We rarely camp this close to home (15 miles) however we are certainly glad we did. Previous posts showed waterfront as being river, however this campground is on part of the Bay of Fundy with 26 foot tides. Site was level and although not spacious, it was more than adequate. Busy holiday weekend. The takeout at the office is a must visit. Excellent haddock & clams. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We camped at Island View Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

I am having a hard time deciding how to review this park. It has good points and bad, but over-all, I am really disappointed. Pros - It is located very close to the US/CA border, so was very convenient after a long day of traveling. And, the office staff is very friendly. We did not use the wash-rooms or laundry, but they do look clean at a glance. There is a pool, playground, and Wi-Fi. Cons -Island View has gravel roads, and since it was raining when we arrived, they were very sloshy. Wi-Fi signal is strong, but extremely SLOW. Sites are grass, a bit tight, & ours was not level. Mostly, I just found this park depressing. It impressed me as being a not-so-lovely trailer park. There are lots of long term patrons who seem to have been here for quite a while, and their sites reflect it. I get the impression that these folks are full time residents, not seasonal campers. I generally don't have a problem with long term tenants, but these creeped me out a little. I didn't see an entrance to the ocean view, but I suspect there must be one toward the rear of the park. Adequate for an overnight stay, but certainly not a destination. We camped at Island View Camping in a Motorhome.

I see this hasn't been updated for 5 years, so here is a quick assessment of the place. Yes there are still many seasonals. Roads need some improvement, they are dirt/gravel. Site is a level pull through. They have several WiFi towers and they work fine at the site. Just used W&E and they were fine. We camped at Island View Camping in a Motorhome.

There are many seasonal sites here, but there are sites for short stays in the center of the campground. We had a large, level, grassy pull-through, with trees along one side of the site. We did not use the swimming pool, but those who did, mostly children, seemed to be having a great time. There is a path that leads from the campground to the beach. We used this park as a base camp for sight-seeing in the beautiful historic town of St. Andrews and for a long day trip to the Fundy Islands. There is a free car ferry to Deer Island, and another car ferry, for a fee, from Deer Island to Campobello Island. NOTE: If you want to go to Campobello, you must take your vehicle to Deer Island, as the ferry terminal for the Campobello ferry is on the far side of Deer Island, much too far to walk. It is preferable to take your vehicle to Campobello Island also, as the Roosevelt International Peace Park,(the summer residence of FDR) is a 2+ mile walk along a busy road. There are other areas to explore as well; a provincial park, trails, lighthouses, etc. We had no trouble getting a site at this campground, as we were traveling late in the summer. We camped at Island View Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
