As other reviews have said, this park is attached to the Carson Valley Casino and is a very clean older park. The roadways and sites are all asphalt paved, but most of the sites are humped and leveling can be a slight challenge. The major drawback to this park is the interior roads are very, very tight and with people parking in front of their RVs maneuvering can be tricky. We had to have one person move a car just to make a corner. In spite of the big rig access, this park is not big rig friendly. We could barely make it in a 40' motorhome, which then totally filled the site front to back. For smaller rigs this is a good spot but I wouldn't recommend it for larger rigs, either motorhome or trailer. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park. Green grass, shade and picnic tables. Close spaces. Laundry facilities are good. For a dollar the driers run 60 mins. Washers are $1:50 for 28 mins. Don't leave anything on grass you don't want wet. They water at 1 a.m. every day and they cut the grass on Weds and/0r Thurs. Once a month on a Sunday (call for schedule) there is a ladies Texas Hold'em tournament. $40 buy in. Food satisfactory but don't recommend the scramble eggs they are powdered and the biscuits are dry and crumbly. Also if you can try to get a space in back (you can ask but they don't guarantee it) the spaces up front are noisy. They are next to the main parking and semis park there over night. If your a light sleeper you'll hear them pulling in late and leaving early. And you'll hear their refrigeration. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice, quiet, small campground on Casino property. Easy registration at kiosk. I am a seasoned RVer and I tried and tried but I could not get my 29ft fifth wheel into my assigned spot (#4), which is strange because when making reservations they asked me what size my RV was, they should have known it would not fit, but this may have been due to my tow vehicle being a long bed crewcab Ford F250. They allowed me to change spots to a pull through which was very nice, but charged me extra. Maneuvering your RV can be very challenging at this park. I was concerned that I would not be able to get out of my pull through spot (#53) because my neighbors truck was parked too close to me. Leaving at 5 am I ended up backing into the empty spot behind me to get out. If all the camp spots were full I would not have been able to pull out without asking someone to move, ugh. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

My first review of this park. This web site is usually dead on but not this time. We had a back-in at the rear of the park. Very, very tight. Just a blacktop parking lot. The proverbial pass the Poupon with your neighbor. Slides very close to neighbor. Other sites may be OK but we could not wait to get out of there. Terrific park ten miles down the road. If you want easy access to a casino it might be the place for you. Did not go to casino. Would not go back. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice smaller campground next to the casino. Doggy friendly, allowing small pens and plenty of shade and grass. Nice area to park while you wait for space available. You pull up to the kiosk and call into the main lobby for site number. Very nice and friendly. Restrooms and laundry are very clean and nice.

The park is small and a bit tight to navigate, but is doable. Recommend unhitching a tow car. Pull thrus look a bit short for longer motorhomes (>34ft) or fifth wheels. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stay here every year for about 3 total weeks on and off. We just love the area and consider it home away from home in summer. So pretty looking to west with view of Sierra's. Sites all have lawn and asphalt for parking rigs. Full hook ups with cable and good wi fi. Access to pool and Jacuzzis as well as exercise gym in adjoining hotel. Security patrols area and we have never had any negative activity in the park. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pricey for what you get. Tight spaces. Clean park. Check in process is rather inconvenient. Noticed another poster said wifi good. We found in nonexistent. Had to use my data. Also, sight was pull thru but not long enough to leave toad hooked up to 35' motorhome. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here several times and staff is always very helpful. Had to change site from our reservation but was only charged the 30 amp fee anyway. Sites are very short; they are wide enough and there is shade and grass. All has always been clean and well kept. Dog area is rather small but adequate. Can walk to lots of things in town. First of all let me say I like this campground. We usually stop by here two days heading home from a trip. But I must say their check in, while it appears to be simple, can become very convoluted. First of all you check-in at the hotel basement area. The gentleman at the counter has no idea what an RV is and could possibly not know what the RV park is but does not want to let you in until 3 o'clock until it's been cleaned (kind of like a hotel room) so you proceed to explain to him that there's no cleanup and if there is we got a bigger problem than me parking there. We might have to call hazmat (A California term may not even be available in Nevada), but anyway after I explain to him how RVs leave somewhat early and that sites might be available, then he concedes that yes if your spot is available you can park there, very frustrating when you're dealing with people that are not familiar with the RV lifestyle. We did finally get in and during all the confusion we forgot to show them our Good Sam discount card and did not get the discount and actually laughed and discovered it after we got down the road, did not dare try to call back and explain the situation; just said you know what that's the way it goes. We've stayed at this park several times over the years and always been pleased with how well kept up It is, it is tight maneuvering through the park so better to unhook out in the parking lot save yourself some grief and possibly a marriage!! But overall we will continue to stay there. Just enjoy the ride and don't sweat the minor stuff; it's a good place to camp. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is basically a rv park in a paved parking lot with lots of trees. Most of the sites are narrow and a lot of the big rigs took up every inch. The park is next to the Carson Valley Inn Casino and its cafes however there is no direct and easy way to enter the casino or cafes. True, the check in involves setting up first in the site you were assigned when reserving the site then going into the hotel to the front desk to check in and get passwords, card keys, etc. Not a problem as we just went on in for dinner at Katie's once we got checked in. There was noise from the nearby very busy highway./ There is no security at all here so be aware of that. Anyone can walk in off the street or over from the large parking lots for the casino. The laundry is in the same building as the restrooms. Restrooms require a card key for entry. Shower stalls had locking doors which we prefer. The CATV system worked well as did the wifi. We would return here. Unsure of site number. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Basque food at JT's was exceptional. Be careful of portion sizes.
Walmart is about 4 miles to the west. Smith's grocery in the vicinity of Walmart.
Target is to the east about 10 miles.
Its very easy to get up to Lake Tahoe from this town. The Kingsbury Grade is a wonderfully scenic and steep drive up over the mountains to reach Lake Tahoe.
All the mountains to the west of town are just beautiful to see from the town.

If you can get the "right" site for length, this works very well. The sites are clean, neat, and even have some grass. Having the casino across the parking lot can be a bonus or bane depending upon your perspective. There is a fuel station right at the park exit which is very helpful. The off-leash dog run is small but better than nothing. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night on our way to the Oregon coast. Sites are too short to leave toad attached, you must disconnect. Also turning radius to exit was too tight; you have to back up to get the right angle to leave. Again make sure toad is disconnected. All this trouble could have been avoided if when making reservations you are told to disconnect toad before going to your space and when leaving. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.
