We stayed a week at this park in a pull-through site and loved it. The sites are level, and utilities are good. We didn't get any T-Mobile signal, but didn't really expect any in this area. The TV box they give you brought in plenty of channels. They have a great rec room. Just 2 washers and 2 dryers, but they worked well. The owner was great and he stopped by several times to visit. We would definitely recommend this park. The area around the park is just beautiful. - Gannonrv
Aug 2017 - $38.00
This is a very clean park with very helpful owners on site. the hook ups were centrally located. Wifi was good at the site, we did use the Tv as it was a box system that you could get at the office. The roads were wide with no overhanging branches. - Al and Anne-Marie
Aug 2017 - $26.00
No frills but definately okay. The area is very nice (a little expensive) with a beautiful, very clean lake and quaint restaurants and a pretty little town. We enjoyed our stay very much. The park, like I said, is no frills but clean, easy to navigate, large enough sites and welcoming. There are gravel roads, gravel sites with some grass. Laundry/showers/bathrooms are centrally located and there is a very nice Rec Room with ping pong, books and other stuff. Our Wifi was great! Surprise! We were parked very close to the repeater (#31) and had as good Wifi as you would expect in your home. We were able to use our Winegard Travl'r (rooftop) and get Dish Network. Water was good pressure, electric was stable and sewer was located good. The owner was very nice (jokes around a lot) and he drives around in his golf cart a lot making sure everything is okay and everyone's happy. The sites are somewhat close together but not offensively so. I would prefer more space but it was okay. We would go back. - jomark

The electrical hook up was in the pedestal upside down making it very difficult to get a connection, we eventually did it with bungy cords to hold everything in place. The staff was very friendly. There was no wifi at the site but good connection at the office. The site was level, but the exit road had several low hanging branches. - Al and Anne-Marie

We had a fantastic stay in our 19ft trailer. Beautiful site tucked in the woods. No complaints, really. Staff was very pleasant and always accommodating. Beautiful rock fire pit, plenty of room, level site, and our very own comical chipmunk ! We will definitely return. - Happee Campah

Terrible campground
This campground is absolutely disgusting. It may seem like a good value but you are in for a nasty experience if you go here.
We rented a cabin which looked like it would be fine. When we arrived and opened up the cabin we were greeted by the smell of must and body odor. The mattresses smelled of old urine. There was dirt and grime all over the place, and graffiti on the table. The cabins are situated close enough to the highway that all you hear the entire time you are there is the sound of trucks barrelling down the freeway. The only thing that distracted from the noise were the too-close neighbors blaring music throughout the night (how about a quiet hours policy? apparently not here!)
This place will try to rip you off at every opportunity. They have an additional charge for gate access. They charge for showers. They charge for firewood they have obviously picked up from left over camping wood that has obvious burn marks on it (and may even be distributing illegal and/or invasive firewood, who knows where that wood came from?). They will try and charge you for an entire additional half-day (over $30) for staying over at their pool for just 30 minutes, even though it was rained out for the entire trip except the first day. If you make the unfortunate decision of going here, you should be on your guard and be extra careful.
By far the most exciting part about this place before we arrived was the pool. Turns out it is just as nasty as the rest of the place. The pool has a noticeable odor coming off of it. The reason, I think, is obvious. In their penny-pinching wisdom they have decided to charge for showers. Guess what that means? Probably all of the sweaty, filthy campers are just jumping in the pool to clean off instead of paying for a shower. Essentially, the pool is a giant dirty bath for the entire campground. They apparently try and make up for this by dumping chemicals in that are extremely irritating to the eyes. - leroyjones

