$5 per night (using the Golden Age Passport) was for a level asphalt pad that was surrounded by a generous area of sand/gravel and beautiful desert vegetation including eucalyptus trees. Each primitive site has a concrete picnic table and fire ring. This campground is located on the outskirts of Las Vegas where there is every amenity. Our site had a 360? view of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers plenty of outdoor activities including hiking and biking trails, rock climbing, boating, fishing, hunting, and picnicking. There were lots of Gambel?s Quail, Ruby-throated hummingbirds, and coyotes in the area. AT&T and Verizon service were three ? four bars of LTE. There were over 40 OTA TV stations and we received many radio stations including HD stations. We camped at Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here in September, 2014, after all the schools had opened. There were maybe 10 campers in the park. It was so hot! Over 100 degrees. We paid for two days but after the first night we left in search of A/C Now, this wasn't the park's problem. In cooler weather this park would be nice. Spaces, like in all NPS parks were close together. I suspect this place would be really crowded in the full season. Lake Mead was really low We camped at Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is just the best. Spectacular views over Lake Mead. Sunsets are just amazing. The sites are level, and all facilities work well. We had to pay for wi-fi as our Verizon didn't work well. Lots of hiking trails, and the Valley of Fire State Park not too far away. We extended our stay; we just couldn't drag ourselves away! We camped at Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

There are no hook ups here, toilets only. Nightly rate is $10, $5 with Golden Age pass. Very nice landscaping in the campground. Great low cost alternative to Las Vegas area, but it is only 10 miles to Boulder Hwy which will take you to the downtown area of Vegas. This campground does not take reservations, we had no trouble finding a site on a Saturday morning. There is also a couple of other campgrounds with the NRA, Boulder campground is also no hookups and much larger. We drove through with our car. Woodall's had said it had a 30' limit, not so. Lots of rigs pushing 40' or so in it. Also $10 / $5 a night. This one is next to the Lake Mead Village which has hookups and has been reviewed before, see Boulder City. We camped at Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground in a Motorhome.
