Access is reasonably easy from I-80. Good paved road all the way. There is a traffic circle that is odd...two lanes leading to it but you must be in the left lane to enter the circle. Check in was quick, easy and informative. Informative in that Wifi did not work. It was being worked on. The clerk insisted that we be escorted to our site. It was a pull through and easy to find. There was no need for the escort. Parameter roads are gravel and dusty. The pad was concrete. The site was just wide enough for both of our opposing slides. Services were to the left and well placed. I did not like the water spigot. It was less than one inch from the ground. We discovered our Cable did not work. Spoke with clerk and was informed her husband would be by momentarily to fix. He never showed up. I had an extra length of cable so I tapped into our neighbors. It was snowy so we used OTA. All of the dumpsters we saw were overflowing. The only thing that we found adequate was the laundry room. It was clean and reasonably priced. ninty percent permanents and it shows. Lots of junk outside. We had planned to stay three or four nights but left after one. We paid $37.30 inc tax with G S discount and feel we were over charged. We will not return. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

OK park for an overnight. Mostly seasonal or permanent residents. First sites coming in aren't too bad, but back where we were, its more like a parking lot. No grass, table, fire ring - just enough room for the MH. Seemed to be a lot of traffic through during the night. The people who run it, however, are very, very nice. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Site arrangement was a little strange but it worked OK. Pulled through without unhooking toad, and it looked like we were sticking out into the roads both front and rear. However, there was plenty of room to get by, and if you looked up the road, there were curbs that showed where the edge of the road really is. When the manager parked us, there were some small tree branches that would hit our slide. He came out with a saw and cut them off. Very accommodating. We were in the front half of the park, where the parking pads are paved, but just long enough for the RV - toad was on gravel. Grass between sites. It was quiet enough there during the one night we were there. Verizon cell and internet worked well. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good overnight park. Hwy and railroad noise was not overwhelming. Site and utilities were fine. Slight water leak but staff and I attended to that. Restrooms OK but showers need to be rehabbed. Did not use but laundry looked good. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

50 to 60 percent long term residents (some very old RVs). Nice cement pads, paved roads (under construction). Poor cable reception, and weak WIFI signal. A good one night layover, not much more. No picnic table, fire ring or patio. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you're just staying overnight, this isn't a terrible place. There are a LOT of people who live here full time, though, and they leave for work very early. The spaces are not quite 50 ft. long, so if your rig/tow car is longer than that, find somewhere else. Cable worked well, the wifi was so-so, and the staff was friendly enough. Sites are concrete, but the road is gravel with rather large speed bumps, and it's not wide enough for two rigs at once. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is a busy Hwy 50 and train tracks, so bring your ear plugs, as it is noisy. The people who live in the park and work in the area are numerous in this RV park. They start their trucks up at 4 a.m. to leave for their jobs. That is very irritating at o'dark thirty, when you want to sleep in. The management should place the residents in one area, and leave the pull throughs to traveling Rvers. The residents do not pick up their dog poop. We had to be careful when walking around our 5th wheel not to step in dog poop in the grass. The pull throughs are not long enough to keep your truck attached to your 5th wheel. There was no picnic table at the rv sites. We parked our truck side ways in ftont of our 5th wheel. The lady who checked us in was a very nice lady. The garbage cans were not conveniently located. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Reno is only 40 minutes away. There is a Walmart in Fernley, as well as diners and several fast food restaurants. If you want fresh fruits and veggies, get them at the Scolari's Market rather than Walmart in Fernley. Fallon is to the east about 20 minutes.

This is the second time we have stayed at this park and we really noticed the difference. The last time we stayed in a 28 ft travel trailer, but it was definitely tighter in our 40ft 5th Wheel. Staff is friendly. Sites were narrow and short making it a challenge for a larger RV. We did see, however, many larger RV's there as there is not much choice in the area. My husband walked the site before we took it. Concrete pad and lawn at our site, FHU , wifi worked, but we did not use it. Cable, although they were having trouble with cable in some areas of the park. Because we arrived early they gave us a cable ready site. Lots of permanent people who appeared to be working, mostly. There is an Amazon warehouse in Fernley. It is adequate for a one night stay, or if you have relatives in the area, which we do, but one night is enough. There is a lot of congestion getting off I 80 in Fernley and there is a daunting traffic circle, so suggest googling it before you go there. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have used this park several times and it has been terrific every time. It is a bit off I-80 but well worth the drive. The pull through sites look too short to leave your tow vehicle hooked up however they let you pull unto the asphalt of the road further than it appears you can. Each site has grass which made our dog happy. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a prime example of someone who has never rv'd designing a park. They squeezed 110 sites into the space needed for 65. They advertise their pull thrus as being 25 x 65. We are 40 feet pulling a 15 ft trailer and stuck out 7 feet in the front and 2 feet in the rear. I only saw one other rv towing that left it's tow car attached and they stuck out 5 or 6 feet into the roadway. And 25 ft wide? Nice lie. A decent park if you want to unhook your toad. Gave this a decent rating but it could have been two points higher except for the bothersome road noise all night long. Turned the AC fan on low to give it some white noise but the semis still had their say. Helpful front desk staff helped us find a shady site. Water and electric worked fine, did not use dump at the site.
Nice book, periodical and tape (yes, tape! Do you still have a player?) collection in the rec room which also gives access to the laundry, shower and rest rooms. Will look to try out one of the other parks in the area due to the noise next time. We

We stayed for 2 weeks. Nice long pull thru concrete and grass patio. Easy in and out of park and sites. Shade trees trimmed to be out of way yet still provide some shade. A few sites have no trees. Fenced area for leash free dog run. Golf course a mile away. Park is located next to hwy and near train track but neither bothered us. Propane available on site. This was our second time here. Previous was 2003. The site was an easy pull-through and wide enough. Very good wi-fi. Friendly staff and you could buy propane by the gallon, not a set price/size of bottle. It was also a very good price. Nice laundry. Only problem was dust stirred up by other rigs, cars. We would stay here again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
