They could easily tack "resort" onto their name and it would be very appropriate. It was easy to find using Lat/Lon on the GPS. They have a porte cohere with two lanes for check-in. The check-in staff is friendly and efficient and you are led to your site by other staff members. All roads are asphalt and the sites are concrete. There is artificial grass between every sight that actually looks like real grass and at least one tree between each site. The sites are long enough to accommodate a 45' rig, and there is a parking space next to the site for your towed vehicle. There are many staff members who patrol the park in golf carts providing security, cleaning and assistance to guests as needed. There are three bath houses with restrooms and three pet areas with doggie bags. Our neighbor told us the club house has facilities for guests to cook meals and all they ask is that the guest cleans up after themselves. There is a store in the club house as well. There is no shortage of shopping within 1 mile of the park, and of course, casinos everywhere. This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in and would definitely return. We were here over the 4th of July weekend and the park was full, but there is so much to do in the area it didn't seem crowded. One note - the initial description of this park states there are 383 sites. While there is a site numbered 383, they have a very interesting numbering scheme and there are actually only 200 sites. I'd also recommend accessing the park by getting off I-80 at McCarran rather than Sparks Avenue as the Sparks Avenue route will take you through two traffic circles with traffic joining from four directions. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Many nice casinos, great shopping, great dining. Recommend a Google search of best restaurants in Reno. Reno is the home of a minor league baseball team and well worth the time to enjoy a game if they are playing a home game.

This park has its pluses & minuses.

On the plus side: Extremely clean grounds, restrooms & "dog parks." Convenient to the freeway, shopping & entertainment. Check in is easy and quick. Staff shows you to your site and helps you park.

On the minus side: WiFi is sketchy. The "dog park" is really a small toilet area where dogs go to relieve themselves, not to play or socialize. No real grass anywhere. Each space has a patch of AstroTurf lawn. The planted areas are scrubs and gravel. Staff is a little too "big brother." If your dog pees on a bush while walking to the dog area, you'll hear about it. If you drive more than 5 mph, you'll get a talking to. If your kids play too hard, they'll be chastised. If your guest parks in an empty spot for even a few minutes, you'll get a phone call telling you to move.

So, if you want clean facilities, don't mind fake grass and lots of asphalt and if you don't mind following every small rule to the tee, and being watched constantly, this is your place. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

So far this is up there on my list as being a great resort! Clean. A plus in my book. Check in was easy and fast. They escort you to your site and assist you to where the hook ups are. Wifi worked great and cable has plenty of channels. Site clean and yes its turf between sites which makes it look pretty. No I don't have any dogs but there is a dog run area. Love the idea of the picnic table. Has a area designated for your grill that's steel so we (Campers) don't mess up the table. The pool and spa is open till 12! Love that, after going into Reno to gambling!

We had a pull thru site which was long enough for the tow to stay attached to the coach and a space for the car.

Water pressure is good as well. They have security all night long which is great.

If you are traveling to the west coast or traveling to the east, this is a must stop. Not to far from Downtown Reno about 8 miles. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Exceptionally clean park, escort to site, friendly staff. FHU 50 amp back in site, WIFI was excellent. All facilities, i.e. laundromat, rest rooms, pool, etc. were very well maintained. Highly recommend this park. Even the picnic tables have a portion fitted with a metal shield so that you can put your BBQ grill on it. Booked 3 nights, stayed for 5. We would return in the future. Caution, this area often gets high wind gusts so we would not recommend that you leave your awning unattended particularly in the afternoon. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. It is conveniently located off I80 with easy access. Sites are pull thru or back in with full services, including cable and wi-fi. The laundry facilities are spotless as is the small pool & hot tub. We hosted an RV rally here on a previous visit and the clubhouse and kitchen area are also very nice. They also have a series of gas bbq's that are available for visitors to use. Garbage cans are scattered around the park and there is also recycling!

As others have noted each site contains a yard of astro-turf. We do not currently travel with a pet so do not have the concerns about this that others do. Our only issue is the location of the trees that are planted at each site. This are towards the front and since this is where our roof mounted satellite dish it they prevent us from getting a signal through DirecTV. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Everyone must visit Scheels at least once, if for no other reason than to check out the animatronic Presidents and the indoor Ferris Wheel. We also really enjoy the pizza at Grimaldis which is located just west of Scheels.

We stay here whenever we are up this way. This is a lovely park, very clean, with long sites. That being said, if you have a 5th wheel, don't let them put you in space 350. It is a very tight turn, and you end up on their astro turf, which is a major no, no. I ended up driving over a whole corner of it because there is also a tree and a post in the way. Other sites are great, and very easy to get into. Very quiet with Target, gasoline, and food nearby. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We usually stay at an RV Park in Verdi, but they were full. Almost had to cancel the trip, but then remembered Sparks Marina getting such good reviews, so made a reservation for the long Father's Day weekend. (The fact that they had space, when others did not, should have been my first clue).

