Nice little RV Park very close in the Interstate with some road noise. Super great owner and park is spotless with lots of room to walk the dogs on GRASS, no stickers! No WiFi, utilities worked great. Will stay again if in the area. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small park with beautiful landscaping. Owner waters the grass and you can tell he takes pride in the park. Sites are a little close together but I can live with that. Has a small pond with seats and a creek with ice cold rushing water. Very nice. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

As stated prior, very beautiful campground, big grassy area with beautiful trees and birds, two streams. This used to be an old campground along I-40, the original highway. They had an old gas station and bar and restaurant where the current bathrooms and showers are. Very friendly people, very few permanents, and of course, highway noise is 24/7 but not too bad with fan on in your coach. Enjoy!! We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Park setting is beautiful with huge old growth trees right on a small creek. Spaces are tight, muddy in March when we where there as there is no gravel in sites or roads plus park needs updating. Close to highway so you do get lots of road noise. Even with all of those issues we would stay again just because of the beautiful setting. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spaces are close together. The overall setting was wonderful with lots of grass & trees. There is 24/7 highway noise. You'll need to go into Wells for any services. Our tailgater worked fine, as did our internet. There is no park tv or internet. Entrance is the 2nd driveway and there is no designated RV parking for check in. Check in is at the house by the exit sign (1st driveway). There is an "office" sign in a window. The owner was very personable. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Coming from the East - it's 8 miles west of Hwy 93 in Wells where the Love's / Flying J stations are, or 175 miles from the Hwy 80 Salt Lake City International Airport exit in Salt Lake City, UT. If you're coming from the west, its 50 miles east of Elko, NV; or 340 miles from the I-80, Hwy 395/I-580 interchange in Reno, NV. The park is on the NE side of the hwy and it's the only thing at that exit, there is no street address.

About 8 miles West of Wells at I-80 exit 343, this park is basically a grass area with full hookups, $15 for 30 amp and $20 for 50 amp. The owner is laid back and pleasant and the park is surrounded by very large, old trees and has a mountain view to the North. There is lovely spring-fed stream running through the West side of the property into a small pond, and there are places to sit and contemplate the beauty. Right next to I-80, but the noise didn't bother me inside. There is a laundry with brand new washers/dryers; I did not look at the restrooms. There are a number of long-term trailers there but the owners were quiet and pleasant. A very pleasant place to stay for a night or two. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

See my review from July 2014. Great atmosphere and a perfect place to stay after driving all day. The owners make up for any shortcomings the park may have. Will continue to stay here when traveling this road. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very Good for overnight stay. Well maintained grassy area with fast flowing creek running through one end with multiple benches for enjoying the surroundings. Very friendly on-site owner who loves to talk to guest campers. Nothing to do except rest and relax (good) and with no cable or internet available for us only a one-nighter. For overnight only, unless you want to relax for a while w/own satellite or don't need TV. Very pleasant for adults, but nothing for children to do, no amenities for them. We will stop again if in area. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older RV park about 8 miles west of Wells, NV with easy access on and off the freeway. Despite a lack of some standard RV park amenities (no Wi-Fi, no laundry, no cable), what sets it apart is abundant, lush, green grass, a cool running creek, super friendly managers, and a laid back atmosphere. This is a great place to get off the road and relax for a few days. The managers had a community campfire going both days we stayed here. We enjoyed sitting around the fire chatting with them. During our stay the voltage was good, but water pressure was a tad on the weak side at only 40 PSI and sometime briefly less. An AT&T wireless signal was weak and barely usable here, but Verizon was stronger and their data was LTE. This park is a real gem and we'll most definitely stay here again when passing through. Price paid reflects a Passport America rate, good for two nights. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park on the owner's land. Grassy sites rather close together. This price was Passport America. Good spot for overnight camping, right off the road. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate was for Passport America 50 amp. We really enjoyed this little campground. It is lush and green. Take a little walk down by the stream, it's very nice. The only drawback is the freeway noise. We would come back again for short stays. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

An oasis in the middle of desert. Small park with lots of green grass. Host very accommodating. Quiet, with running stream through park. Not many amenities, but an excellent place to stop and rest. Would definitely stay here again. Rate was Passport America. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

We drove 400 miles from CA. Passed many RV parks on the Interstate that all looked like dumps. In desperation found this one in the Escapees discount book. Rate noted reflects Escapees discount. Did not expect much but found this jewel in the middle of the desert in the middle of nowhere. Huge shade trees, green grass, super clean rest rooms and showers/laundry. Mountain stream running at back of campground. Good Verizon, some antenna TV. Owners were delightful. Some seasonal but appears there are always a few sites open.We were extremely pleased. Not only would we stay here again, we would plan to. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

'Twas a surprise to find a place so lush and green in the middle of the desert. Small, friendly, beautiful place with grass sites that is basically an old man's back yard. You feel like a friend he hasn't met yet. Lots of monthlies; seems to be a place where older folks just come and stay a while. I-80 highway noise is somewhat problematic, unfortunately. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.
