This is our staycation park. We live 30 minutes away and try to come here once a month summer and winter. If you get a card from the casino above the park, they send coupons so we get 4-5 free nts a month and its worth it especially in summer. Great lakes for kayaking nearby, our grandson loves the fun center(coupons for that too), kids can ride bikes here, playground, dog friendly, all kinds of shopping not far away (Cabelas across the street). Park is a basic park, yes, but adequate. Cell service problems are not the parks, it's the carriers. This is a tough area for service, but be patient as it comes in great eventually, we know it's just the area. Some fulltimers stay here, but mostly for winter, summer not so much. Friendly folks, park has security and I see them thru here constantly and we like that especially at night, we have never had anything stolen outside like we have at other parks nearby in town at bigger casino parks near the river. Hookups all good, some road noise but not loud, trains but not constant, did not wake us. We will be back again soon till snow says no. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

Clean, organized, well maintained CG. Wide asphalt interior roads. Pretty tight between sites. Pull-thru site was not really long enough with a 45"+jeep. Jeep stuck out into the wide roadway. Free shuttle to the casino. Pickup at the office a returns you to your site. Would stay here again. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

We experienced difficulty with our truck over 4th of July Weekend and were very pleased to find this campground could accommodate us. It is a KOA so it is expensive and could use some fixing up. Garbage was overflowing. Had full hookups, but site was basic and unattractive. Lots of permanent residents. Staff was friendly. There is a small pool, shuttle to the casino and a small playground. Given a choice, which we did not have at the time, we would probably stay elsewhere in the future. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical overpriced KOA. Had some points to use but they couldn't make it work. Cash is more important than the customer I guess. Clean area, but close spaces. Bathrooms need serious attention. It's a large park, understaffed for the work needed to run it. Wifi wouldn't connect. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

Typical old outdated facility. Over priced for what you get. The location is the only thing going for it. Lots of permanent residents. Mostly 30 amp sites. We did manage to get a 50 amp site, so called deluxe site. Not sure what was deluxe about it. Very narrow for big rigs. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

The office staff were unhelpful, warning that the wifi service in the back-in section was a problem. It was - it wouldn't connect. Wifi works well at the reception building, however. When I asked for a different site with functioning wifi, I was told they were full. It was claimed that the problem was the number of users, but this was not true. The problem was poor signal. No solution offered, no compensation offered, I asked if I could get a place with a table and chair to use the service, and was shunted into the laundry. Really! Very disappointing, compared to my previous experience with Koa RV parks. This is the worst! We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night, it's a beautiful park... enjoyed watching the children and pet's enjoy their separate parks. Nice view of the Truckee River and Reno in the east.

It's KOA, everything was perfectly clean, tidy and quiet at night. Right off I-80 west, shuttle to the local casino, gas and food nearby. It had a great road for walking. Will stay again! We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice to accommodate three RVs traveling together by putting us next to each other. Easy access from freeway. Easy walk to casino. Clean, well-maintained park. Cons: Bad WiFi. Small dog run for such a large park. Some pads were uneven. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

The main thing everyone noticed is that water is leaking everywhere. There is a puddle of water near the pool and our water hook up leaked and flooded our site. The front office staff said there is only one maintenance man and it will take forever to fix anything. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this KOA since we couldn't get into another our regular campground this year. What a mistake and we were stuck there for 4 weeks. The sites are not level. Sprinklers run and flood sites. Pet policy not enforced. Dog droppings in the turf areas (much of the turf was dead or dying). Owners do not pick up after there dogs. Quite a few long termers which always downgrades an RV park. However, most of this we could deal with except for the management. The manager at the time we were there was rude and unreceptive to discussions regarding pets and running faucets that needed repair. The park is old and maintenance is lacking. Yes, the view and location is great (if you don't mind the train diesel horns randomly throughout the day).

I would find it hard to go back unless there was a serious improvement in the park and management. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

The layout for this park is terrible as far as the entry driveway/registration area. Tight skinny driveway and confusing as to how to proceed---several rigs pulled in short and blocked the way for others to get by. Cleanliness takes a hit due to inconsiderate dog owners, really large dog owners. But ultimately the park needs to "pick up" where the moron dog owners left off. And it looked like a backhoe would be needed, some piles were rather immense. Only one, single person bath/shower for the whole park?! As usual, overpriced. Pool was clean, small, & packed (expected for a hot July weekend). The prices here also jump astronomically for Hot August Nights. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

This is hard to rate, it's right below Highway 80 and the casino and of course like every other rv park in the world there is a train track right next to it. And of course they run through blowing their horn at 3:30am. Nice clean but there are a number of full timers who have dogs and bbqs and parties. For what it is it's fine. For a relaxing time, forget it. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a basic RV parking lot with a few small trees in the grassy areas between sites - overpriced in our opinion. It was easy to navigate. The dog run was partially flooded while we were there. There are lots of smokers in this park, including the employees. The worst thing that happened here was employees destroyed a honeybee swarm that would have departed peacefully given an hour or less. Sprayed poison all over then left the toxic bee corpses on the pavement to sicken birds. When questioned, employees laughed about how quickly the bees perished. We were disgusted at their ignorance and left as soon as possible. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.