We booked this campground thinking it was a Yogi Bear campground with all the amenities and service that a campground in that chain represents. We were wrong. From the start we were amazed at how run down everything was. The washrooms and showers were filthy. There were cigarette butts on our campsite and all over the campground. The pool area was dirty, the patio chairs were disgusting and when we asked if a few of the empty chairs were taken, one of the staff said one was his and he was saving one for a girl. The office staff was friendly and 1 or 2 of the workers were friendly but the rest were similar to the young man at the pool, disinterested and not helpful or concerned about the campground or the campers. We have camped for over 10 years and have visited over half of the U.S. states and Canadian provinces. This campground is in the bottom three of all the campgrounds we have visited. To think that this is a Yogi Bear campground is incredible. - cranmerc
Jul 2017 - $222.00
We rented a deluxe cabin based on our son having been there with his kids last year. It was awful. The deluxe cabin is falsely advertised as sleeping 8 comfortably with two double beds, two bunk beds, and a loft. One of the double mattresses was actually in the loft. We expected small, but comfortable? Not so much. The smell of urine in the bathroom and the bunk room was almost intolerable. My daughter slept in our van because she couldn't breathe the smell was so bad. We called the office and they came, made everything wet, still smelled awful. The entire cabin was filthy, no broom to be seen. The "front steps" consisted of a wooden step, slanted downward and two cement blocks, also slanted downward. We had one serious fall from that. Garbage piled up in and around a garbage can about 20 feet from the front of our cabin. The entire staff, from the office workers, to the managers there, to the young people running the slides and kayak areas were very unresponsive and were of little help. The slides were only open for three hours, a HUGE problem that is not advertised. Once I was told it was the wind (none to be found) and on Sunday we were told that the person running the slides did not come in. So the 12-3 time for the slides (ridiculous and unadvertised) now was 12:30 to 3:00. I told them they should stay open until 3:30. They did not seem to have the mental capacity to understand that. The guy at the kayak place was clueless, barely knew how many kayaks were there. The slide area looks like an abandoned parking lot. Fences leaning all over, ground was stone and mud. The horse shoe pits were a joke. An abandoned field with some metal bars stuck in the ground. Had to rent the horse shoes. Are you kidding? I would NOT recommend this place. - BobInTownsendMA
Jul 2015 - $60.00
I cannot emphasize enough you should really think about another location for camping. This is not a fun campground for anyone that has any disposable income. This appears to be nothing more than an inner city gathering of people setting up tents and campers with no order. Some sites meant for 4-6 people have 15 with two barking ankle biters. The front office staff are rude and not helpful. Kids of very young ages run around without any supervision and if you need a 30 amp site do not think about running anything with the a/c because you will trip their circuit breakers and then they need to reset when they have time. All in all it is not camping. It is like parking your camper at a local Walmart that has someone walking around in a Yogi suit and old swing sets. - StevenM

Twin Tamarack is a run down campground with shady people both working and staying at the campground. We were only there for one night on the way to Santa's Village with small children. We were put in a wetland site with swamp weeds and mosquitoes near the front of the campground. It is overrun with seasonal campers and golf carts. The store is a joke as they only have a few items and all are behind a counter as if they are afraid people will steal something. The place appears dirty and in need of repair, trash was spilling over the trash bins and people working were unfriendly in the office. Didn't see a single smile from workers or patrons while we were there. We have stayed at many high quality and highly rated campgrounds and this was a very big disappointment. Mostly older clientele and few kids. I don't suggest that anyone stays here. - JMA33
Jul 2013 - $22.00
Well laid out park with gravel roads and sites that are cut into the forest to give loads of privacy all around. WiFi is limited to sites fairly close to office. Good WiFi, good Verizon signal, well-kept campground with nice family feel. Very friendly on-site owners and staff. Pool was a little too green. Lake beach across the road was a nice plus. Nice walking roads around and near the park. - jbrucemagon
Jul 2013 - $32.00
We stayed here for a week to go to the NASCAR race in Loudon. It was a 'rustic' campground. Very few 50 amp sites so we had to settle for a 30 amp site. The electricity was not all that great as the voltage would get too low and trip my surge protector all the time, specially late afternoon when people got home from their daily outings and turned on their A/C units. Sister-in-law came and were told that the site they had did not have cable although they had asked for it, so she piggy-backed on ours. It was a quiet campground for the number of children. - Tundra

