Nicest staff ever. Clean pool. Unfortunately the electrical was so bad we had to run our generator for air conditioning. My coach just shut down when the voltage dropped. Might be okay for lower end rigs prior to computerized rigs. I could view the voltage on each leg. At one time I had 105 on one leg and 100 volts on other on 50 amp service. Tried 30 amp even worse. Electrician even came out and said just too many people for and old system. Park is in fair shape but very old. We will never be back and post this so others will have heads up on electrical status. When we arrived raw sewage was dumped on our site. Mixed bleach and water to clean. Not the parks fault but clientele is not the best. Lots of full time sites. Busy as it was Hot August nights. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

If you will enjoy a stay near a casino and conveniently off of the interstate, then this is a good place. The site comes with a complementary drink at the casino for each adult. The casino is withing walking distance but there is a shuttle if you need it. The campground has a pool and two hot tubs, but they are small and close before the sun is down (in summer) which made it tough for us to use them. The park is pretty much all asphalt and sites are very close together but there are full hookups including cable. We used it as an overnight say, but were very pleased with ease of access, close gas station, and nearly all pull-through sites. Great for an overnight stop and a quick trip to the casino. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

This was our 3rd & final stay here. Convenient because friends were nearby. It's rundown with many trailers in flagrant violation of printed rules: many trailers with tents set up around them, boxes and children's toys strewn about, clothes drying outside, pit bull dogs in residence, dog poop not picked up. But the kicker was that the office staff didn't know their open hours (& needed to be shown on their website) or care when the electricity failed on a row in 100+ degree weather (we were waiting for multiple complaints before we checked). Thank goodness we were there so our dogs didn't suffer. We will not go back. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

Just another old campground that has taken the KOA name to attract people. A lot of old permanent trailers thru out. Sites are very narrow and close. The site I was in had a water leak and ground got soaking wet and muddy. Management said not to worry they would fix it later. Then breaker kept tripping on 30 amps so used 50 amps and same thing. Only receiving 103 volts. Will not stay here again and you should run too. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

Check in-out at 12-noon. Staff was friendly and informative. Park roads and sites are asphalt, that need resurfacing. My site needed leveling; it was a pull-thru had a patch of grass and picnic table. Overall the Park was clean. They gave me some casino coupons when I showed the office my Players card. Swimming pool is seasonal. Only "one" M/W restroom-shower for the RV Park, locking door and it was clean. WiFi worked good in the AM, but got slower as more users logged on. Cable TV did not work, but I received 10-channels via antenna. Small kids playground. Shuttle bus (on call) is available to and from casino. Park is set lower and back from I-80, which made it quiet at night. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

This was one of our favorites for awhile because its close and fun for our grandchildren, not anymore. New ownership at Boomtown and they do not care about this park it seems. Park staff amazing but not enough staff and it makes it hard for the staff there to keep up. Security and office staff, there is no one to clean up park and no one to make sure rules are followed. People speed thru here like a freeway, dog poop everywhere, garbage left in sites when guests leave. Park staff stretched thin. We noticed big changes at casino facilities as well. Downhill fast. On positive note, all utilities work including cable, wrap hoses in winter. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

This is our staycation park. We live 30 minutes away and try to come here once a month summer and winter. If you get a card from the casino above the park, they send coupons so we get 4-5 free nts a month and its worth it especially in summer. Great lakes for kayaking nearby, our grandson loves the fun center(coupons for that too), kids can ride bikes here, playground, dog friendly, all kinds of shopping not far away (Cabelas across the street). Park is a basic park, yes, but adequate. Cell service problems are not the parks, it's the carriers. This is a tough area for service, but be patient as it comes in great eventually, we know it's just the area. Some fulltimers stay here, but mostly for winter, summer not so much. Friendly folks, park has security and I see them thru here constantly and we like that especially at night, we have never had anything stolen outside like we have at other parks nearby in town at bigger casino parks near the river. Hookups all good, some road noise but not loud, trains but not constant, did not wake us. We will be back again soon till snow says no. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

Clean, organized, well maintained CG. Wide asphalt interior roads. Pretty tight between sites. Pull-thru site was not really long enough with a 45"+jeep. Jeep stuck out into the wide roadway. Free shuttle to the casino. Pickup at the office a returns you to your site. Would stay here again. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

We experienced difficulty with our truck over 4th of July Weekend and were very pleased to find this campground could accommodate us. It is a KOA so it is expensive and could use some fixing up. Garbage was overflowing. Had full hookups, but site was basic and unattractive. Lots of permanent residents. Staff was friendly. There is a small pool, shuttle to the casino and a small playground. Given a choice, which we did not have at the time, we would probably stay elsewhere in the future. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical overpriced KOA. Had some points to use but they couldn't make it work. Cash is more important than the customer I guess. Clean area, but close spaces. Bathrooms need serious attention. It's a large park, understaffed for the work needed to run it. Wifi wouldn't connect. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

The office staff were unhelpful, warning that the wifi service in the back-in section was a problem. It was - it wouldn't connect. Wifi works well at the reception building, however. When I asked for a different site with functioning wifi, I was told they were full. It was claimed that the problem was the number of users, but this was not true. The problem was poor signal. No solution offered, no compensation offered, I asked if I could get a place with a table and chair to use the service, and was shunted into the laundry. Really! Very disappointing, compared to my previous experience with Koa RV parks. This is the worst! We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

Typical old outdated facility. Over priced for what you get. The location is the only thing going for it. Lots of permanent residents. Mostly 30 amp sites. We did manage to get a 50 amp site, so called deluxe site. Not sure what was deluxe about it. Very narrow for big rigs. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

The main thing everyone noticed is that water is leaking everywhere. There is a puddle of water near the pool and our water hook up leaked and flooded our site. The front office staff said there is only one maintenance man and it will take forever to fix anything. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Travel Trailer.

Nice to accommodate three RVs traveling together by putting us next to each other. Easy access from freeway. Easy walk to casino. Clean, well-maintained park. Cons: Bad WiFi. Small dog run for such a large park. Some pads were uneven. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night, it's a beautiful park... enjoyed watching the children and pet's enjoy their separate parks. Nice view of the Truckee River and Reno in the east.

It's KOA, everything was perfectly clean, tidy and quiet at night. Right off I-80 west, shuttle to the local casino, gas and food nearby. It had a great road for walking. Will stay again! We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Fifth Wheel.