Arrived, checked in, very efficiently took my money, and went to site. Like everyone says, astro turf, little tree, sort of an RV Levittown. Anyway, it wasn't long before the "doggie gestapo" showed up, to inform us that the astro turf was expensive, and that the dogs should be walked to the dog walk. We stayed, but were not happy, as our dogs did not appreciate the astro turf. Next time, will not be here. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were able to get into the park due to a cancellation. Check in was a breeze and they escorted us to a site. The park is clean and well maintained, outside service staff is nice. The grass is all artificial turf throughout the park.

We were assigned a space that has a BIG electrical box and we asked to be moved after being there a couple of days. Were told they didn't have room even though there were spaces almost nightly. We didn't use the pool - it is small and with the park being near full, was always full of people.

We would never go back to this park as we had to check out early and were informed they don't do refunds. I rated the bad service on the office staff, one lady in particular who would not work with us on anything we requested. The dog runs are nice and clean here but can be quite a distance from your space. So if you can't walk far request a site near a dog run. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is perfect. Blacktop, concrete, or artificial turf. 41 channels on the TV. Excellent dog run. The dog areas are very nicely landscaped and maintained, but there are always those that still do not pick up after their pets. Only complaint is not the park's fault. Some dog owners let their dogs run wild while in the dog run. If you have a small dog, and they turn their large dogs loose, it can become a problem. Staff is very friendly and helpful. As the site trees mature, more shade will be available. We highly recommend this park. You will not be disappointed. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

First, the good. It's a beautiful park, for being near the city. Scrupulously maintained. Price is a tad high; we paid almost $300/week, including the $35 tax.

The bad: they have astroturf outside each site. Yes, it's very nice, looks great, nice to walk on, etc. However, they're (understandably) very concerned about dogs peeing on it. To accomodate the dogs, they have 3 nice dog runs, so each one is pretty close no matter where you are in the park. And that sounds fine. But it means that when my dog is outside she has to be in my lap or in her dog bed, with me constantly watching to be sure she doesn't get onto the astroturf and pee. The general manager came by and, politely, explained that she'd just seen Nikki pee, and why that harms the astroturf, and to please use the dog runs. So now I have to carefully monitor her to keep her off the astroturf. And if she whines a bit I have to decide whether she just wants to go sniff a bit, or if she has to go. So we walk to the dog run, she didn't have to go after all, and we go back to the coach and wait for the next time.

A better solution would be to have an area of the park redone with gravel instead of the astroturf for dog owners who don't want to keep their dogs restricted to a dog bed while outside, nor hassle with constant, sometimes fruitless, trips to the dog run. We were planning on staying two weeks, but we'll move on after the one week that we've already paid for.

Also, oddly enough, you cannot receive normal mail here. So if your grandchild wants to mail a mother's day card to grandma....nope...not at this park. Packages are ok, but not regular mail. The office clerk couldn't explain the logic; she suggested I talk to Management.

We won't be back. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have never given a 10 rating, but this park deserves it. Very very well maintained. Great staff from front office to those managing the grounds. Nice pool, jacuzzi, bbqs, propane, 3 great dog parks, quiet, well organised from time of arrival to your entire stay. Rules are enforced, dogs on leashes, etc. Have a 40 foot with toad and plenty of room. Great connections and sewer spot, and picnic tables. Mail forwarded without problems, had Fedex and UPS packages no problem. No clutter you see from long time residents. So much nearby. We will stay here again and again. The previous review summed up our stay perfectly. Super place in all respects except the astro turf. Just too difficult to keep dog from peeing on it. And our dog can't hold her bladder all night so her 4 a.m. pee means me dressing, gabbing flashlight and carrying her to pet run. There must be a better way. Otherwise, a beautiful park, nicely landscaped, nice level asphalt pads, good utilities, nice clean restrooms and good WiFi. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Sparks Marina before and came back because we like the area. The park can be a little odd, in that there is no real grass in the park. All of their sites have a grass areas between them, but it is all Astro Turf. It is in good repair, and the park keeps it clean by constant raking, sweeping, and they even run a lawn mower over it to suck up any loose debris that falls on it. Because it's astro turf though, they don't want any animals reliving themselves on it. Which can be kind of a struggle to keep rover from peeing as soon as they hit the door. There are 2 dog runs to use, if you can get that far before the "accident". They do have handicapped facilities, and offer free WiFi, for email browsing primarily. The sites are average size so you can get an awning out, but not a lot of extra room. There is an additional parking area next to the rig to put your toad or tow vehicle. We paid $43 with Good Sam discount. There is a nice marina across from the park where sail boats and paddle boarders play, and there is a 1 ½ mile walking/jogging path around the lake. There is also a big off leash pet area at the marina that is on the lake as well, so if your pooch is a water lover, they will be in heaven. There is a pool and hot tub (which I used) and enjoyed immensely. I can recommend this park for visiting the Reno/Sparks area. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here often and keep coming back. Staff is very friendly and helpful, park is very clean. I'm not a big fan of artificial turf and concrete but it sure keeps things well maintained and neat looking. We enjoy parking and running off in all directions and this is a good place to do that. Because the staff keeps an eye on things, you don't have pets off leash or garbage piling up anywhere. We enjoy our stays here. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.
