This was on my wife's wish list of destinations. As this was a close side trip on our way through Nevada, decided to take a chance and spend the night. So happy we did. Such an eclectic, odd and fun place to stop. The RV sites are a bit difficult to discern, 4 sites lined up between the mobile homes used for guest rooms. But the sites are level, clean, good 30 amp power and water. Only one site with sewer. Recommend arriving with empty waste tanks. We had an enjoyable dinner then breakfast in the diner, meeting a wide range of people from locals to visitors from the UK. Very quiet and relaxing with miles of high desert to walk the dogs. One of the few places I was able to stand in the middle of the highway for an extended period taking sunset photos. If ever in the area again will certainly stop by. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Not really much to do here. Driving to one of the Area 51 gates and watching the cameras track your movements seems quite popular.

This was a must stop destination. The whole Area 51 was on my husbands bucket list which we actually did the 700 mile detour to stay here. Nothing fancy water /electric only they did offer a shower if needed as out hot water heater was down. Stayed 2 nights talked with one of the locals for a interesting view of living in the middle of no where. Thoroughly enjoyed the down time to just sit and watch the sky and local landscaped. Will be going again as a stop over when we do the east to west and back again trip in 2 years. Very friendly people and everyone has a story. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Very basic campground. Only 4 hook-up sites, on a fairly level gravel surface. We had a 30 amp site that was sufficient to keep the A/C and microwave and freezer running at the same time. Water is at each site, but no sewer. Only two trees to share between the four sites, one need to be trimmed. Management said it's on the list of things to do and they were very friendly, as are the locals. We were the only RV here.

Several people stayed in the A-Lee-Inn, which surrounds the RV area.

We would stay here again, if we were ever in the area, which isn't very likely considering how remote it is. It's just neat to say you've been there, done that. Hey, it's Area 51! We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a very, (very) small "town." Not much here to see other than the Area 51 back gate. Which is down a well maintained gravel road, that's very easy to get to. But, it looks more like a movie set than a military installation.

We originally booked our reservation for a electric/water hookup site. However we received a call that due to the size of our 5th wheel (38 feet with four slideouts) we were told that we could not be accommodated in the hookup site. We were given the option to boondock (first come, first serve) for the night in their parking lot. We really wanted to come here so we took a chance and boondocked for one night. It worked out great. We were the only RV boondocking but did have 3 other groups in our near vicinity who were tent camping. It was hot so we used our generators to run our A/C so we could sleep at night. It was a great experience. We got to drive out to Groom Lake Area 51 Boundary and the Back Gate to Area 51 with the guard shack (that one is closer to Little Ale'Inn than the Groom Lake Gate). We loved doing this. Nothing beats seeing a sunset over the Nevada desert and being on the ET Hwy out in the middle of nowhere. The Nevada skies at night are something that everyone should experience as well. If you get the chance you need to stop at this place for a night! Another mention was that our site did have a picnic table and fire ring. We never used the ring as it was too hot to have a fire. The tent campers did build a fire though.

They do have power/water available for a $15 fee (reservations recommended) but only if you are in a RV that does not have any necessary slideouts that need to be extended. This did not work for us. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Fifth Wheel.

Take a trip to Area 51 boundaries, Black Mailbox and go inside the Little Ale'Inn. We bought lots of souvenirs here!

Nothing fancy but decent spot - very pleasant management and lots of sky and stars. I would stop again - most remote place you could imagine. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a pretty basic site with electric (15A only), water, but no sewer. I saw only three RV sites, but there could be more in back or dry camping in the front parking area, perhaps. Restaurant has basic food items and was satisfactory except the pecan pie was excellent. No tables, no fire pits. Good place for overnight because Ratchel is so remote. Friendly staff and interesting 'alien' souvenirs. Area 51 is nearby, but you need a vehicle, staff told me not to take the RV down the dirt roads as there was no turnaround space. We stayed for three nights while geocaching in the area. As previous reviewer indicated, electric hook-up is 2 15-amp plugs. There is no sewer dump; owner had to close it after very expensive repairs to her septic system. Can't imagine where the 30 sites indicated are. We parked right behind the restaurant in one of 3 or 4 pull-through sites with trees on either side, not large enough for big rigs. Dry camping is also available. The restaurant is open 8 to 8 and the food is good, home style cooking. Makes a great base for exploring the area, but it's very rustic. Presently there is no gas station in town (none between Ash Springs and Tonopah) so plan accordingly. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Needed a place to stay while geocaching in the area and this was central to what I needed. Nothing fancy just the basic hook ups. It was empty so I got the site with the sewer hookup. It was all I needed and for a decent price. I would stay here again for a short stay. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

People in the bar were very friendly. The RV sites are some of the worst I have seen. They told us they had 30 amp service but it turns out it was 2 15 amp plug-ins. They did show me 2 50 amp plug-ins, but after checking with my meter, it turned out they had an open ground on both of them. We opted for the 15 amp site and ran another 15 amp cord through the window so we could use a couple of electric things. As I said, nice people, crappy park. Won't stay here again when passing through. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for three nights in November. We had hookups except for sewer and also were amazed to have Wi-Fi! More than good value in the middle of nowhere! Recommend this park for self contained units. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Fifth Wheel.

Considering the price, it's a decent place to stay as long as you're a self contained RV. There's only 3 RV sites and only 1 has a sewer connection. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good. The staff are quite friendly. We stayed here 3 days while geocaching in the area. Would stay here again. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Just 15 amp power. The site next to me was empty and the locals used it as a road: trucks and ATV`s were going by me at 40mph just 10 ft away. Dogs were running loose and had dog do-do around my site. Glad I am only staying overnight. The second worst campground I ever stayed at. Did not feel safe here. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.

Stopped at Rachel, NV overnight en route to Cathedral Gorge State Park. there was three hookup sites (power and water (15 amps)). No TV or radio reception, if cable is there, it was not available . Satellite radio and tv is the only option. The power was fine the water we had to open the lid to a small container and after we dug away the insulation and dirt we found the water faucet which worked. We used our fresh water for water. It is quiet there. The young lady at the Aleinn Inn was nice and helpful. The people that live there are nice and they don't bother you. The inn is a restaurant, bar and gift store in one, it the only business in town. you can dry camp for free anywhere as long as it not on a street or the parking lot and there is lot of anywhere to choose from. If you need fuel, food or supplies get from Tonopah, NV. 120 miles west or Ash Spring, NV 60 miles east. If you into off-roading and/or UFO watching THIS IS THE PLACE. Groom Lake(Area 51) is 23 miles SSE. The people at the Inn can help you out there. Few stop and camp, some stop and take pictures, most just drive on by. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Fifth Wheel.

The "campground" in a parking area behind the tavern. Everything there seemed extremely sketchy, from the folks staying in the "Inn" to the bartender. Although it was interesting as a tourist spot, we had planned on camping here and opted to drive another 150 miles to the next campground to avoid staying here. We did have lunch inside. The restrooms were gross. My Pepsi was served in the can, no glass. My chips were served in the bag. My sandwich was served on a styrofoam plate. Even the alien paraphernalia was not too impressive. The souvenirs were cool but pricey. The staff was good at giving directions to those who wanted to drive up to the gates at Area 51. We camped at Little A'le'Inn in a Motorhome.
