We had driven past this park many times and seen it very full. We decided to try it out and see if it was really that much fun! There is no faulting the facility. Sites have close to level concrete runner pads that require little or no leveling. The park was spotlessly clean and had a handy store and very friendly and helpful employees. While we were there off season, there is a good looking pool (closed in winter), dog runs, rec rooms, etc. Would be a great park to turn the kids loose in. The only bad is the proximity to highway 395. The park sits by a section of 65MPH+ road and the mountains on the far side of the road only seem to make things louder by reflecting the noise. This is one of the noisiest campgrounds we ever stayed in. I imagine summer would be better if you were camping with your AC running to mask the noise but in cooler weather, it's bad. Trucks would hit the 'rumble strips' on the edge of the road and make a racket. I'd love to give this a 10 rating but can't. There is little shade that would make AC imperative in the summer. The only reason I stay at this park is because it takes Passport America and there are times in the past that I had to use it because of convenience but no more. The park is noisy, has no shade and the wind blows through there at minimum of 40 miles an hour. Look, they do have some very nice amenities but not enough for me to stay there. Like I said if it was not for Passport America I would not stay there, there are so many other options in the area. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Second time we stayed here. First was about two years ago. It was OK but site wasn't long enough. This time we specifically told them we have a 38 foot long travel trailer and our truck and we didn't want to unhook for the overnight stay. When we arrived they tried to put us in a 40 foot space. When we pointed out the size of our rig they moved us to what they claim was 70 feet long long site, it is if you want 5 or 6 feet hanging in the road. Site was cement and gravel with a small tree and picnic bench. WIFI did not work, called office and they said they were going to send someone over to trouble shoot. He never showed up. When we hooked up the cable it didn't work, again called office. Then they tell us "Oh did you hook up the box? That requires a $75 deposit". They didn't mention that at check-in. I have the Rhino sewer line and could not screw in the adapter because they recessed the drain pipe in cement. They did provide some large rocks to hold down the sewer line. Over all very disappointed. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Occasionally we have to stay here but i only stay here when PA discount applies (starts Oct. 1st). This time we got the site right along Hwy 395, traffic noise was an issue along with the dust from the afternoon winds. The cable is free but a office person has to hook it up to the back of your TV with a refundable 75 dollar deposit (we passed on this). I will try to stay in other parks during the summer, but when the PA discount is in effect we will stay here. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Nice, spacious park. Mostly gravel spaces. Verizon cell and air-card worked well. We made reservations for a week and received an email showing the rate. Charged us more when we arrived. They corrected it to the lower rate when asked. We stayed an extra three days waiting for our mail to arrive when it had already arrived and they had put it in the wrong box. This park is clean and well maintained. The sites are level concrete pull-throughs with large gravel areas and picnic tables. Very few trees on the premises. Personally, we like the lack of trees and grassy areas. No dust or mud problems. The lack of park cable is a downer and the Wi-Fi is quite slow unless you are at the front office area. We would stay here again. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Overall, this is a good park when traveling on US 395 through NV. All rock (not small gravel) sites were not appealing, and lack of shade made it uncomfortable in the afternoons. The wind blew every afternoon we stayed there, and without trees, there was no shelter. Laundry room and shower rooms were clean. We did not use the shower rooms, as security is always a problem when shower stalls only have a curtain, and no way to lock the door for individual safety. This might not be a problem for men, but women would appreciate a locked shower door! Small dog areas, with only dirt, but we were able to walk dog outside of park area for more exercise. Several long term residents, some that need to clean up their site, with dogs left tied up outside that barked when anyone walked by. Also, noticed several old RV's stored, or abandoned ? in spaces on the monthly section of the park. Would not recommend this park as a destination park, but is definitely good for a short stay when visiting the Carson Valley area. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

A first-class park and staff. Appealing entrance behind huge RV-friendly gas station. Asphalt roads, level concrete pads, and gravel for toads. Excellent laundry & bathrooms. Cleaning lady is everywhere: non-stop and friendly. Turning radius a little tight for big rigs. Just wished for shade trees. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $20.00
We chose this park because they accept Passport America, and the daily rate reflects that discount....the Passport America price is actually $19.98 plus tax per day. A very nicely maintained park right next to US HWY 395, but there is not much traffic at night, so it was not an issue. Staff was friendly, fast and helpful. We were led to our 70 foot long pull through site, and the person made sure our 62 feet of motorhome and trailer were parked properly within the site before leaving. We will stay here again. Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $29.00
We stayed here in April 2013 (monthly) and for a week in May 2013. We were going to stay again in September but they would not honor the internet price they had advertized. In May, the internet rate was listed as $165/week. In September, it was the same. We were told both times that the rate had JUST increased. We fell for it in May and paid it. We didn't stay there in September because they were aware of the discrepancy in May and didn't fix it. We felt that was deceptive. Too bad, because the place meets our basic needs when we visit relatives in the area several times per year. Pros: quiet, close to Carson City, full time residents are friendly don't have lots of junk spread around their sites. They keep it pretty clean. Cons: no shade, very windy (area in general), staff not knowledgeable about which sites are appropriate for RVs with slides. If you stay here, visually confirm that the site will be ok for your vehicle. Price discrepancy we thought sloppy at best and deceptive at worst. We will not be staying here again. Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $41.00
The rate included all taxes with a Good Sam discount. First of all this is not my first choice for camping in the area but since the others were booked we ended up here. The site we were given had electrical problems and after three days of surge protector kicking power off they finally ackowledged they had a problem and quit blaming it on the coaches on both sides of us and had a electrician there to fix it the day we were leaving. I can say this; they did give us three days free out of seven for our discomfort. I have a problem with RV Parks that nickel and dime you for cable TV and a pet when they already are charging you what appears to be too much in the first place. This park does have some nice amenities as previously mentioned but not enough for us to come back with the issues we had to deal with. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $34.00
Keep in mind you're in NV; there is no grass or shade at this campground. Most sites are pull-through with paved runners for parking, the other areas are all river rock, no dust. All hookups are in the rear of the site. Nice pool, laundry, showers and restrooms. The staff are very friendly and the store is well stocked and clean. They sell gas and diesel and the price is good. They allow rig washing for a small charge. Wi-Fi was great most of the time. I would have rated this campground higher except for the fact they allow campfires and there is always a wind that will blow smoke on you if a campfire close by is burning. I feel the sites are way too small for allowing campfires. Great area to see Tahoe, Virginia City and Reno from. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Don't pay for TV, you have good reception on your antenna. Good free Wi-Fi. If you ask you get a fire pit. Beautiful half open swimming pool, nice views. Great place to visit Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains. You don't hear the traffic noise even though the road is just next to the campground. They have the cheapest diesel we had for a long time, just at the entrance. Sites are on small concrete slabs. When you drive a big rig it is a little difficult to park but they escort you to the site and help you with everything. Friendly and helpful people. We will come back. River rock sites with concrete strip to park on. No dust during windy days. Staff is very nice. Pool and spa are covered with roof. Bathrooms are clean but hot and humid. Close to all shopping. Much closer to Carson City than to Minden. Wi-Fi spotty, got better reception on phone hot spot. Some traffic noise. We will stay here again. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

This park is a large resort. It has easy access from US 395, with fuel and supplies available. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The sites are all pull through, large, level, and gravel. The park has a two large clean laundry rooms, planned activities, and very good WiFi unless you use Vista platform computers. It is a very nice place to stay while visiting Virginia City, Carson, and Lake Tahoe. We would stay here again in our fifth-wheel. We camped at Silver City Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
