This is the first time that we have had someone walk out of the office and welcome us to their campground! Very sweet. Campground itself is older with gravel and dirt roads. All pull throughs. Very clean and well run. A good place for just an overnight stay. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I am a monthly here since 2014. I see comments here, one that has Angel Lake RV Park confused with USFS Angel Creek Campground, claiming the sites are unlevel and full of weeds, all untrue. The folding picnic tables seem to confuse some who decide they are broken if they have been moved and the legs are folded slightly under. Guests frequently slide the tables around and one or both sides can fold under slightly. Most people can see this and just open them back up. The owner checks the spaces after people leave and takes the three seconds to unfold any left that way. My point is there are no broken picnic tables in the park and never has been. Comments on unenforced leash rules for dogs are untrue as well. I have seen people asked to leave for letting a dog out off a leash. Any problems with dogs are immediately addressed if a guest makes the owner aware. Complaints of grass or trees not fully recovered from the harsh winters at well over 5000 foot elevation where spring comes late and winter comes early. The owners have no control over the seasons and comments might better be made about the area than the RV park. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Going to the office and speaking with the friendly owner and family who are life long residents of the area if you are looking for something to do. The owner is a ex-rancher and outfitter and knows the mountains around the area very well. As well as the town and services available.

We planned on staying here 1 night, ended up asking for a week, as our truck broke down and had to be towed 50 miles away. Stranded with no transportation, owners offered to take us to store, etc. Laundry and restrooms were spotless, park is in the desert, so was about what was expected. Many long term people who were very friendly and took care of their areas. Best part was owner took time off from a busy Saturday and took us to pick up our truck, a 100 mile trip. That was wonderful. They might be a little more forceful about their pet policies, had a scary incident with our little dog. Under circumstances it was the best place in town to stay. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pull-thru sites, easy in/out access. Good spot for a stopover but it is next to I-80 so expect road noise at night. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you need them, the showers and bathrooms are very nice and very clean. Also if you need, the laundry is adequate and clean.
As with most small parks, the majority of sites are for full term folks. Very few sites for over nighters. It was okay for a quick stay over. Picnic table wasn't usable. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Typical of the high desert Angel Lake RV Park has sparse vegatation, gravel access roads and pads. Sites are a bit close together but adequate, level a deep enough for big rigs. Quite a few long term residents but their sites are tidy and neat (a couple even put in lawns). Great water pressure, power held up well and utilities are well placed. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A drive up to Angel Lake, about 10 miles, is a treat. The lake sits at 8,400 feet in elevation and is a popular fishing spot.

No ground maintenance whatsoever. Sticker weeds, dead weeds, dirt and uneven terrain that made my elderly dog fall down repeatedly. No grass anywhere. Poor tenant behavior. Very crass and crude. We will never come here again. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Truck Camper.

The sites are level with some grass. The wifi is good but there isn't anything within walking distance of this park. It is right off the interstate, so there's some road noise. The bathrooms & laundry room is very clean. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

EZ access from I-80 - facilities, staff, and location was excellent. Some trees and even some shade. Nice dog walk and sites level and EZ in & out. Would highly recommend to travelers. Staff informative about sites in area and gave great recommendations. They were courteous and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if traveling in this area of NV. Wi-Fi excellent! We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bellas's Espresso for dining - homemade food & good service

Angel's Lake - beautiful mtn drive & gorgeous views.

Flying J at same exit for fueling - great for RV

Very friendly staff. Escorted us to our site which was very level with plenty of room for slide outs. All sites are pull through. Overnighters are in the center and monthlies are around the edges. Exceptionally clean restrooms and showers. Good park for an overnight stay. Some road noise from I-80. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The only reason we didn't give this park a 10 is due to the fact that it is so new the trees aren't very big. The check in was super easy and we were escorted to our site. We had a pull through and it was very level - we didn't unhook our toad. The bathrooms were clean and the showers excellent. We would absolutely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting an overnight place or are headed to Angel Lake Rec area. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very, very nice RV park with roomy pull-through sites, good water pressure and electricity, clean restrooms and laundry, and free reliable WiFi. The location offers ultra-convenient on/off access from I-80 (and is only a mile from the intersection of US 93 with I-80). This is NOT just a mobile home park with a few spots for overnighters - quite the opposite! There are some monthly units, but they are tidy, well-kept and easily overlooked. The park is neat as a pin, with graveled roads and pull-throughs. There are trees enough to be pleasant, but satellite access is wide open. The town grocery, Post Office, and a hardware store (with a row of RV supplies) are within walking distance. The owner/operators are especially gracious and accommodating. There is not a fancy destination resort, but if it's on your route, it's is an excellent place for a night or two of relaxation. A solid 9 (out of 10) in our book. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The discount at Bellas Restaurant is well worth it. Good food, and lots of it for reasonable prices, AND you have a story to tell your friends at home.

I am a monthly. I have been here a month and a half. All spaces are pull through and handle the largest diesel pushers with a car or trailer behind with out unhooking. All spaces are level and extremely well maintained 7 days per week and 50 amp equipped. Park sits directly across street from 18 hole golf course. Owner is Us Air Force veteran and retired rancher and outdoor outfitter. He has extensive knowledge of surrounding Ruby Mountains and lakes and streams. The park also sits on the road to pristine alpine Angel Lake 13 miles up a paved road. All facilities are spotless and modern. Owners are very friendly and customer oriented. They will assign you a space or you can pick one. All water is heat tape equipped and insulated for winter stays. The trees in the park are various species on a drip system and bloom out into beautiful shade trees in summer. The park is the newest most modern RV park in Wells, being ten years old. Owner is constantly improving and maintaining park. They have a deal with a local restaurant and give discount coupons. The easy going man and wife owners and their daughter and grand kids who run the park make a relaxing stress free stay. The park is easy to find right off freeway exit on I-80. I have read a negative review referring to a smelly dumpster. Also complaints about freeway traffic noise. I have never found the dumpster smelly or overflowing. The freeway can be heard, but it is not excessive and does not bother me nor anyone I know here in the park. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park sits at the base of the Ruby Mountains. Any who likes to hike, mountain bike, hunt, fish, ride dirt bikes and atv or jeeps etc. There are endless miles in the mountains. There is a grocery store and dollar store as well as U.S. Post office and public library within three blocks from park. The owner can tell you about scenic drives and if you play golf just walk across the street. There is a propane company across the freeway from the RV park and the flying J truck stop also sells propane. There are four restaurants in Wells I can think of and one casino.

Stayed here for one night. Campground located on South side of I-80, all sites are gravel pull thru some up to 60'. Not the Ritz but adequate for short stay, or overnight and a better choice than other campgrounds in Ely. Some Interstate and distant train noise, but did not bother us at night. Rate reflects Good Sam discount and all taxes. Would stay here again. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
