Really enjoyed this park. Large sites, lovely setting--trees, mountains, creek. Restaurants and casino onsite. Helpful staff, security guard. Pool & hot tub. Nice laundry. We would definitely stay again if we return to the area. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Tahoe is about 30 miles away. Gorgeous! We didn't find anything noteworthy in Reno. Make sure your vehicle/brakes/tires are ready for the mountains!

Customer service was good. Spaces are large enough, but our cable did not work (although maintenance man tried) so we switched to OTA. Wifi was spotty and did not seem strong enough. We were in one of the "pull in" sites facing the mountain and tried to change as it was not what we expected - office lady tried her best but they were busy so we stayed where we were for the 2 night stay. Other than going to Truckee for shopping and eating (which is why we stayed at this park) there is not really anything to do except visit the small casino. Not sure we would stay here again although some of the other pull through sites looked good. I think we just had a not so good first experience. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

The location is beautiful, may be the best place to stay in Reno. Had a heated pool and hot tub. The mountain scenery all around the park is exquisite! Close to Tahoe too. We went up to check out Truckee, a cute mountain town that wasn't far away. The weather can be a bit fickle in the mountains, but it's hard to beat this place. All new asphalt pad with grass surrounding. Neighbors were all very nice. We'd definitely come back and stay again. Stayed here long term. 5 stars all around. Wi-Fi pretty reliable. A drawback is that there's not much else here, except for a gas station, couple of food and drink places and small casino. Some interstate traffic noise. Reno is about 10 miles east. Prices, like all parks in area, are going sky high due to influx of people moving into area. Overall Rating:

Stayed one night at this park in our 38 foot fifth wheel. Park is easily accessable from highway 80. RV sites are paved and easily accommodated our 5th wheel and tow vehicle. Site was level and did not require any leveling action. Adjacent to the RV park is small Casino, gas station, and restaurant. Typical casino food preference. The park sits adjacent to the sloping sierra's and spent several hours hiking into this beautiful area. You can quickly access Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe from this RV park. Park is quiet. We did not access their WIFI service. A good value, clean, quiet and scenic RV park. Highly recommend an overnight stay or even longer. Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to Reno, Casinos, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe. If you register at the casino you receive food discounts in their restaurant. Food is typical cafe type menu. We generally stay at the Truckee RV park but they are expensive and usually full. This park allows you access to many sight seeing locations and at a reasonable value. We will stay here again.

Site was very tight. When they were told how tight the site was they said it was supposed to have the trees trimmed before we got there, but nothing else was done. Was charged a $5 fee for booking on line and didn't get the Good Sam discount. Won't stay again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

We liked this park, great setting. This park is a retreat if you want to escape the hustle and traffic of Reno but you are close enough to enjoy all the amenities of the big city. Campground is very quiet even with I-80 not far away. It is very well maintained and the staff is very helpful. People with dogs pick up after them and help keep the park clean. Walking trails go out of the park for short hikes with your dogs. We will definitely stay here again. - We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Excellent park. Located on casino property but park stands alone. Clean, large level paved sites. FHU and cable. Wi-fi pretty good. Directly off I-80. Some traffic and train noise but certainly not bothersome. Excellent service from staff. Casino nice with good food at restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again. Easy drive into Reno or about 45 min drive down to Lake Tahoe. Local bar/grill called Sasquatch about 5 min drive in Verdi - great little place. Lots of shopping, Walmart nearby.

I like this park, very pretty setting. You're far enough out of Reno to feel like you're not in the mix of all the hustle and bustle. This park is used as a summer retreat; you see a lot of not permanents, but a lot of long term campers. You don't hear a lot of the I-80 freeway noise, so the campground is very quiet. The price per night reflects taxes, Good Sam discount. I think their prices are a little bit on the high side for fall rates but it's still a nice place to camp. We would definitely stay here again. This 300+ space park had only 5 available spaces when we arrived so the lady in the office was very busy, but she went way out of her way to accommodate us. The park offers full-hookup sites with long asphalt pads and some sites have grass and most have a tree. There is, of course, a casino, a cafe, coffee shop, quick shop with sub sandwiches, and a fuel station. It is conveniently located at Exit 2 on I-80. In fact, when you exit, you are at their entrance. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. There is some traffic noise. We have stayed in the Reno area previously, but somehow had never discovered Gold Ranch. We were very glad to have stayed there this time. The entire property is very easy to navigate, and is a great location just off of I-80. Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. The RV park is in great shape, and the sites are long, level, and have a nice amount of space between them. The grass is in fine shape. I loved the availability of food options at the casino, and found the main restaurant to have good food and even better prices. We will definitely plan to stay at Gold Ranch when visiting Reno again. Nice views and good space between sites. My pull thru was long enough but had trouble leveling side to side but we lived with it. It seemed they water every night causing the grass area to be soggy and never drying out. Also causes water spots on my coach. Staff friendly and helpful. Park was clean, had nice views with a small walking trail, and big rig friendly. Sites are paved, long but slightly narrow (although able to open all 3 slides), unlevel side to side, but manageable. We had a problem getting into the site due to low hanging tree branches. This was a problem on many other sites as well. Good space between sites with well kept grass. Traveled in 5th wheel. Would stay again.
