Unsanitary conditions. This campground is geared towards seasonal RV campers with little regard or consideration to tent campers or campers using the "wooden tents" or cabins. When we arrived at our campsite, we found a large amount of trash in the fire-pit area and it was obvious that although the site had been vacant for days, it had not been cleaned or tended to. We went ahead and set up camp - at the time it was around 50 degrees (fahrenheit) windy and drizzling so we didn't notice anything else wrong with the site. After setup we realized that the bathrooms were at least a 1/4 mile walk back through the campground (verified on Google Maps). Just to note, the closest tenting site to the bathrooms was still further away than any of the camper/RV sites. The next day as the weather warmed we started noticing an overpowering bathroom smell coming from the woods right next to our tent. Upon investigating, we found that previous campers had been using the woods directly behind the site as a latrine with used toilet paper strewn everywhere. Not to excuse their actions, we believe this is a direct result of having a minimum 10 minute round-trip walk to the bathrooms. We considered moving to another tenting site nearby, but found the same issue in all the sites we checked (soiled toilet paper & trash). We immediately went to the office to complain and the attendant didn't charge for the previous night and offered to move us into the "wooden tents" or cabins (#3 & #4) right on the water. As we were moving into our cabin (#3) I noticed that it seemed a little dirty and when I began to set up our bedding I noticed a large amount of mouse droppings in the bunk. We checked the bunk of the other family we were camping with in cabin #4 (who had 2 kids) and noticed the same issue. As we investigated, it looked as if there were several seasons worth of droppings in the bunks. We demanded our money back and ended up at a motel. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Tent.

Last minute decision: proved to be not the best. This place was dark, dirty, not kept up. The 1st spot they gave us was already occupied. Next one had electric that was reverse polarity. 3rd one we took although it was impossible to level.

Dogs roamed loose, people had junk draped all over. It was generally not a good location. Nothing positive going on. The seasonal people had the nice locations; overnighters got the junk. Never will go back. We got much nicer places even on Prince Edward Island for less $$ than this! The roads were dirty, rutted, and windy. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Motorhome.

Arriving in this park we were excited to be able to camp near the St. John River. We were sad to discover however that all the sites there were taken up by seasonal campers. Having had to pay cash for the site, we proceeded up to the campsite which was approximately 3 km from the main road into the bush. The site itself was peaceful and we had a good night's sleep, however we ended up near a swamp, which stank. We also discovered the site was under a boil water advisory, something we were not told at the office. All in all, not a terrible experience, but the lack of info on the water problems and the fact we were not where we wanted to be on the site made for not a great experience. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Tent Trailer.

As another recent reviewer said, they've recently added some transient sites to this mostly seasonal park. Unfortunately, the sites were created by pushing a deep, thick layer of stones, uphill, just barely wide enough for a rig to sit up on. It took about 30 minutes to get into the site and then we were expected to hook up to sewer which was uphill from the rig. Automatic leveling helped, but even with that, hooking back up with the truck on a downward slope was difficult. We chatted with two other couples that came over to talk to us after watching how difficult it was to park. They were just as frustrated trying to find a site big enough for their coach. I would not recommend this park to anyone with anything larger than 20'. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A typical RV park almost entirely filled with seasonals. Locals told me that there were few to no spots open to transients until recently. Owner recently put in about 25 back in spots with sewer, water, 30 amp in a large open grassy field with no shade. Sites have new gravel and are long enough for big rigs but narrow lanes of gravel connecting sites and lack of turn radius at corners forces you to drive over soft grass. These new sites are still a work in progress as the gravel needs to be firmed up to handle heavy RVs. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. About half of these new sites look fairly level and the rest have quite a bit of incline front to back. Bathrooms with showers are nearby although the shower wasn't clean and only had hot water so I couldn't adjust the temp. There is a small playground for kids. No cable TV, no free Wi-Fi. The few paved roads need serious repair both inside and going to the campground. Gorgeous views of the river from the campground. Per their web site, they don’t take reservations. Rate was $35 plus tax with no discounts. Overall a marginal overnight campground. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We made reservation, which were given to someone else. We excepted a smaller site yet had to pay the same amount of money. When our friends came to visit, they were told at the gate that we were not there. After spending over one hundred dollars, we were kicked off the beach because it was five minutes after our check out time. The bathrooms and showers appeared to have not been cleaned in weeks. We had to ask several employees around the park to bring us a fire pit and only received one after already being there for a several hours. They charged us extra for a site we didn't receive, and when I spoke to the owner about this error, I was told it was not his problem. Although the seasonal side of the park is relatively appealing, due to the monumental poor customer service by the owner himself, I have no intentions of ever returning to Woolastook Family Park again. We camped at Woolastook Park in a Tent.