Very nice, well maintained campground. Owners seem like nice people and they work round the clock updating and cleaning the campground. Sites were well sized, clean, etc. The campground is close to just about anything you would want to do in New Hampshire. Any criticism would be on the charges for camp activities and deposits required for using rec room equipment. - JButler
Aug 2006 - $30.00
Campground is more than a mile up an unpaved, overgrown and unkempt dirt road. We called to check available site and gave the our dimensions and were told to come. We were not told that the one spot available for a 36', triple slide would be two campsites side by side. Next morning when attempting to leave, we were boxed in by overgrown trees which a fellow camper was kind enough to cut enough limps to get me out. Backing out was not possible. My souvenir is many new scratches on my motorhome. On the other hand the owners were friendly and they have installed new cabins if that is your thing. Not for big rigs! - CT Nomads

Lovely campground with lots of shade. Gravel roads, nice beach, swimming area, volleyball, etc. I spent the night on a tent site after a long weekend at Winnipesaukee on an island, and didn't want to drive all the way home. Quiet night sleeping, then hit the road first thing. I'd stay here again. Camped in my '89 Westfalia VW camper. - JudoJeff
Jul 2014 - $50.00
This is a nice campground on a small lake. The little beach is lovely with a volley ball net and area you can fish or put a small boat in, etc. The lake is small but if you just want to get into some nice New England water then it is perfect. People were nice, TV and cell coverage was good. Small but good roads and wooded environment. One way system but once you get the hang of it. The sister campground across the street has pool and hot tub but we did not use. The location is good for Meredith and the lake. Nothing special but could not really find anything in the area that was great. - FrancisandRenee

If you like to hike this is a great campground as there are many nearby trails. Clean and well kept with strong utilities. Better Wi-Fi than most campgrounds. Too many trees for SAT to work but acceptable cable. Passport rate used on non-weekend days. - ex777driver
Sep 2016 - $29.00
We stayed here twice, once during the early summer for a week and again in the fall for 6 days. Both times we were in the same spot, #11, perfect for our motor home. We wanted few trees overhead and closer to the entrance. They have added many really nice large sites further towards the back of the park. The staff is friendly and helpful as were our neighbors, seasonal campers that we met on our first stay. They have fire pits and picnic tables, leashed dogs are welcome, there are events during the season for families, a playground and shopping is close by. If you come during Bike Week, you will pay premium rates, as you would in any campground during an event. We would stay here again and have no problem with recommending this campground. - PERRELLAS

Cash for Passport America. Our site was fairly level. Many permanents but the park is well kept. Utilities were good. We are finding that at some campgrounds the 30 amp service is not that good. Here it was fine. - har-fl

