We paid $36.58 US for one night, this included the reservation fee of $12.50 CA. We were in the big loop of electric and water sites. Our site was described as level and it was mostly level. It did have some front to back slope, but compared to other sites is was much more level. So it is all relative I guess. We were only able to stay 1 night, there was simply no availability here in early August. You really need at least 2 nights to see both high and low tides. I was concerned about a previous post mentioning low branches. The road into and the main loop with our site in it was very good. We did not come anywhere near hitting branches. We would stay again, but only if we could stay longer. The road in, 114, from the highway is pretty rough. One thing I noticed here was people dumping their gray water on the ground. I did not see anything about it in the rules, so maybe they allow it. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Stayed at this campground in a 5th wheel while visiting Bay Of Fundy area. Our site was a level gravel 70 ft pull through site with water, sewer and power. Great spacing between the sites but caution when navigating through the park as there are many low hanging branches. The staff do an excellent job in keeping this park clean and all of our interaction with the staff have been very positive. This park is 5 minutes from the town of Alma and 30 minutes from Hopewell Rock, which is a must see when in this area. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent location to explore the Bay of Fundy tides with campsites in a beautiful wooded private setting. We chose the Chicgnecto North campground (on the hillside) over the Headquarters campground (sea level) as the Headquarters campground's weather (temperature, wind) is affected by the tides. The 30 amp electric & water sites are wooded and quite private, Site was level, electric was consistent, water good, wifi not reliable, dump station at campground exit. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Town of Alma is nearby for all necessities including Post Office, Convenience Store, numerous restaurants, liquor store, fuel. Great starting point to visit Hopewell Rocks (30 mins) & Cape Enrage (15 mins). Warning - road to Cape Enrage is very bad which is sad as it is a must see! Think twice before attempting in a motorhome - cars, trucks and motorcycles do a lot of dodging potholes on this road.

Town of Alma - Tipsy Tails Restaurant is a great place to sit on the deck and watch the fishing boats come in and out of the harbor. Kelly's Bake Shop has wonderful baked goods. Saprano's Pizza was just OK. Don't go there expecting a northeast style pizza in spite of the name. Cape Enrage Waterside Restaurant is an excellent restaurant with a creative menu and a wonderful view of the bay. Not your average tourist attraction restaurant. Highly recommend.

Our site at Chignecto North was very private, due to trees. It was difficult to see the other RVs around us, although we could hear them. There was a walking path that went close to our site, but users of the path were usually quiet and did not disturb us. The site was very long - the entry was just a driveway width, but where we parked opened up wider so we could easily have room to sit outside. The roads within the park are not extremely wide but most are one-way so there's no concern about meeting another vehicle. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Great National Park! Would go back in a second. Plenty big enough for my 53 foot combo truck fifth wheel, and easy pull-through. Was close to town and attractions and we enjoyed our stay. (Not as nice as Banff) We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

I specifically chose this campground because it had electric, water, and free internet on some sites. (I teach online and need to check emails a couple of times a day.) Thus, I was more than slightly irritated when upon checking in and asking if I needed a password for the internet, I was told I probably couldn't get any signal, even though I had one of the sites closest to the internet hub!!! And they were right. I had difficulty getting and keeping a connection, even with my booster, causing me to leave early. Mostly, I got shoulder shrugs to my complaints about the lack of internet when the availability was specified on site descriptions, but I did fill out a comment card. There are some wider and easier to access sites, but I also had trouble getting my 32' motorhome into a long, but very narrow site with some scraping of the sides by pine branches. They need to do some serious tree trimming and either widen some site entrances or post the limitations more clearly on their web site. On a positive note, sites are mostly spread apart for privacy. No cell service with Rogers, and I was told it was spotty with other Canadian carriers. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the bakery in nearby Alma. Yum! Also, I drove to Cape Enrage in my 32' motorhome, and it was a challenge. The road is narrow, hilly, and winding, so I would NOT recommend others drive this in any size motorhome or pulling any trailer! (Cars and pickups are fine.) However, once you get there, the views are gorgeous.

