This campground was huge disappointment after looking at it online and in brochures. The swimming pool is the only nice feature at this campground. Very dirty and run down. Luckily there is a lot to do in this beautiful area. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

The road into the CG was so full of pot hole's even a bulldozer would have trouble.I thought I had entered a junk yard but it ended up being the office/shop/owner's house. Forget the bathrooms, broken toliet seat's, standing water on the shower floor, sink's out order. All of this in the basement of the rec. hall or should say WRECKED hall. I camped in the open field area with no one else, but they said they were booked up, HUMM wonder why. The owner or CO-OWNER as he said was more concerned with taking people down river in canoe's than running the CG, so he let a bunch of kid's run the office area. This CG has a lot of potiental but I talked to another camper an he said it has benn going down hill for many year's. Don't let the on line photo's fool you, this place is a dump ! Much better CG's in the local area. Don't stay here. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Great Campground. We go camping a lot and really liked this one. The pool was great with the waterslides. Activities were awesome and hayride. Big open fields for the kids. Huge campground. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Tent Trailer.Undo

We got a coupon to stay here for 25 percent off before the main season began. I gave this a seven, rather than an 8, because the bathrooms were not cleaned while we were there. I expect it was because it was so early in the season. The pool was great. They have a nice water slide. We went on the rock and roll wagon ride--great fun. The camp store could use a little more stocking and a fresh coat of paint. People in the office were plenty friendly. We stayed in "The Beach" area--down near the brook. We loved the size of the site and the privacy. I would go back again in high season to check it out one more time and see if the bathrooms were better maintained. The location of the highway is superb and the proximity to everything in the White Mountains and the Lakes Region make it a great home base! For the most part, this is a good campground to visit. Big open field for the kids to play ball or fly kites or frisbee or whatever. SItes seem to range from small, tight sites that are really shaded to large open sites. The river runs along the campground so you can go upsteam and float back down to the beach area and exit there. Fishing, kayaks and canoes are there for entertainment, along with crafts, movie nights and weekend activities and hayrides. It has a nice pool that include two slides that the kids love, this pool is unheated but was not cold when we were there. Only big downsides to the campground are that the bathrooms are not for the faint of heart. They are in some need of cleaning and have been that way the last couple of times we have been there. But outside of that, this is fun campground. Definitely is a place that brings you back to nature and what camping is about. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
We stayed here for 4 days in August of 2003 in a pop-up. This park is a mixed bag. The water and electric sites are either in an open grassy field (30A) or in a heavily wooded area (20A per 4 sites). There are some full hookup sites in another area with mainly seasonal campers. Our site was in the wooded area, since all the 30A sites were reserved. These sites are only suitable for tents, pop-ups, or small TTs. The access roads in this area are narrow, winding, and bumpy. Some sites can be difficult to back in to due to the narrow road and all the trees. Some of the sites have a lot of exposed tree roots, which make leveling a trailer difficult. The wooded sites are generally large and secluded. The restrooms and showers need better cleaning. The most common problems were wet, dirty floors, and stopped up toilets. We arrived on a Wednesday and the restrooms did not appear to have any significant cleaning until Friday. The pool is great for kids. Two small water slides and a shallow end for small kids. It can be crowded on the weekends. It is not heated. There is also swimming and tubing on the adjacent river. There are childrens activities on the weekends. We noticed that the local police patrol the park occasionally. We're not sure if this is a precautionary measure or a necessity. While the park is generally quiet, there is a sand and gravel business and a concrete plant within 1/4 mile of the park. These start operations at about 5 am on weekdays and 7 am on Saturdays. So, the peace and quiet is usually broken by the sound of heavy equipment and "backup beepers". This may be a problem if you have any light sleepers. We found this campground at a local RV show. They seemed very nice and said they had made some new updates so we decided to give them a try. Since this only 3 hours away we went on a weekend. It is a Rustic campground. Lots of trees in the site areas. We had full hookups and the site was fine. Had room for a screen room and the fire ring was there with it's large stones. A covered bridge and foot/bike path brought you right to the main office and pool area. The pool at first I felt was small, but they have 2 slides and the children loved it! There is a river that runs around one side of the campground. So we dropped a group off at one end and 1 1/2 hours later they emerged at the other end with their tubes! They said they had a blast! River was mostly 3 feet - some area's 10 some areas 1 inch! Tenting areas looked very nice. Dirt roads made it dusty, but there was something very nice about this place. 30 and 50 amp service in just Water/Electric sites. Full hookups were still 20 ( no AC that weekend). All sites were away from the main office/pool/rec room but it worked. I think this would be a wonderful group camping place they had some beautiful sites that were group
