Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
We were camping at Crown Point in Strafford however we had a problem with our landing gear so we went to Camping World at Chichester to get repairs. CW could not see us until the next morning so they recommended Great Meadows just down the street. The office is so full of cigarette smoke you can hardly breathe and the lady told me "Cash Only" - $38. My pull thru sight she gave me was so narrow it took me several attempts to finally get parked. Because of the landing gear problem we could not disconnect from the truck. I took my dog for a walk around the campground - very rough roads, a few good back in sights but most were either seasonal or very rough. Dog droppings everywhere! Cable TV did not work - WiFi didn't either. Will never stay here again We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
This is the second time we stayed at the campground. I vowed I wouldn't stay here again but we have friends in the area and it is convenient. Never again...it was a bigger dump than the first time. Roads with big holes that collect water and mud during the mildest of rains. Bathrooms, that are fairly new, were filthy. Activities are strictly for kids and the ones they promote for adults are taken over by the kids and no one seems to care. Pools is the only good feature but not enough to offset everything else. This time I will never go back.. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $40.00
Somewhat run down campground. Broken asphalt access roads with multiple potholes. Sites are grass, some mud, and some gravel and seem mostly level and small. Relatively tight for large rigs - ours is 37' and we had to do a lot of backing and filling to get into a "pull thru" site. Power ok (120V with no load), water pressure excellent (60psi), sewers need a donut, wi-Fi ok (decent signal and speed). We will look elsewhere when next in this area. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $32.00
We stayed here a couple of times over the summer. The restrooms were never what I would consider to be clean. The showers had soap scum on the walls and floors. Mirrors were always dirty. While the do have activities they are all based around kids.....nothing wrong with that but the kids take over what should be the adult times as well and management does nothing. Sites are good size but they never mow the grass. On the plus side they do have a new pool that is very nice. Would not go back... We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
We were very unhappy after the weekend was over. The sites could have been mowed so much better. The older bathroom was a mess every time and flooded for two days (not because of the rain) and the loud noises from next door sites went on past 1:30 AM. Quiet time is 11pm. We constantly had to tell them to quiet down. We will never go here again. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Tent.
Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $38.00
New owners doing a lot of work to update and add more sites. New bath and shower building. Camping World nearby. As it is now, a lot of the sites are not accessible. Place is bigger than it looks and there are a lot of seasonals. Close to New Hampshire Speedway and Franconia Notch. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is under new ownership. The owners have upgraded the restrooms and showers, leveling and upgrading the park roads, power, and sewer. The park is very convenient to Camping World, the State Capitol, and shopping. We spent two days here and could have stayed longer. It is a very quiet peaceful park in the forest where you can walk long distances. We watched beavers working in the pond below the park. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Travel Trailer.