An exceptional campground from Parks Canada, way better than Banff. It's in the middle of nowhere, so come prepared, as the closest grocery store is over 20 miles. We used Hwy 114 from Moncton on arrival and some areas are fairly rough giving the suspension a good workout. The last mile is uphill probably some is 8 to 10% grade. We departed on 114 to Hwy 1 and it also is rough in places with a couple of steep grades. We were in site #6 which is a pull through and it was easy to access (total length is a shade over 60') It was gently sloping down from the rear and also side to side, but nothing that a few pads and the levelling system couldn't handle. Services are well located and great quality. They even have Wi-Fi and we could pick up a good signal in the coach or an excellent one in the adjacent buildings. Some of the roads are paved but others are gravel, regardless all roads were in good condition. They even have a huge playground for the kids. Would definitely return if we come back to Fundy. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Whoever claimed that this campground isn't big enough for large rigs didn't do much research. We were in the fully serviced sites, A1-A10, and they are huge and quite private. We did have a problem with the 50A receptacle which our power management system wouldn't connect to, but we were fine on 30A. The highway (114) down to Alma is steep, but you'll be fine if you go slowly. Just remember to gear down. The WiFi was great especially since we couldn't get our Rogers network cellular modem to work. We did have Verizon voice service on our phones, but no data signal. The WiFi did go out for ~36 hours during a rainstorm and it can be pretty boring, since there is absolutely no other way to get online that we could figure out. BTW, satellite TV is a no go because of the tree cover. But it is still another wonderful Canadian National Park! We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

We spent 3 nights exploring the area in and around the park. We had one of the fully serviced pull-through sites, it worked well for us. Other than getting our rig leveled (the utility connections are not in the most level areas of the site. Wi-Fi in a National Park was a plus, but the signal was weak which I solved with a repeater. A great location to explore the area. Don't miss Hopewell Rocks! We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Outstanding campground in Fundy National Park! Hikes and sights kept us busy for several days. We stayed in Chignecto North in one of 10 pull thrus with full hookups including 50amp. We got partial Dish satellite reception from our heavily wooded site. Wifi is only available close to the transmitters at the entry station or bathrooms. The roads going to the park are heavily patched and rough. At present, the coastal road from Moncton to Alma is rougher than going to the park from the north on Highway 1 and 114. From earlier reviews I was concerned about the steep hill up from the Alma entrance to Chignecto but the climb was not that bad and I have a heavy RV. I like that you can see pictures of some of the sites as well as site dimensions on Fundy’s online reservation web site. Rate shown doesn't reflect additional park usage fee. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Another really nice Provincial park with full services. Our campsite was a pull though with good 50 amp power, water pressure was a little high and sewer connections were good. The sites were level and long without any overhanging tree limbs. The free Internet connection was weak but usable. Sometime we would drive up by the check-in building for a better Internet connection. The internal wide roads were great--asphalt. The cost was low but one has to pay a Provincial park fee for each day one is in the park. There were some nice hiking trails. The town of Alma was close by and we could watch the lobster boats come in around mid morning and buy lobsters in local fish houses. We would certainly stay in this park again when we are in the area. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

We found Route 10 to Alma to be bumpy and tough on the travel trailer at times. The campground is in a heavily forested area; our spot was level and large. The comfort station was clean and modern. There was a neat gathering house for Wi-Fi, to do dishes, and meet other travelers. Apparently, it comes in handy during bad weather and avoiding swarming insects. Insects were numerous until a wind picked up. There is a gift shop a few km away, but no interpretive center or naturalists to tell us about the Bay of Fundy or local ecology. It was amazing to walk to the low tide level. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Travel Trailer.

A big campground with a lot of loops, roomy and wooded sites set in groups of cul de sacs branching off roads. Weeds could have used some trimming. Bathroom was modern but had a somewhat annoying push button shower system that required constant pushing to keep activated and released a spray mist that wet down everything in the stall. The National Park roads are nice but roads are bad to get down here (and back) from the main highway. The town of Alma near the park has a small market, restaurants, fish market, gas station and a bakery with great sweet rolls. We stayed two nights. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

This is a great Canadian National Park. The highway getting to it was in serious need of maintenance but at the park boundary, brand new blacktop. We discovered that Chignecto and Chignecto North campgrounds are accessed from the same road from Highway 114. After we turned around and came back up the big hill from the town of Alma. Sites are clean and spacious set apart at a comfortable distance from your neighbours. To use the Wi-Fi, we took our vehicle and laptop to the main entrance, close to the antenna. Very busy and noisy on the July 1st evening but the rest of the weekend was very quiet, close to nature, and relaxing. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.
