We stayed here for 2 nights. They were the most expensive of our trip, but understand due to the area. However, thought we may have been after the "tourist" season.

Wifi was not accessible for us, had to use our phones. Sites were mostly level, campground was quiet. Trees made it hard for big rigs to move around. Staff kind of apathetic, not really helpful. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

A park like this are always booked no matter what because they are a the right place. But if people have to pay so much money at LEAST make sure the restrooms are clean......it was so bad! We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park wins the location award of those in the Lake Tahoe area. After touring some of the other local parks, this one seemed to offer the best of everything. Yes. The sights seem rather close together. Our site 159 is a pull through which seemed to offer more space between sites than many of the others. Bathrooms and showers were clean, maybe a bit dated, but nice. Park is located on HWY 50, a rather busy street, with a traffic light provided for safe crossing to the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Would probably stay again. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is across the road from the rest of the resort. We walked the entire campground for exercise after a long drive. The grounds are pretty but the sites are very close together with little to zero privacy. Most of the tent sites are right on top of each other. The restrooms and showers each are individual rooms. The restrooms are very basic. The showers are in serious need of updating. They have concrete floors, some wall damage and old defunct coin machines. The resort does have a lake front beach and is located in a beautiful location. It was very pleasant walking the campground, there is a light so it is easy to cross the highway to get to the main part of the resort and the lake. We had a nice breakfast in the resort restaurant. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The less than satisfactory experience starts when you miss the RV park driveway because of poor/no signs or markings. You are then forced to drive approx. 1 mile to turn around to make it back to the RV park. The next unsatisfactory experience occurs when you encounter the unknowledgeable, unprofessional office staff. We were directed to a site that was occupied and then to a site that was too small for our trailer! After about an hour of the front office personnel trying to locate us a site via their computer system, we were taken to a site that barely accommodated our 30 foot 5th wheel and our tow vehicle! After finally getting into this site, our steps ended at a drop off of about 5 feet to the next camp site. There was no enforcement of the 1 vehicle per site nor how many people at one site. The only good thing I can say about the facility is its location. It is right across the street from the Zypher Cove facilities and beach, so on a holiday weekend, you don't have to drive to get to the beach area. Way to expensive and way to crowded! We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park had excellent rating. I'm wondering who actually wrote the reviews. Staff was helpful. Made reservations online through the resort website. Glitch in program and I was put down for a tent site. I called a couple of weeks before the trip and verified my reservations stating that it was for a RV. They did find me a site that even for a short RV it was almost impossible to back into. They are so crammed together we couldn't put out our and people beside us had to pull in there awning. The worst part is the noise from the highway. With all windows closed and earplugs in you can still hear the cars 24 hrs a day. Not worth the money for retired people. This park is full of "big rigs" but friendly is not exactly accurate. The park is very tight within the trees and sites are as close together as possible. We were here one weekend the end of September in a 40' fifth wheel. Overall, the park is clean, the staff friendly, and there is a slight view of the lake which is a 200 yard walk across Hwy. 50 that goes through town. The biggest problem is the noise. First, there is the problem with overcrowding and the fact that this is a "party" area. But the biggest noise contributor is Hwy. 50 which should be renamed Harley Davidson Parade Lane. Unfortunately, there is a stop light at the park entrance so you get to hear the Harleys wind through all gears from sunrise to bedtime. We got 3 nights for the price of 2 which made it $48 per night, but even that was way over priced. We would not stay here again. Previous reviews talked about a bear in the park - we never saw one. However, if there are, people aren't using the bear proof trash bins correctly. They aren't latching them shut or they're putting trash on top of the containers. Unfortunately, it's going on top because the bins need to be dumped more often as they're full over the weekend. Roads here are tight due to the pine trees, but not a problem if you go slow and others park off the roadway. The Wi-Fi is not good and neither is cell service. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. This is a great location as it's just across the street from the lake. We've stayed here before and would stay again! We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The good points of this campground is the Location. Right across the street from the Dixie Queen dock, and all the boat rides. The roads are narrow and winding. The sites are hard to get in, as they are allowing young trees to grow up in places that cause them to interfere with backing in the spaces. Our water faucet for hookups is leaking and has been since before we came. There was also a 500 pound brown bear going through the garbage cans, and when we alerted the park, they said clap your hands. They didn't move really quickly to rid the campground of the bear, and I believe this is a serious threat as they allow tent camping. The sites are narrow and close together. The girl in the office mixed up everyones reservation and put us in the wrong spot, and we paid extra for the specific spot.. I don't think we'll be back. This is a very nice park across the street from the lake. Due to the trees, it's tight to maneuver and some sites have narrow pads and outdoor space. They have fire pits but they don't get cleaned out compared to other parks that clean them out every day. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's in a gorgeous location and one of the nicest looking parks we saw in the area. Sites away from the highway are quiet. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and clean RV resort. Uur first site was very hard to get into but, talked with the front desk and, they moved us into a great pull-through that was far easier to get into. Very clean campground, they where constantly cleaning it, and there was security. The beach access was great with just a short walk to Zephyr Cove beach, there they have boat/jet-ski/kayak rentals and, also offer catamaran and, scenic lake cruises.Very nice brunch cruise. There is also a very nice restaurant to eat at that that offers breakfast, lunch and, dinner. food was good and, although a tad pricey was very nice to be able to eat out on the deck next to the Beach. Great RV park, very pet friendly and, super clean, has Wi-Fi as well. We will come back again and, have already made our 2012 reservation. The best feature of this campground is that you can walk from your site to the beach. It’s great: no hassle finding a parking space. You can also take a boat ride on the M.S. Dixie II located on the pier. Since the campground has a lot of beautiful Ponderosa Pine trees, it is difficult for big rigs over 40 feet to get into their assigned sites. The sites are tiered and slope front to rear. Hence, leveling may be an issue but with patience you can get it level. You can’t get satellite here due to the large and tall trees. However, they have extended cable TV with a great reception. Our Verizon internet and cell phone worked well. The sites and roads are paved. There is a nice store and restaurant across the street. There’s also a Safeway less than a mile from the campground and casinos less than 5 miles away. I highly recommend staying here if you want to spend time on Lake Tahoe. You can’t beat the access. Very nice RV park. Paved throughout and our site was nice and level - a ton of room from our site to the neighbor (we were in 155). Cell service in the area was hit or miss, didn't try their internet. Right across the street from Lake Tahoe, parking is $8 if you drive but free if you walk and there's a stop light that makes it safe for crossing. Very nice beach area and that side has the cabins, a restaurant (had a good breakfast), beach bar, gift shop, and rentals for kayaks, etc. They have security walk through at night - was never a problem while we were there - and people cleaning up every day. We loved it here and plan to return. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground. Very busy. Right across the street from Lake Tahoe. It is for big rigs, but some spots are quite tight. It is bear country so be careful with your food and BBQs. The people taking the reservations did not put us together like we requested. Had fish and chips across the street. It was great. I would stay here again. Park is across the highway from the lake in a well maintained campground. Lots of pine trees. Spaces were not too close together. Snowed our first night there. Staff very friendly. General store/gift shop at the lodge/restaurant. RV park office had a good selection of RV supplies. Would stay here again since it is a good base camp for day trips to Nevada and around Lake Tahoe.
