Nice place for a brief or overnight stay. Concrete pads, but gravel roads throughout made it dusty. Gravel between most sites; a few end sites with grass, but they wouldn't let bigger rigs park in them. Picnic table and small tree at each site. Good well-placed utilities. Good satellite & Verizon. Despite proximity to hwy, was quiet at night. Would likely stay again if traveling this route. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice place to stay on our way home. Reservations are advised in April and October. The staff was very friendly, and the park is very neat and clean. Easy enter and exit off of highway 97. We will stay there again on our way south. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

The space between sites is very good. They have concrete pads for your rv. The grounds, restrooms/showers, and laundry are very clean! There is a camp store for all your needs, and they have propane for sale. Customer service is excellent. Highway 95 runs nearby, but this park is very quiet at night for the 3 nights we stayed here. We rested here very well! There are a few lawn areas and a horse shoe pit. We will return to Whiskey Flats RV Park when we are going through Hawthorne, NV! We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Newer park, very clean and well maintained. Scenic mountains behind; Safeway store near by. Nice restrooms, clean and adequate but not fancy. Roomy sites, mostly paved pull-throughs. Great park in an area that hasn't many to offer. Good value for price. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The north row on edge of park is where they placed us but it is the only row with unpaved sites. If you ask for a paved pad you'd probably get one even for a one-night stopover. Service was accommodating and they welcome repeat business.

This was a new park about 15 years ago. Have stayed here many times over the years. Could be an 8 or 9 if the owner would do a little more work. Cable TV was spotty, lots of "rain scram" at my site. Park host had no cable at all. Seem to be catering to "squatters" too much now. Very few spaces left over for travelers. The people in space 54 were downright inconsiderate of other visitors, like they were right out of the movie Deliverance. Way too many ATV/UTV running around this park. Noisy and polluting. Most permanent residents do not adhere to RV etiquette. Rate is good here and park is convienient to town and shopping/eats. Spaces are long and level. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our rate included tax and Good Sams discount. We stayed here back in 2011, pretty much the same layout, not much different. Clean, gravel travel lanes, concrete slabs, just about fit our 40' motorhome and Taurus toad.

We had a reservation and was a late check in. Host came and greeted us and then lead us right into our space. Later gave us the wifi code.

Didn't use the TV, restrooms, laundry or showers. The park is very open, could use a bit more lite at night and maybe small areas of grass at each space. All spaces are pull through. Very hard to find the Pet area in the dark. Hook up was easy. Offered 30 and 50 amp, sewer and water. Nice quiet place to stay, would and will stay here again for sure. Probably in a week or two on our way back toward Las Vegas. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

It was nice place to relax and enjoy the area. Great location for outdoor mountain biking, atv trails, hiking, fishing, Walker Lake, wild life viewing, we just enjoyed the peaceful feeling. The Hawthrone Museum, Ordance Museum, horseshoe pits, walking area, not forgetting all spaces were pull through.

Nice park in beautiful setting. Close to Yosemite National Park. Very small town but had most amenities for it's remoteness. Some permanents/workers as all campgrounds seem to have now days. Will return if in the area. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our site was so level we didn't use the jacks! Yay! The park has grown up a little since we were here last. The trees are bigger and offer a little shade. There isn't much to do at the campground but there are a lot of interesting things to see around town, like the military museum and Walker Lake.

The campground is pristine and clean. We love it here at the base of the mountains and we would stay here again and again! What pretty sunsets! And the occasional unexpected rain storm!

Careful: Make certain that they send you a confirmation notice, otherwise you may not get a site! Fortunately, they had a couple of open spaces left, otherwise, even though we had reserved a site online, we'd have been out of luck. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Quick and easy registration with reservation.

Our site was somewhat unlevel. In order to be level, we had quite a step to the ground. As stated before, pads a quite narrow.

WiFi was very slow most of the time. Apparently had to do with how many were on line at the time. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

One night stay between Reno and Lake Mead. Easy in and out off of Hwy 95. Roads are gravel, concrete pad for the RV. Everything else is pretty much either dirt or gravel. Seems to be a fairly new park or just renovated. Not a destination but good for an overnight stay. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access. Next to Hwy 95 but little or no road noise. The landscaping is awesome - beautiful grass areas and everything maintained perfectly. Most of the pads are concrete and as been noted by other reviewers, they are long and level, but a little narrow. There is reasonable spacing between sites and there are trees between each site. The staff member who checked us seemed genuinely appreciative of our business. Most of the sites are pull-through with concrete pads although there is one row of back-in sites and those sites were gravel. The check-in area and the store were neat as a pin. We didn't check out the restrooms, although I did note what appeared to be a cleaning crew working on them around 10 in the morning and I suspect they are as immaculate as the rest of the park. There is a dog area noted on their site map, but there is ample area all around the park; albeit gravel. They do request customers not allow animals on the grass - and I can understand because it is beautiful and perfectly manicured. We were just passing through enroute Reno, but would definitely stay here again if we venture this way again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV park right off Highway 95, but back enough that noise wasn't an issue. Easy check-in. Staff very friendly. Nice, long level concrete pad but very narrow and a little tricky getting rig and tow situated correctly. Utilities good. Satellite reception no problem.