This was our first stay here and there were both great things and bad things so it is hard to put a number on it. First impression was influenced partly because we arrived after dark. Check in was ok but we questioned our site as we were put on a seasonal site and we were told that we will love our site and location. Well that turned out to be a big negative for us. First off we had our 2 year old grandson with us and we were so far from the pool that we had to drive there when there were great sites near the pool. Also the site was full of junk so backing in in the dark was interesting on the thin street. There were 2 picnic tables as one was rotting away so why was that still there. Also there were hoses, electric cords and cable cords left on the site and wrapped around the hook ups and finally a pile of dirt just left on the site. Take this away and clean things up and the site is large and private with a great fireplace like all the other sites. The final issue with the site and we asked about it at check in, once we booked here, we brought 5 other couples there all staying for less time than us. They were all put together but we were clearly across the campground no where close to all our friends. We do not know why they did this but this really put a damper on our stay there. Most likely would never plan a group event here again. Other items to mention, you have to pay for internet which we have never had to do before, that would have been ok but if you pay it needs to work for the time you paid for but it would just disappear from time to time. The hot tub does not look appealing as it is very stained from the water I guess and the floor and seats are very rough and actually hurt you feet getting in and out. Now the good stuff, as I said, the site are large, private and have great fireplaces. The indoor pool is nice, we were alone everyday except our last day. The interior roads are nicely paved. So there is good with the bad here. - Happy Camper X2
Aug 2017 - $53.00
This is one of our favorite parks - large, spacious back in lots - beautiful, surrounded by tall trees. Great fire pits. A really nice indoor swimming pool and hot tub. Downside - they need to put some money into improving their interior roads - very rutted and bumpy. And one thing really bugs us - they seem to be very cheap and "money grubbing". What I mean is, as a for instance, we got there at noon - check in was not till 1 p.m. The lady said it would cost us an additional $5 to start setting up on our lot - even though, it was all ready. They didn't need to do anything special. To me, that was very cheap. Also, internet is $2 a day for each of your phones, or laptops. Ok, I get charging for internet - but doggone it, if you're going to charge me what amounts to $60 a month, then it better be good internet. It was not - most of the time, my laptop sat and buffered. I finally just shut it down and used my phone, on my own data plan. Overall, we love the park, I just wish they were less "stingy" on these items. When park owners act that way, I feel it just diminishes the experience. - Florida Honey
Sep 2016 - $38.00
LOVE LOVE LOVE this campground. After a 2 week trip through New England some one said go see Lake Winnipesaukee. Found Meredith Woods and we extended from 1 to 3 days. What a gem! Lots are very secluded and spacious. We could've parked two 40' MH side by side and extended the awnings and still have room! Nice stone fire pits, easy access to hookups and sites are surrounded by trees and huge boulders. We were there after Labor Day so there were no kids and very few campers. There is an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. The layout is such that parents can watch through glass windows while kids are in game room or video room while they enjoy the jacuzzi. Used all 3 nights and was the only one. The pool and jacuzzi were extremely clean. The lawn chairs and tables surrounding the pool looked to be new. No mold, dirt, etc. anywhere to be found. Very Impressed! We will go back to NH just to go to Meredith Woods. Highly recommended! - DeeA

Sep 2012 - $27.00
As previously stated new owners are friendly and working hard on improvements. New pool was open. Owners were waiting for pool heater to be hooked up which will be a nice touch. We had a nice site with privacy but theses sites are vanishing quickly because the owners are putting in a lot of seasonals. I doubt that if we wanted to stop here next year we would find an adequate site for our 37' RV. Cable lines were lying on top of the ground as well as water lines and sewer pipes. Labor day weekend was noisy. Folks next to us were loud after quiet time and started using foul language in their conversations but they were all gone in 2 days. Holderness is where they filmed On Golden Pond. The tenting area was nicely set in the woods. Won't stop here again since all the good sites we saw are being converted to seasonal. - rv4rob
May 2012 - $35.00
This campground has new owners who are doing a good job of bringing it up to date. They put in a new pool which was not ready when we were here Memorial Day weekend but which I understand was ready the following week. They are also doing a lot of landscaping. Our sites were fine. We were travelling as a large group and got 5 sites together. The kids participated in the activities that were offered and really enjoyed them. Dogs were welcome. One warning, there were lots of mosquitoes. I did see on their FaceBook page that they sprayed sometime after we visited. I would stay here again. - sbradley
Aug 2007 - $37.00
This was a campground with lots of seasonals. The dump station and showers were out of order. "Just been inspected and approved by Woodall's". The campground was noisy and sites very close together, in-fact my neighbor on the drivers side had his fire roaring within 8 feet of my dining slide. No monitoring noted by owners. - t.c.fal.sr

This is a nice quiet family oriented park. Lots of tents and trailers but very quiet at night. Roads are OK but not great. Lots of low branches for motorhomes. Site was good with 50 amp and water. Dump station is convenient and clean. No wifi and we could not find any TV stations even on our antenna. Verizon hotspot worked well. Office staff was very nice and actually came out while we were at the dump station to see if we had any issues with our stay. I explained that our only issue was some low hanging branches for our motorhome. The manager stated that she would have the trimming service that they contact with raise the limbs although to be honest there are not a lot of motorhome site available at this park. We stayed here in a motorhome and would stay again. - RayN

Management was friendly. The dump site was a bit awkward (natural lean away from receptacle and a tight turn to the right to exit) but adequate. - SCClockDr
