6 Parks near Errol, New Hampshire
Oct 2015 - $35.00
Site 1D -50 sites with w & e and 32 remote sites around Umbabog Lake. Cambridge but listed at Errol, NH. This campground is in the northeast section of NH, seven miles east of the town of Errol. he trees were at peak the day we drove up so the views were outstanding. The State Park is located on route 26 east on the south end of Umbagog Lake and sites can be reserved from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. As with most NH State Parks if you have a view you pay more for the site. This campground used to be a private one until the State took over, so this is one of the newest NH State Parks to the park system. There are 50 sites with W and E and RV's can fit in most of them and some cabins to rent as well. Also, there are 34 remote campsites out on Umbagog Lake accessible only by boat. Boats, kayaks, canoes can be rented here or if camping in a remote site they will take you to the site for a fee. It is a small State Park with private homes surrounding it but it is very nice. Some sites are close together and other sites are a good size with a fire pit, picnic table and w & e hookups. There are showers for a fee 25 cents and a bathhouse all were very clean. The rangers were very nice at check in and there is a store there for purchasing ice, wood and other essentials. They will bring your wood to your site using a golf cart if you want. There is a beach area for swimming, fishing, boat dock, dump station, playground, recycling station and ranger programs in season. Wildlife viewing - deer, birds and moose. Reservations not needed when we were there midweek. Beautiful area with great views looking over the lake and the mountains in the distance. Nice. - gsnakehill

The park is in a very rural location, and the open area sites have a spectacular view of the lake.As an older park,it isn't very big rig friendly, but our site was fine for a 27 ft trailer. There is a nice camp store, and a beach area, along with a small marina offering canoe and kayak rentals. The park staff is friendly and helpful. The access road to the site was rough, but it appears that repairs are in progress. - Winniecruzer

We have stayed at Umbagog Lake State Park many times over the last 12 years. It is a very nice campground. On site amenities are limited, but the natural beauty and wonderful beach more than make up for it. Bathrooms & showers were kept reasonably clean (we had lots of rain during our stay). The surrounding area is very rural, not much to do close by. We enjoyed taking trips out on the lake (highly suggest bringing a boat, or renting a canoe) and packing the truck up for an afternoon of "moose crawling" down the dirt roads. This time we stayed at the main campground. In years past I have stayed at one of the remote sites, a very special experience. I highly suggest it!! Bring your own boat if you do... - BigNuge
Jul 2011 - $32.00
We have stayed here 2 times over 3-4 years. Would stay more if we were not living in GA. So much to do here. The owners and seasonal campers are very friendly. We were invited to pot luck and bingo. Two campers took my husband fishing with them. It is a small campground. There is a clean laundry with 2 washers and dryers. Water pressure was good. Fire rings and tables at the site. - mzc
Jun 2015 - $35.00
The campsites are located in a valley. The road leading to the campsites is a narrow gravel/dirt road. If it rains the road is subject to gullies.
The sites are not numbered very well so be sure to use the map you are given at check-in.
The owner was not friendly and the campground needed some work.
We would never stay here again. - Rick & Carol
Sep 2013 - $23.00
OK campground. No Wi-Fi, cable or antenna TV. Open sites close together. They pander to the ATV market. As we do not have an ATV, we just stayed one night and rode around the area. - JimSC
Jul 2012 - $35.00
We do not travel with children or pets: therefore, I rated this campground a 10 because it had what we require. We enjoy a clean, quiet, scenic campground and this place delivered. The mountain views are beautiful. The park offers lots of green grass, level spacious sites with trees, and two small fish ponds. Children would be bored here. The days and nights were quiet. We did not use the rest rooms or laundry facilities and cannot comment. There was no Wi-Fi or cable TV but we can live without that for a few days. The owners are friendly and helpful. We will return when in the area. - Buckie
Oct 2014 - $38.00
Very nice campground. Well maintained level back in full service 50 amp sites. Fire rings and picnic tables at @ site. Right on the lake with beach, dock and rentals. Almost new shower/laundry/pavilion with large fireplace and games. Free wifi at the pavilion. Cell service okay. Large trees and beautiful area. Nice store. The only downside was the service. It was moose season and the managers came and went as they pleased, so if you needed anything you had to watch when they returned (live on property). Will stay here again. - teepee51
Jul 2015 - $30.00
This campground is in a remote location. When you enter the grounds the road is gravel, hilly and narrow. With that said, I loved this campground. The camp store has only the basics and fishing tackle. The site are wooded with electric and water only...and the generator shuts the electric off around 11 pm til 7 am. The people are friendly and Richardson lake is spectacular . almost very site has lake view. They rent kayaks , row boats and have a small beach area... - Winnebago Wanderers
Jul 2007 - $24.00
My family and I are from Oklahoma City Area. We spent 3-4 days at the campground 2 years ago. It was the best vacation that we have ever had the people where very helpful and went out of there way to help you. I would highly recommend this campground to any one in the area or come to the state of Maine. The place is well kept and has organized activities for the kids. I would recommend that you stock up on supplies before arriving. They do have a small country store but it tends to get a little expensive if you have to keep buying things over and over again. Also the country store has homemade snacks everyday it was super esp the moon pies. - gill73115
