This is a small, "minimum frills" campground. Most of the sites are seasonals so there are a lot of friendships amongst the campers and everyone we encountered seemed to be really friendly. There is a flat grass area with a small stage where the campground musicians play for the crowds. The lake is beautiful and has a very shallow decline which makes it nice for kids. They can go out pretty far and still touch the bottom. There is one playground for the kids with a couple of climbing structures and swings but nothing too extensive. We went during the 4th of July weekend and it was amazing. They started Saturday with a patriotic tractor parade for the kids, ice cream social in the afternoon and finished out the night by putting on an amazing fireworks show over the lake. The surrounding residence to the lake join in with fireworks of their own and it makes the show just as good if not better than those you would go to a major beach to see. If you are looking for an all inclusive "resort"-like campground, this is NOT the place for you but if you are comfortable making new friends and having group dinners and just relaxing then this place is a good one to check out. We camped at Tippicanoe Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
