Road noise and trains are always an issue in Winnemucca. This park would be perfect except for noise. Very nice bathrooms and a golf cart greets you at the entrance. Store, restaurant, liquor, RV supplies, propane. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a middle of the road park at best. There are too many full timers in the park with unkempt sites. The utility layouts of the pull throughs are very strange with electric at the front and water and sewer at the middle. We were unable to reach the sewer with our small Itasca Navion. The park, however, is OK for a one night stay passing through, and the Passport rate was only $21. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Ok for an overnight stay, located near the interstate. We parked at one end of the property next to a trailer court behind a fence, so not a great view. Wi-Fi spotty at best, probably due to our distance from the office. Bathrooms are spotless and beautiful. Bathrooms have combination keys, and at one point the lock on the ladies room stopped working and required the assistance of the staff to get it open again. Some work is being done on the bathroom landscaping so there is a messy front area. Very close parking next to your neighbors. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Stayed overnight on way home from Wyoming. Found this park very clean, pool refreshing and clean, and bathrooms very clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. Escorted to site before check in even though we did not have a reservation. The owner also owns the Mobile Home Park behind the RV Park and allows it's residents access to pool and amenities. The store is fully supplied with RV products including heaters, air conditioners, etc. More products than an RV Dealer. Sites are pretty level and there are no problems with length as stated in other reviews. I am 55 feet long with tow vehicle and I fit with no problems. I will definitely stay here again. You got to give this park a 10, each time I come the improvements are more and more. They accept Passport America, which makes the rate affordable, and the park shines for being in the middle of the dusty desert. The new upgrades that were visible to the eye included the very nice playground, very nice dog park, additional tent camping, inside the clubhouse with a hot dog stand. This place just might be almost too nice for Passport America. :(. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

After driving South on the 95 through the desert this campground was an oasis. Completely gravel, with lots of sites we were just happy to have hook ups to run the air conditioner out here in this hot desert. Very nice staff escorted us to our site. The pool looked refreshing. But as I did laundry in the large laundry room I noticed several trucks pull up and local children poured out to use the pool. I didn't get the impression they were staying in the campground. Shuttle service to the casino is available and we took advantage of it. After arriving at the Casino, we walked downtown a block to eat. Overall, this campground is great for one night. We like this place well enough. Level gravel sites, large enough for us to set up our 38 foot 5th wheel and pickup without having to unhook (ours was an overnight stay). Friendly and helpful staff. Rate reflects Good Sam and a site with water and electric only. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is not a destination park although they try very hard to justify the expensive rate. This park has a few long term residents which were not a problem at all. The sites were fairly level, utilities in working order. We did not try the cable or the wireless so we cannot comment on that. It is a good spot for an overnight stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Called 2 days ago for reservation. Said plenty of sights, don't need a confirmation. Couldn't find our reservation. No Passport America on Sunday night and would not honor Good Sam rate they quoted me. Just a place to sleep. Nothing special. Pool was nice. Would not stay here again. Rate is with GS discount. Overall, nice park. Staff seemed confused, long time to do little things but very friendly. Did not use pool but looked nice and clean. WiFi good but disconnects and slow at times. Sites barely adequate for 30' MH and Jeep. All connections good but cable TV local stations froze. We would stay again. This park is convenient for an overnight stop. The sites are very narrow for longer vehicles because there are railroad ties lining both sides of the sites. It is very important to know where your steps will be as you level the RV. The escort to the site was only there to let you know where you were going. I think it would be of greater assistance to advise of the narrow site. The WiFi did not work for us. The cable was adequate, the sewer, water and cable were awkward for our RV. Stayed here overnight on our way to Boise. There was nothing really wrong with the park but we just didn't like it. Access off the freeway was easy, the registration area was large, and the staff was friendly. There were some nice amenities like a small general store, ATM machine, hot dog and Polish sausage cart, and TV lounge. Nice playground and pool. The sites are somewhat level but taper off front and back. No concrete pad, grass, or landscaping. They advertise 70 ft pull thru but they are more like 45 ft and the tow just hangs off the marked site. Most all of the trees are dead. The extended stay area was not well-kept and there were a lot of overgrown weeds. Restrooms were nice. WiFi was very good. Would look to stay somewhere else next time. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We spent one night here on our way home from CA. Clean restrooms and showers. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Park is gravel with the sites marked by landscape posts. All the service's worked fine. It is a clean park with a mix of long term and short term. The sites are easy to get into, some are short for a big rig. It is out of town so very quit. The office has a store for food, RV supplies and beverages. The staff is very friendly. We would stay again. We camped at Hi-Desert RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Park is showing it's age. At the Hi-Deserts exit of I-80 a new RV/Motel park was under construction. Park brochure shows 73 TV channels but most were grainy and a few unwatchable. I'll never understand why RV parks refuse to accept AMEX like Hi-Desert does. WiFi was strong but modest. I measured 3.4 Mbps down with a ping of 80 at about 3 PM in the afternoon when you would think the traffic would be fairly low. I think I'll try out the new park when I come back to Winnemucca.
