The staff was very friendly. This park is next to a small casino. Casinos aren't my thing but the park was great. They also give you a 2 for 1 coupon for their restaurant which was decent. Even though it is right off I-80, the noise isn't bad. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Lots of room to walk dogs on the trails. Verizon coverage is excellent. They also have park wi-fi which works better than any park I've stayed in. No fire pits at campsites is my only complaint. The sites are blacktop with for picnic table. - Susan C.
Very nice park the first time we've ever stayed here. I've passed this park up going out of Reno so many times this time I thought we'd spend a week there just to see what it was like and we were pleasantly surprised. The rate we paid was for a weekly rate. I like this park because it has a nice view of the surrounding mountains the traffic noise from I 80 does not seem to be a problem. It's close enough to Reno if you want to go into Reno not a problem. The restaurant out front has decent food and is very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again. - monaco cruiser
Nice campground behind the small casino. Friendly staff. Wi-Fi not working well but waiting to be fixed. Good food deals at the restaurant at the casino. Short distance to Reno. - JohnCarolP
The park changed hands 6 months ago and they are working on repairing years of deferred maintenance. I was told that there were problems with the water, power, or sewer in over 80% of the sites but most have been corrected. The restroom is available with a keypad 24 hours when the office is closed. The staff was much friendlier than in the past and was concerned that we had a good experience. Boom Town security does patrol the park regularly and is available on call 24 hours. The looks of this bare bones park has changed little over the 8 years when we stay in September but we do not use it as a destination park. The easy access and distance from the noise of I-80 works for our needs. - 34ssJayco
Sites pretty ancient, with old hookups. One toilet and shower (one room with a stall and shower) and same for women (one room with stall and shower) for 203 camper slots? Yup. Both are outside the office. If you are lucky enough to have to go while the office is open, there is another restroom stall inside, but you have to ask the staff for the key. Otherwise if they are both occupied, you're out of luck. Nonexistent Wi-Fi unless you are right nearby the office. Didn't use pool or jacuzzi. Upside: not a lot of trees if you want to use your satellite receiver. It's about 11 highway miles from downtown Reno, if you are interested in taking in the sights. - Wendywoods
Very convenient, clean, level sites. Lots of shade trees and a small plot of grass and wood picnic table at each site. I did not use the restrooms or showers. The pool was closed for remodel but looked beautiful and ready. Lots of area to walk and only a short walk to the casino or The Cabella store. - MJHP*28
