This is a good overnight stop on 95. Like has been mentioned, the roads are gravel. But the interior roads are wide and easy to maneuver. The concrete pads are long enough. They are just very tight. The dirt area is not a dog walk. Plant a little grass for the dogs. The wifi was acceptable for a park. Digital cable tv available. Will stay here again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were assigned a long paved but narrow pull thru with full hookups. The power pedestal was made of plastic and when I attempted to test the power with our Power Pal the connector kept receding. Finally being able to get it to connect, it said " power unacceptable, ground fault detected do not connect." The office person had me go to the camp host who proceeded to test it with a cheap 3 light device that tested only one line. He said it was fine. I did connect against my better judgement and the coach had only one line working and it kept tripping off. The camp host said it was up to us to find another site that works because he said there was nothing wrong with the pedestal. He could care less about our problem and was very rude to my wife. After testing 12 more pedestals I was able to find one in the back of the park that wasn't worn out from usage because it was plastic. We will definitely not recommend this park to any big rig that needs 50 amps or stay here again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park for over night stay. Very narrow sites .. You can get a site with a concert pad but you walk and drive on gravel. Not much shade trees are small. Grass on end sites but dogs not allowed on grass. Has 24 hr showers and laundry. Little store at the office.. Safeway right down the street.. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Like many others, I feel this is a great site for an overnight stay. Everything is neat and clean. Showers were very nice. A little too much gravel for me. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We always stay here for one night going north or south on the 95. Yes, as the previous reviewer stated there is a lot of gravel. We would rate this park a 10 if only they were more accommodating for our dogs. It seems that most everyone has a least one and at this park you cannot walk them on the grass which they would love (we get it). There is a dirt lot for dogs as you drive in, it would be so nice if this was partially fenced with a bit of grass :). It can be a long walk in the heat for the dogs on the gravel. I know we would be willing to pay more if they put up some fencing. Other than the dog situation we can find no fault with this park. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice place for a brief or overnight stay. Concrete pads, but gravel roads throughout made it dusty. Gravel between most sites; a few end sites with grass, but they wouldn't let bigger rigs park in them. Picnic table and small tree at each site. Good well-placed utilities. Good satellite & Verizon. Despite proximity to hwy, was quiet at night. Would likely stay again if traveling this route. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Unfortunately, Hawthorne NV is another dying U.S. small town, as is also nearby Walker Lake.

Very nice place to stay on our way home. Reservations are advised in April and October. The staff was very friendly, and the park is very neat and clean. Easy enter and exit off of highway 97. We will stay there again on our way south. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

The space between sites is very good. They have concrete pads for your rv. The grounds, restrooms/showers, and laundry are very clean! There is a camp store for all your needs, and they have propane for sale. Customer service is excellent. Highway 95 runs nearby, but this park is very quiet at night for the 3 nights we stayed here. We rested here very well! There are a few lawn areas and a horse shoe pit. We will return to Whiskey Flats RV Park when we are going through Hawthorne, NV! Newer park, very clean and well maintained. Scenic mountains behind; Safeway store near by. Nice restrooms, clean and adequate but not fancy. Roomy sites, mostly paved pull-throughs. Great park in an area that hasn't many to offer. Good value for price. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The north row on edge of park is where they placed us but it is the only row with unpaved sites. If you ask for a paved pad you'd probably get one even for a one-night stopover. Service was accommodating and they welcome repeat business.

This was a new park about 15 years ago. Have stayed here many times over the years. Could be an 8 or 9 if the owner would do a little more work. Cable TV was spotty, lots of "rain scram" at my site. Park host had no cable at all. Seem to be catering to "squatters" too much now. Very few spaces left over for travelers. The people in space 54 were downright inconsiderate of other visitors, like they were right out of the movie Deliverance. Way too many ATV/UTV running around this park. Noisy and polluting. Most permanent residents do not adhere to RV etiquette. Rate is good here and park is convienient to town and shopping/eats. Spaces are long and level. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our rate included tax and Good Sams discount. We stayed here back in 2011, pretty much the same layout, not much different. Clean, gravel travel lanes, concrete slabs, just about fit our 40' motorhome and Taurus toad.

We had a reservation and was a late check in. Host came and greeted us and then lead us right into our space. Later gave us the wifi code.

Didn't use the TV, restrooms, laundry or showers. The park is very open, could use a bit more lite at night and maybe small areas of grass at each space. All spaces are pull through. Very hard to find the Pet area in the dark. Hook up was easy. Offered 30 and 50 amp, sewer and water. Nice quiet place to stay, would and will stay here again for sure. Probably in a week or two on our way back toward Las Vegas. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.
