Beautiful grassy site. Friendly office staff. Paved roads in the park. Great first impression. Friendly people in the park. Unfortunately the showers and bathrooms were quite dirty late in the afternoon. Dryers took an hour and a half. There seem to be quite a few permanent people in the park which is ok, but some have definitely bent the rules. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent one night in this park on our way to another destination, and did not unhitch. The park is close to the interstate, but we did not hear any traffic noise. The sites are paved, and each one has a grassy area and shade tree. The park is very clean and tidy, and the view of the surrounding hills is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful campgrounds in the Sierra Mountains near Reno. Big Rig paradise. Paved extra long, extra wide sites with lots of trees, grass and the view is the best. The park is well layed out so easy in and out with the bigger rigs and tows. Wifi work well. No freeway noise. Services next to the campground. Office staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Reno, shopping, and local attractions. Food and gas next to the campgrounds.

Easy to find campground off I-80 exit at the Gold Ranch Casino just before the California state line. Toilets and showers were clean. Good amenities and atmosphere: Grassy sites and hiking trails up into the hills. Lot spacing was spacious with some shade. Site surface was grass. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Specials at the casino diner, and it was good food at a reasonable price. Inexpensive gas/diesel, easy access to I-80.

This is a very nice park on a hillside with some shade and very nice views. Weekend traffic is not too bad. Has a nice pool and spa. Sites are paved and fairly level with pull- thru and back-ins.

Casino is smoky but slots are fairly loose. Great breakfast food. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Boom Town Casino and 15 miles from Reno proper.

Groceries and shopping in mall 4 miles.

We live in Lake Tahoe and use this for staging a trip when heading east. Nice pull-throughs, lots of grass and generally a good feeling park. Close to gaming and restaurant. Have a deal on breakfast.

As said before, its a safe place where they actually patrol the grounds, especially for Burning Man and other events where people try to sneak in to get water, use the services. They are polite and observant. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We generally have breakfast before taking off. Cabela's is just down the road a mile or two also.

Rate is based on 28 day stay. Check in was very easy and quick. Nice view of the surrounding mountains. There is a grassy area between sites, you don't feel crowded at all. Roads and parking pads are paved and reasonably level.

Casino and restaurants are about 50 yards from park entrance. The restaurant is not that good. There is Jackin the Box also. I would stay. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

This park had paved streets with grass and gravel sites. The utilities were good, the office staff was pleasant and helpful. The park was very clean and well maintained. There is some traffic noise from I-80 and the trains on the other side of the highway. There is also a security car that patrols the property. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Reno and Sparks. Do take the trip around Lake Tahoe and visit Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics. (-80 W to 89.) If your heart is up to it, take 341 back. Some great views but lots of white knuckles and brakes.

Without a doubt, by far the best RV park in the Reno/Sparks area! Great view, amenities, level sites, etc. I can not imagine why anyone would drive into Reno or Sparks and stay in the noise, congestion, crime, grime and traffic! Were just passing through, but stayed a couple of extra days just to enjoy the park. Good job! Just enjoy the view and relax! Clean, well maintained, large pullthru's, pet friendly and casino on site if you do that sort of thing. The sites were all paved, not very level, but nothing that my levelers couldn't handle. Way better than staying in Reno. We stayed here going to and from Sacramento and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The casino restaurant had good food, reasonably priced and fair service.

Easy Freeway access. Road and train noise was not a problem. Nice pool. Park was clean. Skip eating at the Casino's restaurant. The quality of the food and service is poor. We would stay here again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino & in a Motorhome.

After generally crowded, poorly maintained public and private campgrounds in and near the national parks in California, our first northern Nevada RV park was a revelation! This tiny casino had one of the nicest private RV parks we have stayed in anywhere from Alaska to Texas. Concrete paved FHU sites, lots of grass, big pine trees behind the site, and relatively quiet sites near the back of the park where we were located. We have recommended Gold Ranch to family and friends as one of the best places to "camp" in the Reno-Carson City region. Great park, especially for a short stay. Really nice paved sites with great spacing. Restaurant in casino next door was very good. Only issue is the laundry room needs a good scrubbing. One machine had an "out of service" tag that looked like it'd been there a while. Would definitely stay again however. The sites themselves were far better than most! Very clean campground attached to the casino just before the California state line. Grass between sites and walking trails up into the hills behind the campground. We ate at the casino and it was good food at a reasonable price. Good place to get gas/diesel before you travel on. We would stay here again. Toilets and showers were clean.
