.This is the second time we stayed at this park and it was great. We were on the very last row and had easy access to hiking trails. People are very friendly and the staff is outstanding. We will stay here again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a large park and it was full during our stay. The check in was easy, the park roads are wider than most roads and our site was spacious. It was at the end of the row and looked out over the mountains. Utilities were good, I recommend using a pressure value for water. Wi-fi worked ok and cell service was excellent. They have a community room with a TV, it closes at 10pm along with the pool and laundry. Didn't use the showers however they were clean. Laundry has several machines but only a few high capacity models. Price was better than Laundromat too. They gave us a 2 for 1 coupon for the adjacent restaurant. Couldn't use it through. We stopped in and it looked maybe a third full. The hostess told us it would be an hour wait and several parties were ahead of us! Gas station on site has diesel, $3.50 gal and the RV park has propane $3 gal. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

For us East coasters there are a couple of In and Out burger locations in Reno and Sparks. Costco and Sam's about 20 min drive. Lake Tahoe is about 30 min drive (Tahoe City)

This was our first time to the Reno area, and we picked a great place to stay! The RV park has a very park-like setting with grass and trees, a great heated pool and hot tub, with long sites and ample space in between. The utilities worked well, and our Verizon service was smoking fast. The staff is nice, and the casino was very generous in their offers of 2 for 1 dinners, which were delicious. (We got coupons at check in, and also won a BOGO dinner!) We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an additional week. Highly recommend. We have stayed here 3 times before while we visit friends and each time is as good as the previous. This year our site has a fresh asphalt pad. The views are of the nearby pine tree hills. Nice grass spaces between the sites are a plus. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

This is about as close to a perfect RV park that we have been to in ten years on the road. The (pull thru) sites are 70' long, everything is paved, lush grass between the sites, a casino, restaurants, huge gas station all on premises. The view is exceptional. The roads are wider than many residential streets, access to the sites is effortless. Everything worked perfectly with no hassles or issues whatsoever. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stay at this park on occasions, mostly in the fall when the weather is cooler this time it was in the middle of July. Have no complaints the power was very good the site we got in was an end sight, One of the only problems was there was a lot of fires going on in California and the smoke was terrible you could barely see the mountains surrounding this campground, this was no fault of the campground but it's what you had to deal with while you were here. The help they have here is very very nice very accommodating. We look forward to our return visits to this park . Tips for other Campers:

Casino restaurant attached to RV park was very reasonable food was better than average. The only thing I might add as a cautionary is when you are leaving the park heading to Reno the first on ramp to go to Reno has very little run out distance in other words if there's a lot of traffic let it go because there is no good merging space or roadway.

Very nice staff and a very clean park with great views of the mountains. The sites are paved and level with a nice grassy area. I have a 38 foot motor home with 4 pop-outs and had plenty of space. Wi-Fi was slow. Has a little casino you can walk to with a restaurant. The food was just ok. Casino has machines only - no tables. There is a Starbucks in the casino also. Enjoyed my stay and would come back. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Reno is 10 miles away and we visited Harrah's Club, Sands and Cal Neva if you like gambling plus we took a ride to Sparks 20 miles from the park to have dinner at the Nugget and really enjoyed the meal. The nugget has several restaurants to choose from. Play the tables and machines. Also played bingo.

Lovely setting, easy off ramp, lots of trees and grass, spacious sites, small but nice pool and jacuzzi. Easy check in, propane available, free showers, nice laundry room, well maintained and watered. Clean and spacious. Well maintained. No unsightly areas. Great mountain and tree views. Will definitely stay there again. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Really enjoyed this park. Large sites, lovely setting--trees, mountains, creek. Restaurants and casino onsite. Helpful staff, security guard. Pool & hot tub. Nice laundry. Customer service was good. Spaces are large enough, but our cable did not work (although maintenance man tried) so we switched to OTA. Wifi was spotty and did not seem strong enough. We were in one of the "pull in" sites facing the mountain and tried to change as it was not what we expected - office lady tried her best but they were busy so we stayed where we were for the 2 night stay. Other than going to Truckee for shopping and eating (which is why we stayed at this park) there is not really anything to do except visit the small casino. Not sure we would stay here again although some of the other pull through sites looked good. I think we just had a not so good first experience. The location is beautiful, may be the best place to stay in Reno. Had a heated pool and hot tub. The mountain scenery all around the park is exquisite! Close to Tahoe too. We went up to check out Truckee, a cute mountain town that wasn't far away. The weather can be a bit fickle in the mountains, but it's hard to beat this place. All new asphalt pad with grass surrounding. Neighbors were all very nice. We'd definitely come back and stay again. Stayed here long term. 5 stars all around. Wi-Fi pretty reliable. A drawback is that there's not much else here, except for a gas station, couple of food and drink places and small casino. Some interstate traffic noise. Reno is about 10 miles east. Prices, like all parks in area, are going sky high due to influx of people moving into area. Stayed one night at this park in our 38 foot fifth wheel. Park is easily accessable from highway 80. RV sites are paved and easily accommodated our 5th wheel and tow vehicle. Site was level and did not require any leveling action. Adjacent to the RV park is small Casino, gas station, and restaurant. Typical casino food preference. The park sits adjacent to the sloping sierra's and spent several hours hiking into this beautiful area. You can quickly access Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe from this RV park. Park is quiet. We did not access their WIFI service. A good value, clean, quiet and scenic RV park. Highly recommend an overnight stay or even longer. Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to Reno, Casinos, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe. If you register at the casino you receive food discounts in their restaurant. Food is typical cafe type menu. We generally stay at the Truckee RV park but they are expensive and usually full. This park allows you access to many sight seeing locations and at a reasonable value. We will stay here again.
