Have stayed here numerous times, and still a good choice for a short stay passing through. Sites are very close to each other . . .not much room for any "patio" space. Good utilities. Lousy cable, wouldn't even bother trying. Internet not at all reliable at the sites. Very friendly checkin and service folks. Nice short distance to Sam's Town with shopping across the street. A bit of city noise, but that's the Boulder Highway. Nice expanded dog park area, but is starting to look pretty ragged . . . and folks still don't clean up very well. Overall still a good choice for overnight or short stays. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times. We like it because of the proximity to the Sam's Town Casino. We get a pull-thru and leave our truck hooked up if we only plan a one night stay. We walk to the casino and enjoy the buffet and love the Angry Butcher. The park is large and clean. The sites are those weird back to back and face to face according to the hookups, and we don't really care for that. We would definitely try for one of the end sites of the row if we planned to stay for more than a day or two. The pool is in an enclosure that is sort of claustrophobic, but it is clean. Bathrooms and showers are clean. We didn't use the laundry. There is a lot of noise from the busy Boulder Blvd. and overflying aircraft and helicopters. Also a lot of sirens. The staff all seem very nice and helpful. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Wifi kept dropping out. Sites are gravel and mainly level. There are a variety of sites available. Do not care for opposing sites that have your door facing your very close neighbor. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Wifi very slow. Had to turn it off and use my 4G, which was 5 times faster. Cable TV was "snowy". Park is very close to Nellis Blvd which is a very busy and noisy street all night long. If you are are light sleeper, bring your ear plugs. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Great park. Staff very accomadating and helpful. Nice General Store on premises. Site was fairly level and clean. Some sites have a little shade but most are in the open. Utilities are easy to hook up. Water connection was very close to sewer cap. Internet was acceptable and cable TV was barely watchable. But then you are at Sam's Town so you probably wouldn't use either very much. Bathrooms were clean and showers worked well. Went to the pool and was disappointed with the cleanliness..Scum ring was terrible and pool deck was dirty. It appeared there was an uninvited fully clothed individual who just wallowed in the hot tub. Didn't even try to use the hot tub after seeing that. KOA probably needs to improve their security of the pool area. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Close sites, some long term tenants, not a whole lot of ambiance but hey, they want you in Sam's Town gambling. Sam's Town has it all!!! The RV Park is above average. Couldn't get cable TV hook-up to work though. Pool and hot tub area is dated. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Sites were very close together. The hookup pedestal was shared with the camper next to us and their sewer hose was under our fresh water faucet. Fortunately they did not unhook while we were there so it wasn't a problem but it made us uncomfortable to have that type setup. This was our first visit to Vegas so we got to see the Sam's Town Casino as well as drive the Strip but we also used the location to visit Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and Valley of Fire. Typical Las Vegas park; noisy and busy, but location was great for venturing out around the Vegas area. Pull through spot was good, all hookups were great, water pressure was very high. Park had four fenced dog areas. Office strangely only open until 4pm each day. Free Sam's Town shuttle to the strip was appreciated. Drinks were affordable at the Ram's Head bar, the water show at Mystic Falls was entertaining. The laundry was disappointing, very expensive and out of order machines were not marked, so lost some money without even gambling! Not much shade, but it was not overly hot while we were there. It was VERY VERY dusty, even though roads in park were paved. We reserved a "patio site" in the Nellis section of the park, but there was neither a patio nor a picnic table. We are not gamblers, and though we stayed a week, did not gamble at all We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

MUST SEES: Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (aka Mount Charleston). These scenic attractions are far and away more pleasurable than Las Vegas itself. Although, we did see Elvis in Walgreen's on his scooter.

Reasonably priced KOA. Reservation phoned in; quick check in. Lotsa doggie walks and poop stations; good dog run. Hookups/no problem. WiFi occasionally kicking one off. Verizon 4G with good reception. Cable reception somewhat clear; watched March Madness in RV and In Casino; short walk. Walmart right across busy street. Quiet, clean, friendly. One of RV parks workers stopped by in his golf cart and gave our dog treats. Variety of sites. If one reserves ahead of time, ask for one near perimeter as often grassed and trees; meaning a small yard! Otherwise typical parking lot site; plenty of room for slide outs. For first timers, be watchful and enter from left turn lane directly across from Rv entrance OR if your rig is able to do the U turn at Harmon; 4 lanes. Sites are extremely close together, literally inches from your neighbors slide-out and no place to park vehicles but in the road. Not enough space for everyone to park their vehicle in front of their rigs. Very loud from traffic noise, sirens, etc. Very confusing when setting up reservations I thought I was booking the KOA on the south side of Sam's. Unless you know there are 2 parks, you wouldn't know any different. I booked from one site and no mention of which park I was in on the confirmation. I though Nellis was one of the loops, didn't know it was a whole different park. Very expensive for what you get here. No gate on the front entrance. We had to back down the road from the office to get to our site. Utilities worked fine, no trees so satellite coverage was good, WIFI was good. We definitely would not stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We used the KOA at Sam's Town as a base for our trip to Vegas to watch our granddaughter play in a softball tournament at Mandalay Bay. Check in was easy, and we found our pull-thru site easily. The spaces are tight and there isn't really any room if you are planning on setting up tables or chairs outside, but for our purposes it was perfect. The location of the campground is close to shopping, casinos and restaurants and easy access to the strip, and far away from the crazy Vegas traffic on the strip. We would definitely stay there again if we needed a campground in Las Vegas. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Stayed four nights for a family get together. Weather was frigid. Park is typical of Las Vegas RV parks: a big parking lot with full hookups.

Laundry room was getting new washers soon, so only 4 were working. At a park this size that isn't very many.

Hookups worked well and we reserved a site near grass so our dogs could be more accommodated. That worked out well.

Have stayed before in the summer when it was really hot. When is it good weather here? Would stay again if in Vegas. Price reflects a stay 4 nights get one free discount. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We were robbed at the campground, so no matter how reasonable it is and how good the amenities were, our stay was disastrous. It is located in a seedy area of town. On the drive to this location there are many homeless living on the street. There is no gate or security provided. I would NOT STAY there again. WIFI was not existent. There is a gated campground right next door. We will try that one next. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate is based on the KOA 10% discount and a Sam's Town players card deal of four free nights. If you receive comped rooms at the hotel, you can have the front desk coordinate to get the free nights at the RV park instead. This is our second time staying here and it is fine for our purposes. The sites are a bit close together and are the alternating direction sites so your door opens up to the door of your next door neighbor. The park is neat and tidy and the workers are very helpful. You can walk to Sam's Town and the park feels very safe and secure even though it is right off of a sketchy section of Boulder Highway. There was always security parked at the entrance at night. We will definitely stay here again. Something to know: there are actually two parks here. We like what is called the "South" park. It is right off of Boulder Highway while the other park is off of Nellis Blvd. While the Nellis location probably has more trees, the South park is newer and closer to walk to the casino. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
