Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

A no frills campground. Level gravel sites long enough for any RV. No trees, pretty much an open field. Easy access in and out with the exception of a bumpy short strip of roadway near the office & dumpster. Good utilities, but nothing fancy. All are back in sites with the utilities at a common post in the rear. Sewer connections are at the base of the utility poles. It was a long reach for us. Black-top roads that are a bit narrow. When we were there, we had our choice of numerous sites and took one without any other Rvs next to us, so we didn't have too much of an issue of getting into our site. Wi-Fi worked great, but the cable TV was terrible, which was not a big deal for us. I forgot to use our Good Sam discount. Dumb. We camped at Wishing Star Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Ate at Capt Dan's. There is a $2 (Canadian) charge to park at the wharf where the restaurant is located. World Largest lobster is across the street at Rotary Park. Visitors info bureau also located there. Grocery store and Canadian Tire almost across the street.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Rate of $47.00 includes tax for full service, 30 amp, water and sewer. The park is easily accessible from the road. All roads in the park are narrow, single lane and paved. All sights are back in and movement in the park can be tight, especially when trying to maneuver in or out of your site depending on how vehicles are parked around you. Sites are short but adequate in width to allow for slide outs and awning. Each pad appears relatively level, is hard packed gravel with a grass area that has a picnic table and fire ring. There is little to no privacy, few tress/shade and park feels crowded when full as it was during our visit. Utilities are all located at the rear of the coach and extensions for sewer/water and electric may be needed. There is a small playground for children. The majority of the park seems to be occupied by adult seasonal units with French being the predominate language. The park is clean. We did not look for or use the restrooms or showers or check for WIFI or TV service. Good location in the heart of town with retail services close by. A short 20 minute drive to Moncton. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at Wishing Star Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A trip to the Shediac Harbor (Pointe du Chere NB) in the early evening is a popular activity. Also a trip to Hopewell Rocks - Hopewell Cape NB is worth the time. Has some of the highest tides in the world, rose 41' over a 6 hour period during our visit.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here in August and we enjoyed it so much we are going back (in Sept). The owners are excellent, the park is clean, and there is lots to do in the area. Internet is good, satellite is good, and laundry is adequate. Very friendly. We camped at Wishing Star Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This place is right on Rt. 133, expected a lot of road noise, but there wasn't any. Nice Wi-Fi, cable, hot & powerful showers. Owners were real nice, they didn't nickel and dime you for the amenities. Very friendly people. Plenty to do, see & eat. We would stay here again. We camped at Wishing Star Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
