Nice campground. Lots were medium sized. The only real problem were the interior roads of the campground were full of pot holes, very bumpy. Only two or three OTA channels. Good WiFi though. A lot of French speaking Acadians there. We brought our golf clubs but did not get a chance to play. Very many seasonal residents there. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We rode our bikes down the road to Paarlee Beach on the Atlantic ocean. Very pretty. Also Shadiac is a very beautiful town.

Gentlemen who booked us in was very lovely to deal with. Went back in the evening to get wood and we were short a couple dollars and he said it was no problem (NB: wood was terrible, spitting and snapping all over the place). Site was okay, very basic. There is nothing to do at this park. There is a very little, old children's play area for very young kids. We weren't clear on whether or not golfing is available to campers, and we didn't ask as this didn't interest us. Bathrooms were spotless, and showers were free and lovely! Tip: let shower run for a couple minutes if no one has been in for a while. Took quite a long time for water to heat up, but it did, and shower was great! We used this as a home base for little trips. Shediac is beautiful, and Parlee Beach is a couple minutes down the road. Beautiful beach. Many restaurants not even a minute from this campground (Pizza Delight and Tim Hortons [the slowest one in Canada, I think] are right next door). Unbeknownst to us we had come to Shediac during their annual Lobster Festival. There were bands along the water at night, and they played until the wee hours. The wind off the water would carry the sound in waves, sometimes making it seem as though someone had just cranked the volume. Was not a huge bother to us, but may be to some. Not sure if there were special circumstances for the festival, or if noise by-laws are different here. Still I would recommend campground this if you are planning on day-tripping. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We paid $51.75 Canadian (appx. $41 US) for a 50 amp FHU pull thru site. The site itself was ok, decent sized with a good gravel base. However, this place does not get cleaned or picked up very often. Fire ring was full of garbage and there was lots of litter all over. The grass was long overdue for mowing, but it had mostly burned out so it was not a problem. We were in the row of pull thru sites facing a row of back in sites. The road in between is very narrow, which created a lot of problems for people trying to back in to the sites across from us. We had a couple of OTA stations, only 1 gave a dependable signal. The wifi was not bad most of the time. Shediac is mostly a French speaking town and many of the local business signs are in French only. People in the area were not very friendly. We are not likely to return to this area. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Moncton is only a 15 - 20 minute drive away. The Pump House Brewery has several good beers and the food was good. It did get very busy at times. Just down the road is the Bore View Park, a good spot for seeing a Tidal Bore is you have not seen one. We also took a day trip to the Hopewell Rocks. While we were waiting for the tide to go from from low to high (appx. 6 hours), we took a ride to Alma. A very nice small town with a good brewery

Staff - very friendly Sites - decent size, but difficult to back into due to narrow roads. WIFI - not very good. Golf Course - in rough shape. Greens were terrible. Close walking distance from "main" street with many restaurants, including Tim Hortons! We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We had a gravel and grass pull-thru site which was fairly level. There was a decent amount of space between campers. There is a lot of seasonal people here, but all in all a nice park. There is a beautiful walkway down along the river which made this a nice peaceful stay for 2 nights. The people were friendly and very helpful. The golf course was decent for nine holes, but we were too short of time to enjoy it. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Great campground on the edge of a good sized city with everything you need. Connects to 9-hole golf course and walking trail along the shore of Gulf of St Lawrence. They keep about 10 big rig sized pull throughs and 10 small back ins available for short term stays. Rest of park is filled with seasonals. But it's Canada and everyone was very friendly. All the shady sites were seasonal. Easy access for big rigs and nice wide, long sites with fire pits and picnic table. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked well. Playground for kids. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This RV Park was a pleasant surprise. We un-hooked our car from our coach when we arrived in Shediac at the Information Center. We then drove around and looked at various RV Parks and discovered in our opinion that this was the nicest park available. There was lots of room between sites and we had a pull-thru site. The area we were in was just opened 3 months previous with 95 new sites. The maintenance people came around every day and emptied your fire pit if you had a fire the previous night. The owner said that he keeps 35 of his 138 sites available for overnight RV'rs. The summer residents at the park that we spoke with were very friendly. The owner of the park was very accommodating and very friendly and actually came around later with a brochure for a park where we were headed next. There is also a 9 hole golf course at this park. I would highly recommend this RV Park in Shediac NB. We camped at South Cove Camping & Golf in a Motorhome.
