Because major renovations are now underway, this beautiful 180 site campground is not up to its full potential. Having camped here for decades, our family has returned year after year to enjoy large meadow sites for tents & RV's as well as tent sites in the wooded loops. The lovely Culhane Brook runs midway through the campground, the Peabody River runs alongside for swimming and fishing and the views of Mt. Madison and The Imp are worth waking up to every morning. Sites vary in size from large for family gatherings to smaller ones perfect for hikers or motorcycle riders needing a 'bed' for the night. All sites have sturdy picnic tables with fire pits and firewood and ice are available for sale. Most sites are separated from one another by wooded areas that enhance the wilderness experience. The current staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They appear to work very hard to keep the sites and facilities neat and clean. With the anticipation of newly paved roads, showering facilities, hookups and dumping station, campers will be treated to the best place to relax and enjoy all that the White Mountains has to offer as my family has done for generations. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Travel Trailer.

As others have said - Beautiful area ! Rate reflects senior National Park Pass. No hook up services and be careful on site selection when making an on-line reservation as sites vary Drastically. Interior roads were paved at one time but are now extremely potted and deteriorated. Rest rooms were clean and up to date and overall experience was good - staffing may have changed since previous poor employee reviews. Would stay again at senior rate but full rate with no services seems high. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this National Forest Campground and the view of the mountains from the open field, etc. The bathrooms are old, but clean. The tenting sites on the mountain are great. We always come back to Dolly Copp to hike her mountains. The office people are very short with you and not very helpful. You better have your ducks in a row, or you will get yelled at! They need new people in the office. It is such a beautiful place. Would have given this campground a 10, but for the people that run the campground. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Tent.

We stopped at this National Forest Campground, on our way to Bar Harbor Maine. The campground is beautiful. The campground is mainly for tents, but there were some rvs. We had a reservation for, Brook Loop, very nice area for tents.Large sites, and the restroom was not far away. Clean restrooms. The only negative thing we would say, is about the elderly lady that checked us in, at the little office. As we said we had a reservation, and she gave us such a hard time, and was so mean. What a way to start our vacation. We thought someone working in such a beautiful place , would be pleasant. Their is a ranger station down the road from the campground, we stopped in there for some information, and we had some question about the area. The ranger was very nice, and answered all our questions about trails, and driving to the top of Mt. Washington. We did say something about the elderly lady at the office of the campground. The ranger said she would pass the information on. Don't know if we would come back, if we would she the elderly lady in the office, we would turn around and go to another campground in the White Mountains. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Tent.

Easy to get to on NH16. Large sites with everything from open field to mostly shaded. Park roads are paved and bathrooms have flush toilets but no showers. Park is located at based of Mt. Madison and only a few miles from Pinkham Notch and Mt. Washington auto road. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Loved this place! The area scenery does not get any better than this. Even though there were no hook-ups or showers, only modern bathrooms, we would return here in a minute. We wish they would consider a dump station. The roads are asphalt and the sites are spacious and well maintained. We had no trouble with our 40 ft motorhome in the Big Meadow wooded section. Hayes Field is available for those wanting a mountain view in an open field. There are numerous hiking trails around the campground. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent campground if you like one with no showers, electric and sewers. It is in the White Mountain Natinal Forest so it is beautiful and some sites are able to see part of Mount Washington. You can hear the water running down the mountain from some sites and others are on a cliff overlooking the river depending on the season whether you can see it. There are very private sites and others that are in a meadow which can handle big rigs with great views of the mountains. This campground is used by a lot of campers that hike Mt. Washington and other mountains in the area. We camped at White Mountain Nat'l Forest / Dolly Copp Campground in a Motorhome.
