Now I understand why there aren't many reviews. Most sites have trailers and most seem to be long term residents. Pull thru's are on the grass and there were only a few. If all you want is a place to sleep this may do. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.

Traveling in a 43ft Class A with 4 slides and tow vehicle. GPS was incorrect on arrival location so look at maps before arrival. Entrance/exit is a tight squeeze due to an unmanned shack located in the middle of the road. They are very strict about the speed limit being walking speed. Pull through sites are the best for big rigs, which are located near the office, the other sites are located in the treed section and had lots of branches, mosquitos and biting flies. Site was grass and fairly level. Full hookups and utilities were good and conveniently located. Good Direct TV satellite and AT&T cell service. Convenient to town with all shopping needed and close to beaches. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.

We arrived a day early which caused some consternation for the lady at the desk. Check in took a while and after much consideration she determined that the site which had been reserved for us was available and we wouldn't have to move. The site was in deep woods, no satellite service. We were parked below the level of the sewer and the pipe was a good six inches above ground. We had to have limbs cut to open the slides. They did so promptly but normal maintenance should have prevented the need to call. Gravel at the site was tiny and mixed with dirt, it was a constant pain, tracking into the coach. It rained hard while there and we had gravel and mud splashed up onto the sides of the coach almost 3 feet above ground. No washing is allowed so I had to use a bucket, water and sponge to rinse off the bottom of the coach before travel. This was one of the dirtiest campsites we've had on this trip. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were in the area for a family reunion and stayed for six nights. Roads in the area are a nightmare. From the park to get to I-95 which is a toll road in the area, you have to get on Highway 1 then 101 and then I-95. The loops to do this will make you dizzy, signage is miserable and traffic drives over the speed limit. It took several days before I could travel without getting honked at! The park is close to town, the post office is a short distance north on Hwy 1.

Stopped in on our way to Maine. Nice place but a bit hard to find. Follow directions on website. Owner was a very nice lady and kids enjoyed the pool after 6 hours in car. Close to beach but we just stayed the night. Very clean place. Would stay again. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Family friendly campground. Not for partiers for sure. Want to feel that your kids can play safe this is the place. "Walking Speed" for cars strictly enforced, but for yours and your kids safety. I think we can all live with that ! Very close to the beach which is what we came for. Will return. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very few transient sites. A few near the front are big rig accessible, the site in the wooded area of the park are hit or miss depending on the size of you rig. All sites are full hook-up (aside form the tent area). Pool and playground are nice. Difficult to get in to with three night minimum during summer months. The park is clean and quiet. Convenient to the beaches. We have family here with a seasonal site, we enjoyed our stay. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.

90% seasonal. They do have 4 pull through spots for transients and short stay campers. NO cable, NO wi-fi, and only 1 clear channel on over the air TV with a $40/day rate is not a good deal, especially at the end of the season. Campground is not easy to get to either, being on a one way road. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.
