agreement with nearby hotel for pool and spa. Would stay again. Staff is very accommodating. Facility is very clean. Staff said no one has ever complained about the Internet. Well, then I'm the first. Internet was slow (< 1 Mbps), and that's when I had a good connection, which was seldom. Spot was not perfectly level, but spacious. Price is high for what you get in my honest opinion. But given how clean and new this place is, I'm sure they won't have a problem getting it. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

One VERY important note: DO NOT get fuel at the Chevron station near by, though. They are crooks. They charge 40 cents more than the stations 2 blocks to the south and 80 cents more than the stations in Wells, Nevada 60 miles down the road.

AND take some time to explore the Ruby Mountains to the south. The Ruby Mountain Recreation Area is top notch. Drive around the mountains for some majestic scenery, too. Very beautiful area.

Similar to most comments, clean, quiet park. Pads are gravel, we did have to level our unit when we pulled in. We had a back in slot and did not think the spaces were too tight...They have large concrete pads for the picnic tables. The pool is pretty small, but they do have nicely cared for green spaces, and semi (?) mature trees. Bath and showers clean, but shower and dry off area pretty small. Not far from some restaurants and shopping. Nice stop over location... We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.
