2 RV Parks near Wendover, Nevada
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We use to love this rv park but they have let it go to heck. No more showers or laundry. My site #17 had a water leak that looks like it was caused from freezing during the Winter. I reported this at check in and again the next day by phone. I told them that the water was spraying on the open electrical connections. Was told they would tell the manager. I put a bucket over it to prevent electrical problems. Neighbor said it has been like that for several months and that the Nugget doesn't want to spend any money on the Park. Dog poop was everywhere, weeds were everywhere and a lot of full time parkers let their dogs loose to use the bathroom. This is so sad as before they made it smaller it was an easy 10 RV Park. If they are not going to fix the water leak they need to close site 17 before it causes major electrical problems or injures someone. Worst RV Park experience in my 40+ years of Rving. - sgtjoe44
May 2015 - $35.00
We have never experienced a park like this before. There were only 2 spaces available, because the others were filled by extended stay RV's. I had to clean up the dog poo and broken glass in the crushed rock outside the door of our motorhome. There were no restrooms or showers. There was no laundry, and there were no trees in sight. The neighbor's sewer was leaking, and it smelled bad, and they charged $35.00 a night! We would never consider returning to that park. Wendover needs a decent RV park in our opinion, or the Nugget needs to improve the conditions in their park. - Melinda Reynolds
Aug 2012 - $12.00
The price reflects the monthly rate. Shorter rates are $200 per week or $400 for two weeks, but it's only $350 for a month so you might want to spring for the monthy rate if staying for more than ten days. The campground is actually in Utah and not Nevada and is behind the Shell service station which makes it a little hard to find. The place was full upon arriving so I just parked my rig in the truck parking area of the Shell station and was not bothered by anyone. Other travelers who were just passing through parked there for a night as well. There are no bathrooms and there are no showers and a central dumpster for trash. Long back-in cement parking pads with a rather large walk-out. Reservations are not available and registration is at the front desk of The Nugget Casino and it is a little hap-hazard. If there is an open site, that means it's available so if you take your rig out for a day or two, it might be a good idea to leave a sewer hose or some other camping stuff at the site so folks will know that it is still occupied. The cable TV worked fine as did the Verizon Wi-Fi and phone. About 60% of the spaces were occupied with semi-permanent campers, but they seemingly all had employment in the area since the place was quite deserted during the daytime. The only other RV park in town is the KOA (all gravel) and since they are much more expensive, I'd elect to stay here again. - Jake67
Oct 2018 - $50.00
Typical KOA....over priced, old and tired. Half of the machines in the laundry were out of order. Not too many choices in the area so they can get away with the $50 daily rate for a pull-thru. Even though they were not full, they stacked everyone right next to one another. Often, there was nobody in the office on duty during the day. The wi-fi did work well. - Cucutz
Sep 2018 - $38.00
This KOA is clean and well run. It is near the Bonneville Salt Flats, and probably a destination site during land speed events. For us it was an overnight stop. If you are near the Salt Flats you cannot expect lush landscaping but they do have trees near most sites. Flat white gravel sites and roads. Pleasant and efficient staff. Good camp store. Bathrooms are large, spotless and modern dormitory style, with a row of sinks and toilets. Showers are single rooms along a public hallway. Make sure you bring everything you need into it or you will be tip toeing across the hall in your towel! Laundry room looked okay but two dryers not working. We would stay again if in the area. - Grants Girl
Aug 2018 - $70.00
Dusty old KOA. Pull-through too short to adequately accommodate motorhome plus toad. Price-gouging because of local event we were not participating in. For the price, we thought we were going to have some incredible luxury. Inadequate wi-fi. - Lizzette
