This park was difficult to find due to limited signage at street entrance (rock with name); it is between the Hilton Garden and the Comfort Inn (look for large sign along I-80 to find). Needed a place for one night while waiting for new wheel for rig. Back-in sites were only $34/night but pull-throughs at $48 easier. Spaces wide on concrete but mostly w/o shade; if staying in summer will be hot. Park has many long-term residents (with newer rigs) for those working for gold mining industry in area but one of best parks in area. Staff were pleasant at check in process and accommodating for our possible need to extend stay. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

As others said, difficult to find we passed the entrance and had to turn back. Affiliated with the Hilton Hotel on the hill above. Nice paved streets but the site we had was gravel and a bit sloped, difficult to pull into with our 40 ft coach and towed mid size truck. We were not completely level. We only stayed overnight, it was expensive for the stay. No enforcement of the doggie poop pick up rules and some dogs running lose. Many permanent or semi permanent residents, several park model cabins which were all occupied by workers in mines and the area. Nothing here, must unhook and drive up the hill and down the road. It is very pretty but would be better with a small store, snack bar, etc. We were only overnight so it worked out ok. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Maybe my expectations were too high from the high quality website. Spots are clean gravel with enough room for slides. But, this is primarily a full time trailer park with cute little children running freely around and the full timers across from us have a full garage worth of stuff outside their trailer including laundry baskets. The pool is the size of a large spa, and the spa is the size of a big bathtub. Disappointed. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A very nice clean park. A nice place to stay overnite when traveling. The site was gravel and we had a very difficult time leveling our motor home. We noticed a lot of rigs way up on levelers. Can't figure out why you would build an rv park and not have level sites!! We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gracious hosts. Wide level spaces, off highway, but near railroad tracks though noise wasn't excessive. Great bathrooms and showers up in the main office building. Very small pool, but have access to the Hilton Inn's pool, etc. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great stop over when passing through. Sites are level with concret patio and grass in each site. Hook ups set in proper place for easy use. Resort hard to find from road as signs not big or in good spot to see so drive slow. Resort sits below the road and behind a hotel. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very cowboy town. Basque restaurants are fun and food very good. Be sure try it out. Ruby mountains are near and worth the drive. Elko has all the services you need from A to Z.

Great park, loved the dog area. Washers and dryers worked really well. I've read reviews about the train being loud, we could hear it but we didn't think it was bad at all. Best thing about this park are the people. We had to stay an additional night because of a medical issue and they accommodated us even the park was full. Took so much stress off of us. Will definitely stay again! We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose a back in as it was a few dollars cheaper. It was not perfectly level which is a problem with a diesel pusher. I would choose a pull thru next time for a few dollars more. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and small pool area. Trains are nearby but not too many. Very easy for a big rig to get in. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay overnight. The sites are clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. The pool is small but the kids managed to get wet and have fun. Some noise from the highway and trains but not bad. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived without a reservation, back in sites were $34.00, we did not want to unhook because we had an early appointment to get our trailer repaired. Per the park staff, the back in sites are 55'. Our assigned site was uneven, side to side as well as fore and aft, and would have required us to unhook to level the trailer. We were given another site and while it was better it was not level. I looked at the back in sites and they were worse then our new site. The sites are crushed gravel, they were clean with a cement pad and wood table and grass. Our site was #38. Very nice park, clean & well maintained, but for the price the sites should be more level. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Entry sign hard to see, about 5 ft high, brown background in a brown landscape. Check in easy, quick. Sites are head to toe, you will have a close neighbor on driver side. Water pressure very high, you will need a pressure reducer. Many permanent residents. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Elko has a interesting downtown, gambling, restaurants & a few attractions only found in Nevada.

We have stayed at the Iron Horse numerous times. This is a very nice park. There is the railroad, but all towns along I-80 in Nevada are near train tracks. The trains do not make a lot of noise, I think the trains were at about 10pm and 7am. There is a small pool in the park, but guests can use the pool at the Hilton just up the hill. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, clean park. On-site pool is small, but guest have access to a larger one at off-site Holiday Inn. As I was writing this review, I noted I was charged a $.25 Online Reservation Fee. No where on their web site did I find a notice of this surcharge.?!? We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is centrally located to town. Appears to be a newer park. Very nicely maintained. Roads are paved, sites are crushed gravel with concrete patio slab. Minimal trees. Pull thru sites are opposing so that the service area serves two sites, which means your neighbor is very close to you and on your door side you are facing your other neighbor. Sites are long enough for big rigs and towed vehicles, ours was very level. Area is quiet except there are train tracks in the back that feed into a rail hub, so there is train traffic and some train horn noise. Wi-Fi is free and worked OK during our stay. They have an extensive cable TV channel list but we used satellite which is no problem getting a signal. It is probably the nicest park in town and they charge for it. Without discount the rate for a pull thru is over $50, which I think is way high for the area. We used it as an overnight stay and bit the bullet on the price. We camped at Iron Horse RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
